self improvement

If you are having trouble keeping motivated towards your goal, try some of these methods to help you get back on track.

Small goals - Always break down your specific goal into smaller, more easily obtained goals. These, put together, will bring you to your main goal. Smaller goals will help you feel a sense of achievement and renew your motivation towards your major goal. Celebrate each achievement.

Calendar - Keep a calendar specifically for the purpose of your self-improvement goal. Mark all important dates in your calendar, such as any milestone dates towards your goal. Use a pocket-sized calendar that you can carry with so you will always be able to look at it. Refer to it every chance you get, such as when you are waiting in line, when you are waiting for a doctor's appointment or when you are taking public transportation.

Rewards - Think of a reward that you will give yourself once you complete your goal. For instance, if there is a particular clothing or accessory item you want make it a reward. Once you reach your goal you can reward yourself with the item. The reward can be anything that you want. It may be a trip, a book, a day at the spa or anything else you deem as a reward. Research has shown that rewards work much better than punishments, even on ourselves.

Affirmations - Give yourself plenty of positive reinforcements in the way of affirmations. Tell yourself that you can do it. Nothing goes further towards helping up achieve our goals than positive thinking.

Reminders - Make sure to leave yourself plenty of positive reminders about your goals. These should help keep you motivated, especially during times of stress. A reminder can be as simple as a sticky note left in a strategic place or a pop-up calendar reminder on your computer. Keep the message simple and positive.

Coach - A coach may give those who need it that extra push. Coaches are available for all types of goals. If you have specific diet goals a nutritionist can be your coach. For exercise goals you may use a personal trainer. A life coach is available to help with all sorts of personal improvement goals.

Support Team - You can create your own support team for your specific goal. Use family members or friends to help you stay on track towards your goals. Let them give you reminders and encouragement towards your personal goal. Make sure you choose positive people to help you. If you have negative people on the team they won't be any help in you reaching your goal and may actually hinder you.

..why do people buy perfumes??..

Fragrance can cause happiness, sadness, comfort, love, and more. When you are a child, you may not be aware that your mind can remember scents and fragrances.

You may have played outside one day on the first warm day of spring and you remember the colorful Daffodils that had bloomed and the Lilacs in the yard and how well it smelled.

When you got older and you smelled Lilacs it made you feel happy inside. Fragrance is everywhere and we can remember things from our past by just smelling something that was there at that time.

It doesn't have to be flowers it could be your dad's cologne or your mom's perfume. Perfume has been around for a very long time and will continue to be around.

People buy perfume for several reasons but basically it is because of the way that it makes them feel. They may feel like they can do anything when they wear a certain perfume.

Perfume can set your mood for the day, it can boost your self esteem and it can allow you to feel good about yourself; you look good and you feel good.

You may want to wear perfume because your significant other likes to smell a certain fragrance on you. You are also less self-conscious when you wear perfumes. For others, smelling perfume may bring a bad memory to mind that they didn't want to remember.
The reason you have for wearing perfume is going to be different from everyone else. Perfume is a personal preference.

5 Ways to Lose Weight After the Holidays

Guilty of overeating during the holidays? Here are 5 simple ways to beat weight gain.

1. Drink water. People often mistake thirst for hunger, so next time you feel like noshing, reach for water first. Drinking also helps you feel full. Some experts suggest sipping water (or iced tea) just before you sit down to a meal. Continue drinking as you eat to add volume and weight to your meal.

2. Set realistic goals. One or two pounds a week maximum is doable. Top weight-loss programs advocate stopping after the first five kilos and maintaining that loss for about six months before trying to lose any more.

3. Build in splurges. If you allow yourself to eat whatever you want for 2 meals out of every 21, you won't inflict enough damage to subvert your weight loss. And you'll feel less deprived.

4. Count to 10. Studies suggest that the average craving lasts only about 10 minutes. So before caving in to your urge, set your mental timer for a 10-minute time-out. Use the time to tackle an item on your to-do list; choose one that will give you a sense of accomplishment -- and get you out of the kitchen.

5. Eat more often. People who have kept their weight off for more than a few years tend to eat an average of five times a day. Light, frequent meals curb your appetite, boost your energy, improve your mood and even speed your metabolism, since the process of digestion itself burns calories.

Lessons in CRM: when it comes to caring for customers, telecom firms need to wise up. Here's a primer of best practices, complied from a roster of CRM experts - Telecom Corporate
Telecom Asia , Oct, 2002 by Shira Levine

* Email
* Print

September means back to school--and telecom service providers could take some refresher courses as well. The summer of 2002 marked an unprecedented loss of consumer confidence in the telecom industry, as stocks plummeted and the inner workings of companies such as WorldCom and Qwest were put under the microscope. Meanwhile, despite the CLEC crash, incumbent telcos continue to face a competitive threat in many of their markets, long-distance carriers are waging a war against wireless substitution as mobile operators grapple with high churn rates and saturated markets. There's never been a better time to learn more about customer relationship management (CRM).

Most CRM vendors agree that telecom service providers have a lot to learn. "Most telecom companies have perceived themselves as being good at doing CRM, and frankly, in most cases, I find that they have a very insular view," says Steve Home, president and CEO of consultancy Analytici. "They do not understand what CRM is--they think of it as a technology solution, not as a change in business processes. The reality is that telecom companies need to fundamentally change the way they do business in order to become business-focused."

Granted, telecom carriers have challenges that other industries haven't had to face. For one thing, they have huge volumes of customers, meaning that any systems they put in place need to be large-scale.

Additionally, Raghav Sahgal, managing director for CSG Systems Asia Pacific, says every service provider will soon have to make those CRM upgrades as mass adoption of new services like Multimedia Messaging Services (MMS) and mobile commerce are just around the corner. "Service providers who want to offer these new mobile services must either supplement or replace their legacy billing platform. So, while billing systems are improved to collect revenue for these new services--the information collected on the back end becomes much richer, much more knowledgeable in terms of who the customer is, what services they use and what services they are likely to buy in the future."

But Jeff Maling, vice president of strategic accounts for consulting firm Roundarch, has a drill-sergeant approach to telecom CRM. "To me, the telecom industry doesn't have any excuses," Maling says, "Other industries have faced some of the same issues and have overcome them effectively. Telecom has just been too focused on other issues, such as domination and consolidation, and now survival, to really get CRM right. Ultimately, this industry needs to decide whether or not they care about customers."

Once carriers do indeed decide to focus on CRM, they have one significant advantage--they can learn from the successes and mistakes of other industries. Granted, sectors such as manufacturing, hospitality and banking have many fundamental differences from telecom, but ultimately, it boils down to one simple fact: A customer is a customer, and telecoms could stand to learn some lessons on how to treat them right.

went i go through this article..i realize that telecom had totally increase and nowadays everyone need to use their service..
but it was important to know customers right and they should learn the lesson about use lots of customer's data, becomes web-savvy , rethink those expectation and ect...

New Promise For Improved Breast Cancer Treatment
ScienceDaily (Feb. 2, 2009) — Mount Sinai Hospital researchers have unveiled a new technology tool that analyzes breast cancer tumours to determine a patient's best treatment options. The tool can predict with more than 80 per cent accuracy a patient's chance of recovering from breast cancer.

"Breast cancer is the most common cancer in Canadian women," said Dr. Jeff Wrana, Senior Investigator and the Mary Janigan Research Chair in Molecular Cancer Therapeutics at the Samuel Lunenfeld Research Institute of Mount Sinai Hospital, and an International Scholar of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. "Our hope with this technology is to eventually provide individualized analysis to breast cancer patients and their oncologists so that they are better informed and empowered to select a treatment best suited to them."

The technology, called 'DyNeMo' analyzes networks of proteins in cancer cells. Analysis of more than 350 patients found that those who survive breast cancer have a different organization of the network of proteins within the tumour cells, compared with patients who succumbed to the illness. DyNeMo can be used to predict the outcome in a newly diagnosed breast cancer patient and then assist clinicians and patients in making informed decisions on treatment. The study was led by the Mount Sinai Hospital team and co-authored by researchers at the University of Toronto and London, England's The Institute for Cancer Research.

In the future, this tool may be used to analyze other types of cancer and could be used to predict an individual's response to particular drugs.

"This research brings us one step closer to delivering individualized medicine in which healthcare professionals will be able to provide more accurate and personalized diagnoses and treatments," said Dr. Jim Woodgett, Director of Research for the Samuel Lunenfeld Research Institute of Mount Sinai Hospital.

The research was funded by Genome Canada with funds from Ontario Genomics Institute, and the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation (CBCF) – Ontario Region. The CBCF's Interim CEO Beth Easton said the Foundation, "is pleased to play a role, along with others, in supporting the basic science behind this exciting development for breast cancer patients."

To bring this technology to patients, Mount Sinai Hospital is working to partner with the biotechnology industry, and estimates that the tool will be available to healthcare providers within the next five years.

the article above make me think about breast cancer...
as we know, breast cancer is the most scary cancer for all woman in world wide..
this cancer is the most common cancer for women...
this new tool are really useful for everyone to face and treat this cancer well...
this tool also can increase the world heath which are very important nowadays..
i am very salute to all researcher who com out with this tool, DyNeMo...

Water pollution..

Introduction.
Comprising over 70% of the Earth's surface, water is undoubtedly the most precious natural resource that exists on our planet. Without the seemingly invaluable compound comprised of hydrogen and oxygen, life on Earth would be non-existent: it is essential for everything on our planet to grow and prosper. Although we as humans recognize this fact, we disregard it by polluting our rivers, lakes, and oceans. Subsequently, we are slowly but surely harming our planet to the point where organisms
are dying at a very alarming rate. In addition to innocent organisms dying off, our drinking water has become greatly affected as is our ability to use water for recreational purposes. In order to combat water pollution, we must understand the problems and become part of the solution.

Causes of pollution.
Many causes of pollution including sewage and fertilizers contain nutrients such as nitrates and phosphates. In excess levels, nutrients over stimulate the growth of aquatic plants and algae. Excessive growth of these types of organisms consequently clogs our waterways, use up dissolved oxygen as they decompose, and block light to deeper waters.
This, in turn, proves very harmful to aquatic organisms as it affects the respiration ability or fish and other invertebrates that reside in water.
Pollution is also caused when silt and other suspended solids, such as soil, washoff plowed fields, construction and logging sites, urban areas, and eroded river banks when it rains. Under natural conditions, lakes, rivers, and other water bodies undergo Eutrophication, an aging process that slowly fills in the water body with sediment and organic matter. When these sediments enter various bodies of water, fish respirationbecomes impaired, plant productivity and water depth become reduced, and aquatic organisms and their environments become suffocated. Pollution in the form of organic
material enters waterways in many different forms as sewage, as leaves and grass clippings, or as runoff from livestock feedlots and pastures. When natural bacteria and protozoan in the water break down this organic material, they begin to use up the oxygen dissolved in the water. Many types of fish and bottom-dwelling animals cannot survive when levels of dissolved oxygen drop below two to five parts per million. When this occurs, it kills aquatic organisms in large numbers which leads to disruptions in the food chain.

TELUK CHEMPEDAK BEACH

Teluk Chempedak is located about 5 kilometres from Kuantan. It has long been a very popular and favorite weekend retreat for the locals. And foreign tourists to Kuantan should not miss Teluk Chempedak as much as it is a definite must for local visitors to Kuantan town -- without which a Kuantan visit is not complete.

The white sandy beach and the beautiful casuarinas and pine trees line the coast, with some rocky promontories facing the incessant waves of the South China Sea. All these combined to make the beach serene and at the same time delightful.

You can see the boats of the fishermen at sea during the day, and the twinkling lights of their boats at night. The fishing village of Tanjung Api and Beserah is only about 5 km away on either side of Teluk Chempedak.

ORIGIN OF SILAT FOUND IN PAHANG

Silat Tari Pulut is essentially the earliest form of Malay silat found in the country, and it has no specific name. Some say it is the origin of the modern silat sendeng.

Subsequently Silat Tari Pulut evolves into other variations and forms, with various names given by the masters and exponents of the variations. Nowadays the name "silat tari pulut" is usually exhibited during ceremonies like Malay weddings and traditional welcoming ceremonies.

Silat Sendeng 2 Beradik originates from Paya Kumbuh, in the Minangkabau district of Sumatra, Indonesia and brought to Malaysia by the two brothers who founded the silat. Currently the silat is being practiced by students in Kampung Paya Luas in Temerloh, Pahang, with its master, Guru Nadzri (Mohd. Nazri Salleh).

Silat Melayu Lok Keris 9 is a silat form using the keris, the main weapon of the past Malay warriors. This silat was originally practiced and performed by royalties, and currently it is being taught and given the name by the exponent and master, Azlan Ghanie, who is also actively promoting the Malay art of self defence, as well as a silat type of exercise known as Senaman Tua.

He is also the publisher and writer of the popular monthly Malaysian martial arts magazine, Seni Beladiri.

Other forms of silat also exist especially in the very remote villages, with members consisting of a few students.

The current law and regulations require that the silat bodies need to be registered as an association or club. Therefore we find that those silat forms with very few members are those which are being practiced in a secretive way in remote areas and are taught only by invitation of the master.

We also can find other forms of silat practiced which are branches of silat from Indonesia such as the pentjak silat.

Psychologists say that shopping is a great stress buster for women and for men it is the other way out.well, men would definitely feels this way, they are the one who pay, right?

women shop more than men because they know what they need not only for themselves but for the whole family. a mother will have to find some new dishes to cook for the family,
or else, the children would get bored of eating the same thing everyday....

The gender difference in terms of interest have always been varied. However the happy shopping experience list only to those couples where a man wears a smile and accompanies his love in every shop, every shelf and every item in display just to please his wife.

shopping disorder can also cause one mental disorder, just as soon as they realising that they were broke.

it is not a bad thing for the rich, but not for the low and medium classes..rather than shopping, it is better to save isnt it?????

Kimono, meaning clothing in Japanese, is perhaps one of Japan's most beautiful treasure. I would like to share with you the beauty of the japanese kimono, kimono culture and the history of the Japanese kimono.

The word kimono simply means things to wear and is pronounced kee-mo-no. The plural of kimono is simply kimono. The kimono has had a long history in Japan and the kimono has changed over time to reflect the society and culture of that period. Today, a Japanese woman usually owns only one kimono typically a furosode kimono which is worn for the coming of age ceremony on her 19th birthday. For weddings, the complete bridal kimono and kimono apparel is usually rented. Kimono are also very rarely worn as every day clothing anymore. Occasionally, if you go to a small rural town in Japan or one of small islands like Okinawa, you will see the traditional every day kimono worn by elders.

The kimono has had a long history in Japan and the kimono has changed over time to reflect the society and culture of that period.

During the Heian period 794-1185, the custom of elaborate layers of colored kimono robes became popular with Japanese women. Jun-hitoe, twelve unlined robes were frequently worn with the sleeve edges and collars showing the shades of each kimono. Persons of the royal court sometimes wore up to sixteen kimono layers. During the Kamakura period of 1185-1133 with the rising influence of the military class and warriors, people had no patience or need for elaborate kimono. Practicality prevailed and during this period the kosode meaning small sleeve was introduced into the kimono.

In 1615, military leader Tokugawa moved the capital of Japan from Kyoto, where the emperor resided to Edo, the present day Tokyo. Confucianism was adopted and hierarchy became the guiding principle where citizens were ranked based on their class. During the Edo period, people began to define their status by their kimono clothing. During this time the greatest artistic accomplishments were made with the kimono.

After 1853, the US Navy sailed to Tokyo and the beginning of Japan's commercial industry was opened to the Western world. Although Japanese people continued to wear the kimono for another hundred years, the beginning of the end of this practice was near.

During the Meiji period of 1868-1912, women began working outside their homes and required different clothing to accommodate their work. The Japanese people developed techniques to compete with the machine woven cloth available from the West. Cloth from other parts of the world were bought to make the kimono and the clothing. During the Taisho period of 1912-1926, Tokyo suffered a devastating earthquake which leveled most of the homes. Many of the old kimono were lost at this time.

During the Showa period 1926-1989, the japanese government curtailed silk production by taxing it to support the military buildup. Kimono designs became less complex and material was conserved. After World War II, as Japan's economy gradually recovered, kimono became even more affordable and were produced in greater quantities. Europe and America fashion ideas affected the kimono designs and motifs, but their shape remained the same. Kimono and obi colors changed with the season and with the age and status of the wearer.

Ministry of Higher Education, Dato Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin said more jobs and new business opportunities would be stimulated because the government would increase public spending although the private sector has been cutting costs, including retrenching their workers. “Despite the current economic situation, jobs are still available in business and service sectors because the spending capacity in the country is still high...so universities are encouraging entrepreneurship programmes,” he told reporters after opening a National Information and Communication Technology seminar (ICT). He added that his ministry would work with the Ministry of Human Resources to identify job opportunities available in industries and encourage graduates to venture into fields that they have studied. Children without a classroom

GEORGE TOWN: Twenty-two pupils were forced to attend classes under a tree yesterday after their kindergarten was closed by the Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK).
The JKKK had apparently issued a vacant possession order to the kindergarten as it planned to use the premises for its own purpose. Taman Bimbingan Kanak- Kanak Kemajuan Masyarakat is in Kuala Sungai Pinang near Balik Pulau.

Efarina Mohd Jaafar, 27, a teacher at the kindergarten, said the children were denied access to the premises after the Chinese New Year holidays. "We were shocked to see the classroom locked and the gate at the fencing was also locked with an iron chain.
"How can they study in such a pathetic condition?”, she said.

"This is unbelievable," she said at the makeshift classroom with floor mats as temporary seating arrangement outside the centre.

A parent, Romadiah Che Man, 36, said it was unbelievable that the pupils had to study under such conditions. "My child is sick after being in the outdoors for hours," she said, adding the management of the kindergarten had lodged police reports against the JKKK but the problem remained unsolved. She said the parents of the pupils would seek help from the state government to find a solution to the problem.

It is as the author says up to the reader to decide: she is semi-barbaric-it could go either way, she comes to the ceramony- it could be to try and save him from his death or it could be to lead him to his death, she made the decsion before hand it was not impulsive- so in cold rage she could have decided to send him to his death or she could have put away her gealousy and chosen to save him even if it meant a certain death for her, and then the boy still has to choose- to trust her or not.
And lets not forget the boy- if he is really in love with her he will suffer as much as she does either in death or marriage to another. Maybe she knew he would rather have death because he was alittle barbaric too and she send him to the tiger out of love.
Humans are capable of both unbelievable cruetly and unbelievable love so the story in reality could end either way. It is what you think is right and what you see humans as: cruel or selfless in love.

I also think it is interesting that we would have had no problem if this story left the boys' death up to fate:
just like the king enoyed leaving the trials up to fate: the difficulty comes when it is up to humans to make the choice.

In this story first one needs to decide what they think is the right action, and then they need to decide if they think humans are capable of making the right action.

I think in general humans like fate better than choice, for I think all humans are semi bararic, and in choosing we show wether we are cruel or wether we are cabable of a high selfless love.....

at first when i read it, i was confused in a way. but the more i read it, the more i liked it. this story is really great. it shows how someone elses happiness cause problems for the people around them like jealousy and greed. this story just shows so much of how people today are. if you really think bout it, people these days always want what others have. why cant we, as humans, just be satisfied with what we have? why do we get jealous of others when we already have something thats so great? it just bugs me..this story just shows the mistakes we can make because of jealousy and greed.

valentine's bring virus!!!!

why?
i read an article about how a virus named WORM_WALEDEC.AR..would infected your computer during the valentine season. scary isnt it?
having a good feeling on reading love letter given to you in your inbox without knowing that your notebook is infected....

These e-mail messages would contain a link that redirects a user to a website with heart images in the background. When this page is clicked, the user is prompted to download a malicious file, and without you, yourself realising it, the notebook is infected!!

well, everyone live in this world with an aim..and for this virus, The purpose is to compromise the security of infected systems by opening random ports to listen for commands from a remote user. This makes the computer extremely vulnerable to infiltration which this will damaged your software, and might be your notebook too....

so, do not believe in internet!!
dont open suspicious page
or download without having your malware on!!!

Giant Snake!!!

on last 5 February, i just read an article about the finding of a giant snake, where its length is longer than a city bus and it weighs more than a bison. Well, you might think does a snake with that size exist? my answer is it does exist, just it doesn't exist now, it exist around 58 to 60 million years ago, because the discoverer only found its fossil. The name of the snake is Titanoboa cerrejonesis, which means titanic boa from cerrejon, the place where it was found. It spent most of its time in the water, just like anaconda did even though it is from boa family. As a comparison of its size, it can easily eat a cow,(not to mention human as it only need to open its mouth, and you're gone), and it will have a hard time squeezing through a door. This fact is quite surprising right??huhu..

High Blood Pressure Causes

What is high blood pressure? What causes high blood pressure?
Blood pressure is the force of blood pushing against blood vessel walls. The heart pumps blood into the arteries (blood vessels), which carry the blood throughout the body. High blood pressure, also called hypertension, is dangerous because it makes the heart work harder to pump blood to the body and it contributes to hardening of the arteries or atherosclerosis and the development of heart failure.

What Is "Normal" Blood Pressure?
There are several categories of blood pressure, including:

Normal: Less than 120/80
Prehypertension: 120-139/80-89
Stage 1 high blood pressure: 140-159/90-99
Stage 2 high blood pressure: 160 and above/100 and above
People whose blood pressure is above the normal range should consult their doctor about methods for lowering it.

What Causes High Blood Pressure?
The exact causes of high blood pressure are not known. Several factors and conditions may play a role in its development, including:

Smoking
Being overweight
Lack of physical activity
Too much salt in the diet
Too much alcohol consumption (no more than 1 to 2 drinks per day)
Stress
Older age
Genetics
Family history of high blood pressure
Chronic kidney disease
Adrenal and thyroid disorders
Essential Hypertension

In as many as 95% of reported high blood pressure cases in the United States, the underlying cause cannot be determined. This type of high blood pressure is called essential hypertension.

Though essential hypertension remains somewhat mysterious, it has been linked to certain risk factors. High blood pressure tends to run in families and is more likely to affect men than women. Age and race also play a role. In the United States, blacks are twice as likely as whites to have high blood pressure, although the gap begins to narrow around age 44. After age 65, black women have the highest incidence of high blood pressure.

Essential hypertension is also greatly influenced by diet and lifestyle. The link between salt and high blood pressure is especially compelling. People living on the northern islands of Japan eat more salt per capita than anyone else in the world and have the highest incidence of essential hypertension. By contrast, people who add no salt to their food show virtually no traces of essential hypertension.

The majority of all people with high blood pressure are "salt sensitive," meaning that anything more than the minimal bodily need for salt is too much for them and increases their blood pressure. Other factors that have been associated with essential hypertension include obesity; diabetes; stress; insufficient intake of potassium, calcium, and magnesium; lack of physical activity; and chronic alcohol consumption.

Secondary Hypertension

When a direct cause for high blood pressure can be identified, the condition is described as secondary hypertension. Among the known causes of secondary hypertension, kidney disease ranks highest. Hypertension can also be triggered by tumors or other abnormalities that cause the adrenal glands (small glands that sit atop the kidneys) to secrete excess amounts of the hormones that elevate blood pressure. Birth control pills -- specifically those containing estrogen -- and pregnancy can boost blood pressure, as can medications that constrict blood vessels.

Firstly I want to apologize because post this comment to late.this is because i'm forgot to post this last two week.Last week i got tonsil. So i want to share with you all just a little bit about tonsil.

TONSIL

The tonsils are areas of lymphoid tissue on either side of the throat. An infection of the tonsils is called tonsillitis. Most commonly, the term "tonsils" refers to the palatine tonsils that can be seen in the back of the throat.

Like other organs of the lymphatic system, the tonsils act as part of the immune system to help protect against infection. In particular, they are believed to be involved in helping fight off pharyngeal and upper respiratory tract infections.

Tonsils in humans include, from superior (top) to inferior (bottom):
adenoids (also termed "pharyngeal tonsils") ciliated pseudostratified columnar (respiratory epithelium) Incompletely encapsulated No roof of pharynx
tubal tonsils roof of pharynx
palatine tonsils non-keratinized stratified squamous Incompletely encapsulated Yes sides of pharynx between glossopalatine
and pharyngopalatine arches
lingual tonsils non-keratinized stratified squamous Incompletely encapsulated Yes behind terminal sulcus (tongue)

Growth

Tonsils tend to reach their largest size near puberty, and they gradually undergo atrophy thereafter. However, they are largest relative to the diameter of the throat in young children, and tonsillectomy (surgical removal of tonsils) may be indicated if they are obstructing the airway or interfering with swallowing. Also, when tonsils become overly enlarged or inflamed (tonsillitis), they may need to be surgically removed. In older patients, asymmetric tonsils (also known as asymmetric tonsil hypertrophy) may be an indicator of virally infected tonsils, or tumors such as lymphoma or squamous cell carcinoma. Some doctors who are not ear, nose and throat (ENT) specialists are conservative on recommending the removal of tonsils[citation needed], because the tissue cannot be put back, and removal decreases the power of the immune system. ENT specialists generally recommend removal if there are frequent recurrent tonsillitis, adenotonsillar hyperplasia causing symptomatic partial upper airway obstruction or asymmetry[

ITS ALL ABOUT LAVENDER..
Today i want to share something about lavender. It is a pale tint of violet. The colour is applies from the flower of the same name. The colour of lavender might be described as light pinkish purple. It can also be apply to a wide range of pale, light, medium or grayish violet colours. There are many variations of lavender that i know, such as lavender blue. lavender pink, pale lavender, pastel lavender and many more. Knowing the variations no doubt many people like the colours and also the fragrant flower itself that have been used in perfume and also baby oil.

PAINTINGS..

Paintings have existed for thousand of years. Eventhough i do not have any idea on what painting is but i can see that paintings have their own lovers. Painters such as Leonardo Da Vinci and Michelangelo Dali were an outstanding artist through many years. I can feel that whether you're a painter or art lover, you will find peace by just staring at the paintings. Sometimes it's quite hard to understand the meaning of paintings that we see. I hope one day i can find peace just like everyone when i stared at paintings. Hehe.

Dream..

I have read a quote sound like this, "The best way to make your dreams come true is to wake up" by
Paul Valery

it's not wrong to dream of something.. in dreams it seems so easy to get or to gain something.. but in the reality life we cannot expected the same thing in our dream.. but then, we cannot just sitting and dreaming all day long, to achieve it we must wake up and make it real.. we must put our efforts over what we've dream of.. so what we will achieved on the next day will make us the most luckiest person in the world because we had put our best effort in it..the satisfying that we'll feel made us dare to dream again..

The Silent Threat of Hepatitis B
( 5 things to know )

Dr. Nancy Reau is an assistant professor of medicine at the University of Chicago’s Center for Liver Disease, where she specializes in treating hepatitis. Here are five things she says everyone should know about hepatitis B.

1. Hepatitis B is a silent threat. People with chronic infections may feel fine for a long time, even as the virus is causing damage to the liver. Recent evidence shows that during the immune tolerant phase, when most researchers had assumed the virus was quiet, the liver may be sustaining injury. By the time symptoms appear, liver damage may be advanced. That’s why it is so important to be tested if you have any reason to think you might have been exposed.

2. People infected with hepatitis B should be tested for hepatitis C and H.I.V. Both of these viruses can be transmitted via routes that are similar to hepatitis B. Co-infection raises the risk of complications. In addition, many doctors encourage people with hepatitis B infection to be vaccinated against hepatitis A to protect their livers from additional damage. Hepatitis A is typically transmitted in contaminated water or food.

3. Family members and close contacts of people infected with hepatitis B should be tested for the virus. If they have not been exposed to it, they should be vaccinated.

4. Not every person infected with hepatitis B needs to start treatment right away. Many people live with the virus and never develop serious symptoms. Most doctors counsel patients to wait until liver function tests and a biopsy show signs that the virus is beginning to cause damage. By waiting, doctors can limit the amount of time patients need to be treated and lower the risk that drug-resistant viruses will emerge.

5. Current drugs are very effective at controlling the virus and preventing damage. And because the liver can regenerate itself, some patients with advanced disease may see their condition improve significantly after beginning treatment.

What is hypertention ?

Did you know that high blood pressure or hypertension is a symptom, not a disease.

Blood pressure is highest when the heart contracts and drives the blood into the arteries. This is called the systolic pressure. When the heart muscle is relaxing, no blood is being pushed from it and blood is leaving the arteries through the arterioles. At this time the blood pressure is lower (diastolic pressure).

Blood pressure varies with different people; and it also varies in your own body under different conditions. A certain range of blood pressure is usually considered normal, but if it is consistently higher, you have high blood pressure (hypertension). If it is much below the normal range, you have low blood pressure (hypotension).

Hypertension, or high blood pressure affects millions of people.

Blood pressure is measured by a sphygmomanometer, which is constructed on the following principle.

A rubber bag enclosed in a cloth bag is wrapped around the bare upper arm of the subject. This rubber bag has two openings, each of which is connect with a rubber tube. One of the tubes runs to a rubber bulb which acts as a pump, and the other is connected with a mercury manometer which indicates the pressure on a millimeter scale. A stethoscope is placed over the artery in the bend of the elbow, while by means of the bulb the rubber bag or cuff around the arm is inflated with air. When the air pressure in the cuff slightly exceeds the blood pressure in the artery, the flow of blood is closed off. This is detected by the stethoscope as a snapping sound. The pressure gauge on the mamometer is read in millimeters. This is the systolic pressure. The minimal pressure, which is recorded between the pulsations of the heart, is the diastolic pressure. The difference between systolic and diastolic pressure is the pulse pressure, which indicates the variation in pressure in the artery brought about by the heart beat.

Sometimes, in older people, the walls of the arteries undergo a fatty degeneration and infiltration by fatty deposits (atherosclerosis) or they may become quite hardened by deposits of calcium (arterioscerosis). In either case, the flow of blood through the affected heart is impeded by the restricted vessel and high blood pressure is the result. But arteries have thick walls and can withstand high pressure for a long time without serious trouble.

About 90 percent of all cases of hypertension cannot be attributed to any particular cause. These are called essential hypertension. Most of the others can be traced to kidney diseases, such as Bright's disease, to adrenal tumors, or to congenital narrowing of important arteries, such as the aorta. Malignant hypertension is a rare but severe form of high blood pressure which does its damage quickly and may prove fatal in a few months.

Certain types of people, frequently the heavy-set, stocky builds, seem to be more susceptible to high blood pressure than others. Heredity seems to have a bearing. Those who are inclined towards hypertension usually begin to show it in the early thirties.

Often there are few symptoms and the individual himself is not aware of the condition until a doctor checks his pressure. In some cases there are palpitation of the heart, headache, dizziness, and fatigue, but there are many exceptions to these symptoms. The eyes may reveal the condition because small blood vessels in the retina often appear different when hypertension is present. If high blood pressure is unusually severe, changes may occur in the heart and other organs. The doctor will not judge the severity of the disease merely by the height of the pressure on his instrument. Higher pressure does not necessarily mean greater risks.

One of the risks of hypertension is the direct effect upon the heart which is forced to do more work. The additional strain, particularly on the left ventricle may lead to heart trouble. Persistent high blood pressure may predispose to arteriosclerosis and the danger of coronary thrombosis. The kidneys may be affected because less blood flowing through them means less waste eliminated, and the possibility in extreme cases of uremic poisoning. If the pressure is high enough it may cause a blood vessel to rupture. If this occurs in the brain, where the walls of the vessels are thin, the result is a stroke, or apoplexy.

While there is no specific treatment for high blood pressure, much has been done in individual case, for hypertension varies with the patient. In severe cases, such as malignant hypertension, sympathectomy or cutting the sympathetic nerves in the abdominal and thoracic regions has been fairly effective in lowering the pressure. Drugs have long been used for treatment, and some have been developed in recent years which offer some promise.

Hypertension authorities agree that proper conditioning of the patient is particularly important in the treatment of high blood pressure. He should live a sensible life, avoid overweight, take things easy, cultivate a complacent attitude towards the problems of life, and cooperate with his doctor. If he realizes his limitations, and is moderate in his activities he can enjoy one the whole a happy normal life

Koo Kien Keat play mixed double???

KOO Kien Keat, who has never paid much attention to playing mixed doubles, has struck up a formidable partnership with Ng Hui Lin and is looking to stamp their mark on coming events.
The doubles remains Kien Keat's priority where, with partner Tan Boon Heong, the pair are working hard to achieve success in the 2012 London Olympics but the 24-year-old from Ipoh wants to make it in the mixed doubles as well.

After capturing a bronze medal with Wong Pei Tty in the 2006 World Championships in Seville, Kien Keat broke up the partnership to concentrate on the men's doubles in a bid to capture gold in the Beijing Olympics last August.

Kien Keat-Boon Heong's failure in Beijing prompted doubles coach Rexy Mainaky to direct Kien Keat to compete in two events and he has no complaints in his second attempt playing mixed doubles.

Kien Keat said that playing mixed doubles has helped him further polish his overall skills and he has also improved physically.
"Obviously the challenge is much tougher playing in two events but I have no complaints. In fact, I have widen my array of skills which has also helped me in the men's doubles," said Kien Keat.

"As a result, my performance with Boon Heong (in the men's doubles) has improved and I am seriously considering the mixed doubles as well."

However, Kien Keat said his partnership with Hui Lin is far from potent, but given time, they can produce better results.

They will compete in the mixed doubles in the All England in Birmingham on March 3-8 where they have a good chance of making the quarter-finals.

Kien Keat-Hui Lin, ranked World No 46, open against Devin Lahardi-Lita Nurlita of Indonesia, and if they survive, next meet Denmark's Joahim Fischer Nielsen-Christinna Perdersen. Assuming they advance, they will play World No 3 He Hanbin-Yu Yang of China in the quarter-finals.

Kian Keat-Hui Lin will also be hoping for another quarter-final berth in the Swiss Open on March 10-15 in order to break into the top 24 of the world ranking and qualify for the World Championships in Hyderabad on Aug 10-16.

While Kien Keat is biding his time to make an impact in the mixed doubles, he remains adamant on regaining the men's doubles crown, which he won with Boon Heong in 2007 but lost last year.

Kien Keat's decision to play in the mixed doubles has rubbed off on compatriot Fairuzizuan Tazari, who is also aiming for a medal in the men's doubles with Zakry Latif in the London Olympics, and has also decided to put more emphasis on the mixed doubles and will be competing in his first event with Pei Tty in the All England after a four-year lapse.

It is usually being practice for variety type of reason. For example is its soft and hard martial techniques (which attract so many people to it), demonstration competitions, health purpose, and so many other reason. Nowadays, it has been practiced worldwide, and not limited to the Chinese only. Most modern style of tai chi is based on the five traditional schools, which is Chen, Yang, Wu/Hao, Wu and Sun. The origin of tai chi is still being argued till today, however the oldest document found about tai chi is from the Chen family.
According to the history, the original style of tai chi has both not only the slow movement but also the fast one. It began when the new emperor of the Ch’ing dynasty ask the tai chi master to teach them. To avoid any bad consequences that may come if they refuse, they still taught the emperor, but only the slow movement of it. This is how the slow flowing movements of that are internationally known as tai chi came into practice.

What do you know about six sense?

Actually, sixth sense a.k.a subtle (spiritual) perseption ability is the ability to percieve something that cannot be percieved by the other fifth senses or unseen world of angels, ghosts, heaven, etc. It also include the ability to understand the subtle cause and effects behind the understanding of the intellect. Extrasensory perception (ESP), clairvoyance, premonition, intuition are the synonymous with sixth sense or subtle preception ability.

Anonymous said...

How do we percieve and understand the unseen world?

As we know, we percieve the seen world through the five physical sense that are smell, taste, sight, touch and sound, our feelings and our intellect. When it comes to the unseen world, we percieve it through the subtle senses, subtle minds and the subtle intellect a.k.a our sixth sense. When the sixth sense is developed or activated, it helps us to experience the subtle world and subtle dimension. this experience of the subtle world also known as a 'spiritual experience'.

Sixth sense and spiritual level.

As our spiritual level goes on increasing,we are able to progressively percieve a greater extent of the subtle world through our sixth sense. The extent (propotion) of the known world as compared to the subtle world or subtle dimension is 1 to infinity.

>Speak For Yourself<

Popular opinion may have it down as the first sign of madness, but scientists have found that talking to yourself is good for you.

People on public transport deal with travel stress by quietly humming, singing or talking to themselves, according to a poll by Nottingham Trent University. However, they try to do it ''sub-audibly,'' so no-one else could hear. ''People think it's legitimate to communicate to others, but not with themselves,'' says lead researcher Dr Glenn Williams. He likens talking to oneself to keeping a diary, a positive way of reflecting on one's life.

It's not just adults who benefit. Professor Adam Winsler of George Mason University in the US recently found that pre-school children who talked to themselves out loud did better in classroom activities. He said ''private speech'' was important in childhood development and should be encouraged.

>Singing Away Your Troubles<

You might think warbling in the privacy of the shower is a great way to start the day - and kinder to others - but it seems that those who sing in a group get the most benefit. Choral singers in England, Germany and Australia reported that singing improved their mood and quality of life in a survey this year by Canterbury Christ Church University. Co-author Professor Stephen Clift says singing helped some participants’mental and physical health problems. The physiological benefits of singing have also been studied recently by Dr Maria Sandgren of the University of Stockholm in Sweden. Provisional results show that singing releases oxytocin, a hormone that indicates a sense of bonding and security. In an earlier study Dr Sandgren found that amateur singers were happier after a singing lesson.

>>>>Fast Eaters Get Fat<<<<

Eating slowly could help you win the battle of the bulge. A study of more than 3000 Japanese adults published in the British Medical Journal found that those who ate their meals quickly were about twice as likely to be obese as their slow-munching counterparts.

People who ate quickly and who ate until they were full were three times more likely to be obese. The research supports previous evidence that people tend to consume more calories when they eat quickly, but also that eating quickly is linked to obesity regardless of how many calories are eaten.

Dr Elizabeth Denney-Wilson, an obesity expert from the University of New South Wales, says research suggests people can learn to eat more slowly and recognise their internal cues for fullness. She adds that while it is not known what drives us to eat quickly, behaviour such as eating while distracted and eating fast food on the go may be to blame.

Setting aside meal times and chatting between bites can help slow the rate of eating and allow your body to send fullness signals before you've overeaten.

~Slow and Steady Don't swallow your words, speak slowly if you must, and remember to enunciate.

~Speak From Experience Learn from someone you look up to. ''My dad always had something to say at weddings and parties and it usually turned out funny yet sincere.''

~Power Through If you slip up during a speech, have a quick laugh at yourself and move on. ''Usually I'll make a joke about messing up my lines then I move on and hope the audience forgets. It's called powering through.''

~Body Language ''Body language can work for or against a public speaker. You can emphasise what you are talking about, or it could be nervous tendencies that don't look so good.'' Hands stuck in pockets are a big no. Smile and use hand gestures gently.

~Memory Work Don't read from a script. ''I think you should have a good grasp of the message, then relay it in your own words. You need to add personality to your words or it will be like a maths class.''

How to get a better night sleep
hawani(ka08136)
First of all if you have trouble relaxing, besides taking a warm bath, turn on some of your most soothing music.Cutting out all caffiene after lunch will also help you to relax
Make sure that your room is dark and there are no lights that will disturb you.If you have a soothing cd of ocean waves or narures sounds, you may want to have it playing softly in the background.
If your sensitive to noise, consider ear plugs. Make sure that your pillows are fluffed and that you do not have too much or too little covering on the bed. Sheets that fit well and are the right size for your bed will stop the wrinkles and bare matress contacts that may wake you through the night.
Prior to going sleep avoid over stimulating television or movies and stress which may be too stimulating before bedtime. If phone calls are a problem, just turn down the ringer and let those calls go to voice mail.
Sometimes having aromatherapy such as a plug in or oil plug in air freshner , like lavender will help you to relax and unwind.
Make sure the room temperature is comfortable for you so that you do not awaken being too hot or too cold. Try going to bed at a time which allows you the benefits of a full nights sleep.

Stress?????

I'm sure everyone used to say "i'm so stressed out!".Actually we cant completely get rid of strees in our life, but its depend on we how to coping with a stress. So following are 5 steps we can take for coping a stress:
1)Don't just sit there. Move!

According to many psychologists, motion creates emotion. You might notice that when you are idle, it's easier to become depressed. Your heart rate slows down, less oxygen travels to your brain, and you are slumped somewhere in a chair blocking air from reaching your lungs.

2)Smell The Roses

How do you smell the roses? How about investing some money to go on that one trip you've been dreaming about? Visit a country with lots of exotic places to jolt your imagination and spur your creativity. So detach from your daily activities and venture a little bit is a good way to go.

3)Help Others Cope With Their Problems

It is very therapeutic when you engross yourself in helping others. You will be surprised how many people's problems are worse than those you may be facing. You can offer others assistance in countless ways. Don't curl up in your bed and let depression and stress take hold of you.

4)Laugh a Lot

By now you've heard that laughter is a good internal medicine. It relieves tension and loosens the muscles. It causes blood to flow to the heart and brain. More importantly, laughter releases a chemical that rids the body of pains. So laugh more.

5)Wear Your Knees Out

If there were one sustainable remedy I could offer you when the going gets tough, it would be prayer. Many people (depending on their faith) might call it meditation. It doesn't matter to me what you call it, as long as you have a place to run to.

What is the benefits of vitamin c?

Vitamin C is one of the safest and most effective nutrients, experts say. It may not be the cure for the common cold (though it's thought to help prevent more serious complications). But the benefits of vitamin C may include protection against immune system deficiencies, cardiovascular disease, prenatal health problems, eye disease, and even skin wrinkling.

A recent study published in Seminars in Preventive and Alternative Medicine that looked at over 100 studies over 10 years revealed a growing list of benefits of vitamin C.

"Vitamin C has received a great deal of attention, and with good reason. Higher blood levels of vitamin C may be the ideal nutrition marker for overall health," says study researcher Mark Moyad, MD, MPH, of the University of Michigan. "The more we study vitamin C, the better our understanding of how diverse it is in protecting our health, from cardiovascular, cancer, stroke, eye health [and] immunity to living longer."

"But," Moyad notes, "the ideal dosage may be higher than the recommended dietary allowance."

Migraine headaches can strike at any time.

They have usually been around since about the teen years, and the pain is incredibly intense and debilitating.

To live with migraines is to at times feel abnormal, incomplete in some way.
I have been living with migraines since the age of 15.

For me stress seems to be the link that mainly will trigger a migraine, although there are many others,ex: sleep disturbances, fasting, hormones, bright or flickering lights, odors, cigarette smoke, alcohol, aged cheeses, chocolate, monosodium glutamate, nitrites, aspartame, and caffeine. For some women, the decline in the blood level of estrogen during the start of menstruation is a trigger for migraine headaches.

Who is a true friend?

We all have friends. A lot gets talked about friendships. Everyone wants a true friend, and many of us believe that we have a friend who can be called a true friend. What kind of relations do friends share? When can we call a friend a true friend, and when can our friends take us as their true friend. After a romantic relationship, friendships are the most important relationships we can have. Though all of us have family and distant family, most of us rely on friends for advice, comfort and inspiration. How do we define a relation that can be called as one of true friendship?

The very first sign of a very good friend, not necessarily a true friend is that we are not worried about courtesies. You will call your friend at any hour and talk without any thought of time in your mind. Similarly, whenever you need support, you will call a very good friend and ask him/her to help you out. They expect the same from you. Another important trait of such relations is that we are not much worried about exposing ourselves. We speak about everything in our mind without worrying about what our friends will think. We are sure that they will take our talk in the spirit it was made. We are unguarded and open with friends in our talk.

A true friend is a little more than a very good friend. A true friend will support you even if it hurts his/her own interest. A true friend will understand your motives and needs and will be with you without any analysis or criticism. A true friend will come forward to help without any request and be with us in need without showing it or expecting anything in return. With a true friend, you can be sure that you will get help to the extent possible by him/her. Nothing will remain unturned. A mother is a true friend of her children. If we share such relations with an adult we can say that we are true friends.

A true friend makes no excuses of having work or appointments or anything but will be with you whenever you need him/her. In your hour of desperation, a true friend will support you even if the whole world opposes you. A true friend is not an opportunist. A true friend means to have someone who is like mother, as I said earlier. Instead of having hundreds of good friends, if you have a true friend, treat yourself lucky. If you can also become a true friend of someone, you will be blessed, because it is much easier for all of us to expect but very difficult to give. Be a true friend yourself first.

Techniques for hand pollinating corn

Corn is in the plant family Gramineae, the annual grasses. Countless varieties of corn are available for planting, and selections are adapted for a wide variety of soils and climate conditions.Corn (Zea mays) is one of the most important food crops in the United States and is a staple of backyard home gardens. This crop does not exhibit flowers with showy petals, but it does have male flowers and female flowers on each plant. The male flowers are located at the top of the stalk and are borne in a branched floral structure, called the tassel Similar to the squash male flower, you can run your fingers over the corn anthers and observe resulting smudges of pale yellow pollen. The pollen grains of corn are small and fine and are usually transferred by wind dispersal.

The female part of corn is the ears, which are edible. The ears are located lower on the stalks, just above the leaves, at the nodes. One to four ears per stalk is typical, depending on variety. The female flowers are the “silk” . The silk is the same stigma as in squash, but the stigma in corn is elongated. Each strand of silk corresponds to one kernel of corn. Pollination is achieved when pollen grains from the tassels above contact the silks at the nodes.

Two methods of pollen transfer may be used with corn. Cut an entire tassel, and use it as a wand, shaking pollen grains (dust) onto the silks. Alternatively, strip the tassel and deposit the pollen from the anthers directly onto the silks. Either way, the pollen is transferred. Be thorough when dusting the pollen onto the silks, so chances for a bountiful harvest are increased.

How do you make friends?
Firstly you have to approach people and get to know them.Secondly greet them face to face and state your name.Thirdly you ask them questions about themselves. Then listen to their answers. Then find something in common to talk about or ask them to play with you.

How to care for your skin?
-cleansing of the skin
.Regular bath 1 to 2 times daily unless you sweat excessively.
. Use of hot water can make the skin dry.
. Use mild soap or cleanser if you have dry skin.

-Applying moisturizer after bath
.The moisturizer will help to trap the moisture within the skin
.Oil (baby oil) may be used for very skin

-Using facial cleanser and toners only if you have oily skin as they can make skin very dry when the alcohol evaporates

This article is about the observation of consultant nephrologist and physician Dr Soehardy Zainudin. He said that between one quarter to a third quarter of those undergoing treatment at dilysis centers in Selangor and kuala Lumpur are between the ages of 13 and 25. It is because the kidney failure in children has several condition or diseases such as kidney and bladder defects that child was born with, kidney suffer damage due to poisonig, allergic reaction to a drug and tumor.According to Dr Soehardy, regular medical check-up including urine screening, can help doctors detect faililng kidney so that aggrassive intervention can be done to slow down the disease.
we can see that more young people have potential to become the victims of this disease. It is because they are always eat fast food, in hypertension condition, and sit infront of the computers and television than going out on the field. they need more healthy life in their daily life because prevention is better than cure.

our financial needs and wants in life

nowadays, money is everything within when we want to enter the public toilet we still need money. there is nothing we can do without money.like my mom always said everything we want to do we need money.
our personal financial management should make a healthy contribution to the realisation of the life that will make us happy.
so, we need to identify our financial needs and wants to support a good life.
this is some of the questions that we can ask ourself:

- How much do I need to finance my annual vacations?

- How much would I need to maintain my current life style?

- How much would I need to buy my dream house?

- What are the other financial goals that I would like to achieve and how much will they cost me, and when would I need it?

but don't be restricted by the current financial resources we sould focus on how we define the financial needs and wants that will give us the good life.

My experience shake hand with our deputy prime minister, heeee....

KUANTAN, Sat:

Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said today the government has no plan to set up new universities as the existing ones are sufficient to cater for the country's needs.
The deputy prime minister said that what was important was to focus on enhancing the capacity of existing universities either in terms of physical or intellectual development.

He was speaking to reporters after opening the Universiti Malaysia Pahang student convention and northern zone higher learning institution carnival today.

Also present were Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob and Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin.

Najib said at the moment there were 20 public and 21 private universities and "the number is just about enough." "Each state has a university," he added.
Najib said the Higher Education Ministry has targeted that 70 per cent of teaching staff of universities should comprise those with PhD qualification.

He also said that the government intends to accord a wider autonomy for universities particularly in carrying out research and development (R&D), curriculum development, appointments and budgeting.

"We have empowered the universities to make decisions and if they can translate this into actions and utilise it fully, the government will accord more powers to them.

"We want to see excellence; so they should be empowered to make their own decisions," he said.

Najib said that at the moment, universities still need to refer certain aspects to the ministry such as budgeting, R&D, appointments and curriculum development.

At the event, Najib also witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding involving Universiti Malaysia Pahang, Pasdec Holdings Bhd and Hicom Automative Manufacturers Sdn Bhd to collaborate in R&D, human capital development and property development within the university's campus in Kuala Pahang, Pekan.

my comment:
wow! today is a great day for my silat teams, because we make a great performance in front of our deputy prime minister and Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob. They seems like impressed with our first performance in a today's carnival(Jom Masuk U!!!)... besides that my team really happy because we got a chance to shake hand with him...

manage your life better

we can difine "manage your life" as moving from the position of looser to the position of the winner, winning the difficulties and successfully adapting to new conditions, meeting your desires and living your life fully, or what ever that you think and depends on the person.

there are many srategies to follow in order to manage your life.
follows the 11 steps below to help you achive the desired result:

1)take the decision to change - this is the most difficult step for making a change. if you are not ready to take full responsibility tahn better not take the risk at all

2) experience/knowledge - to get the best mental preparation

3) set realistic goals and priorities - after we list down the changes that we want to make, examine which of those correspond and wich do not
4)get to know your self better - understand the difference there is betweeen who you are and what you can do.

5)identify the problems in your life - check our perceptions and the way we think about life, relationship, job and people around you.

6)identify the bottlenecks - the most common bottlenecks and obstacles we face are fantasy, imginary fears and the inability to live the moment.

7)examine your relationships with others - talk to people around you, explain your anger, listen them carefully to what they say and forgive their mistakes.

8) understand the difference betwee 'I have to' and 'I want to' - in most cases 'I have to' is something like public opinion and critism while 'I want to' is the main asset of life (freedom)

9) self confidence - self confidence and positive thingking will give the desire results

10) manage your stress - controlling the levels of stress will give us more energy, willingness and confidence.

11) improve your mood by improving your health - to manage your life successfully you need to have a clear mind and a good mood because it will give your self more courage to undergo and cope with the change.

but the most important thing in make changes are courage , effort and practice. Without the trial and error, our goals have no value.
so, good luck when you want to make your life better. if you don't try something, if you don't experiment with making changes in your life you will never know and you will always wonder if things could be better.

Malaysia - Social development

Public financial assistance should be considered within the framework of Malaysian society, with its highly developed sense of family and clan responsibility. The government has generally encouraged volunteer social welfare activities and has subsidized programs of private groups. The Department of Social Welfare, under the Ministry of Welfare Services, administers and coordinates social assistance programs. The government's program of public assistance takes the form of cash, commodities, and institutional care. Children's services provide case-work services and administer children's homes. A probation service provides care and assistance for juvenile delinquents and dependents, and a handicapped persons' service aids the deaf, mute, and blind. In addition, care is provided for the aged and chronically ill.

A provident fund has provided lump-sum benefits for old age, disability, and death. Pensions are funded by 11% contributions of earnings by workers, and 12% of payroll by employers. The retirement age is 55. Work injury insurance and disability pensions to low-income workers is available, with a special system for public employees.

The government has taken active measures to improve the rights and standing of women. The Islamic Family Law was revised to strengthen the inheritance rights of Muslim women and to increase their access to divorce. The government passed a domestic violence bill that allows the courts to protect victims of spousal abuse. However, this law falls short of making domestic violence a criminal act that may be tried under the existing law regarding assault and battery. Most Muslim women play subordinate roles in public and private life in spite of their growing legal rights. In family and religious matters, Muslim women are subject to Islamic law, which allows polygyny. Custom favors men in matters of inheritance. Some Malays practice a modified form of female genital mutilation. Except in teaching and nursing, women are underrepresented in professional occupations.

Human rights abuses include arbitrary arrest and detention, torture, and other types of prisoner abuse. Caning is still used for some crimes.

Fast Eaters Get Fat

It’s a quite shocking fact that someone who eats faster has a higher risk to become obese.
According to a study of more than 3000 Japanese adults published in the British Medical Journal
found that those who ate their meals quickly were about twice as likely to be obese as their slow-
munching counterparts. That means eating slowly could help you win the battle of the bulge.
Other fact is People who ate quickly and who ate until they were full were three times more
likely to be obese. The research supports previous evidence that people tend to consume more
calories when they eat quickly, but also that eating quickly is linked to obesity regardless of how
many calories are eaten
As the conclusion, do take your time while eating..:)

'I would like to be philosopher'

One day soon I will be dead. People will look back at my life, and they might say I was a martial artist; for I have earned a seventh dan black belt (in both karate and judo). They might say I was a musician; for I have composed successful operas (in three different languages). They might say I was a footballer; for I used to represent Italy (and scored twenty-seven goals for my country during my career).

But above all, they will say, he was a great philosopher.

The difference between a hobby and greatness is total immersion, to the sacrifice of all else. I must devote my entire life to this pursuit; I must give up absolutely everything for this cause.

comment:

Well, anyone who has said the word 'Why' can argue that he is a philosopher, so I want to be more than that. I want to be remembered as a philosopher.

To be remembered as a philosopher means that you have to communicate your ideas, thoughts, processes to other people.

But being a philosopher is the lateral way your brains thinks Subconsciously,in other words, the way you think and talk to yourself inside your head.
Talking to yourself inside your head,mmmmmm.....maybe being a philosopher means that your crazy?

'Return to Paradise'

Lisa gazed out over the Caribbean Sea, feeling the faint breeze against her face - eyes shut, the white sand warm between her bare toes. The place was beautiful beyond belief, but it was still unable to ease the grief she felt as she remembered the last time she had been here.
She had married James right here on this spot three years ago to the day. Dressed in a simple white shift dress, miniature white roses attempting to tame her long dark curls, Lisa had been happier than she had ever thought possible

Comment:

I love the story and it is a great reminder of how much communication can make a difference in your life.

I think this story is amazing, because when the author first mentions the man standing there i kinda thought it was her husband but then again when they sat down to talk i was sure he wasn't and then in the end it does turn out to be him....i love just love stories like this

'Staring me in the Face'

"Have you been there?"
"Been where?" I was totally dazed. From dropping my book and banging my head and everything.
"Australia, New Zealand."
I stared at him and thought again of what Mark had said about me reminding him of someone. An Australian? Maybe an ex-girlfriend or wife?
"Not such a strange question," he said. "You're old enough to have travelled there. And Katherine Mansfield, Janet Frame, are most likely in the book."
His smile crinkled up his eyes.
"No, I haven't and yes, they are," I said.
That's how it started. He asked me a question, nodded when I spoke and then asked another. I was off, talking about reading, books and all that stuff I love.

Comment:

I liked this story alot... I was dissapointed with the ending tho i just wish it would of been her father but hey its cool they are friends. I also thought it was going to be more of a love story intill the phrase Old like ur dad . But most of all this story was really good.

Very nice use of dialog to move the story along. However it felt disjointed to me and I wasn't certain where the author really wanted to go with it.

'The Lesson'
"How long have you been working for the company?"
"I began last December, sir."
"In other words, it hasn't even been a year that you've worked here."
"It will be nine months next week, don Fernando."
"Well then: I've been with this firm for twenty seven years." He gave me another of those hard looks.
Since I felt he expected some reaction from me, I nodded my head, trying to show some kind of restrained admiration.
He slipped a small calculator out of his pocket.
"Twenty seven years, multiplied by twelve months, make a total of three hundred twenty four months. Three hundred twenty four months divided by nine months come out to thirty six. This means that I've been with the company thirty six times longer than you have. What's more, you are merely a common employee while I am the general manager. Lastly, you are only nineteen or twenty years of age, and I am fifty two. Isn't that so?"
"Yes, yes, of course."

Comment:
I had a nice laugh by reading this story. Fernando was portrayed as an irritable character and he was an example of how a boss should not be. I expected that Fernando would get some lesson from the young man and I was disappointed. However, it was quite interesting. Especially that the guy quits at the end and just moves on instead of learning the useless "lesson" from his boss. that's how it was with me.
of course, fernando's lessons are not presented by the boss today. they are presented by "career" articles in business week and yahoo news!
but anyone who thinks they would spit on Fernando, etc, is probably still in college listening to lectures about MLK and Thoreough, or has someone else paying their rent for them.

This story is insightful, but it seems to be a little cliched. A few errors in the grammar. A story that was enjoyably read till the end. Though, the last bit was disappointing and anticlimactic.

'Learning The Western Alphabet'

The hospital is on the far side of the university campus, on the lower slopes of Yue Lu mountain, and as we walk along the path between the blocks of flats everyone stares at us: why is a pretty young student like me walking next to this tall, big nosed, pink faced Foreigner? One peasant woman drops her basket, and vegetables roll all over the road in front of us.
'What are those long green things?' he asks, watching her as she scrambles to pick them up. Has he never seen bamboo shoots before?
'Why do you want to see acupuncture?' I wasn't planning to ask, it just came out of my mouth, in English.
'China is famous for it. I thought it might be fun to see.' Fun?
'It's for when you're ill, in pain,' I say. 'Not for show.' How could something so old fashioned and ordinary be special for him?
The hospital smells of herbal medicines, a sharp green smell that reminds me of childhood illnesses and my mother's cool hand on my hot forehead.

Comment:
I think that this is a wonderfully written story. And Ming Ming is so courageous!

But I found that the story was kind of one-sided. If this had been written by a Chinese person of the time, I think the story would have a totally different perspective to it.

First of all, there were quite a lot of references to when Martin and Ming Ming made love. At first, Martin said he wasn't going to last a year without sex. This made it sound as if he only had sex with Ming Ming because he lusted for it, not because he was in love. Even though later he did say he thinks he has fallen for her, I don't think his feelings were true. He may have just made himself think he is in love to feel okay about having sex with Ming Ming.

And secondly, about Ming Ming, she really is a brave and corageous girl. But I don't think the author fully understands the situation Ming Ming is in. It is later revealed that Ming Ming's family had been tortured and punished a lot during the cultural revolution. This would've obviously had a negative effect on her, and she would want to get away from her country. My parents are Chinese aswell, and they all made it out of the cultural revolution. But they know a lot of people who didn't. Many people had families who were killed, tortured and punished for having different beliefs etc. It's almost as if the government had made them hate their own country and want to move away. Ming Ming probably felt the same, with her dislike of the Chinese government, she wanted to move out of the country. Her parents also wanted her to move away as they wanted her to have a better life. Even though she said she was in love with Martin, that would've obviously been her instant reaction to him. She was influenced so much that she could make herself believe that she was in love with a foreigner. I don't think she was actually really in love with Martin, but because of her family past circumstances and also the chance to move out of China, she had unconciously made herself believe she was in love. It probably would've also been her first encounter with what she thought was 'love', as students back then were not allowed to date at all, let alone with a foreigner!
Still today, many many women from China marry just to get a visa and move out of their country.

But that's just all another perspective (:

How to Get Really Smart
A customer at Stingray Fishmongers marvelled at the owner's quick wit and intelligence.
'Tell me, Simon, what makes you so smart?'
'I wouldn't share my secret with just anyone, 'Simon replies, lowering his voice so the other shoppers won't hear.' But since you're a good and faithful customer, I'll let you in on it. Fish heads. You eat enough of them, you'll be positively brilliant.'
'You sell them here?' the customer asks.
'Only $4 apiece', says Simon.
The customer buys three. A week later, he's back in the store complaining that the fish heads were disgusting and he isn't any smarter.
'You didn't eat enough, 'says Simon. The customer goes home with 20 more fish heads. Two weeks later, he's back and this time he's really angry.
'Hey, Simon, 'he complains, 'you're selling me fish heads for $4 a piece when I can buy the whole fish for $2. you're ripping me off!'
'You see?' says Simon, 'you're smarter already.'

This story teaches me not to let go off opportunities that is right in front of us, plus we will look stupid if we show that we are stupid.

Here are some goal-setting advice that i have collected from the internet to share with all of us:

1. Be specific. What do you want to achieve?for example: “I want to do more exercise” is vague. “I want to do 30 minutes of walking a day” is precise – and measurable.

2. Go on the record. Writing down your goals helps imprint them on your brain and shows your commitment to them. Place your list where you can see it as a daily reminder.

3. Start easy. If your aim is 30 minutes’ walking a day, beginning with ten minutes each morning is a realistic and achievable small win. Building the habit every day over two weeks will boost your confidence and momentum.

4. Divide and conquer. Arrange your list into short- and long-term goals, then break them down into steps. Set a completion date for each step.

5. Tell someone. Sharing your goals with your family or a “goal friend” will help keep you accountable and will ensure you don’t lapse.

6. Reward yourself. Acknowledge your achievement of each step or the goal itself with a special treat.

this tips maybe can give some information to us..just like what we suppose to do to achieve our goals in life..same goes with our study..when we already set the target such as to get good result, then its more easy to us to achieve it..so,some advice from me is..set up your goal, set and match...try to think what i have tell you deeply...

Molly Aged 103
Journalists were interviewing Molly Holderness, a 103-year-old woman, 'Tell us, Mrs Holderness, what do you think is the best thing about being 103?' the reporter asked.
Molly smiled and looked straight at the reporter and simply replied, 'No peer pressure.'
Comment:
I hope as I get older, my pressure will lessen..and hope I can reach her age with my love ones..hehehe

i would like to share some story about the title 'compassion of women' which i have read in a magazine. This story is about a lady named Venerable Lyan Shih,67 years old. She is the one who was established the Pure Lotus Hospice of Compassion in Penang, which is provide free palliative care, counselling and various forms of assistance to the weak and needy patient.

'Seeing patients who have no hope of cure in the hospitals and sent home and left to die made me want to have a place where the sick and suffering can find solace; where the poor are cared for and the dying find their peace of mind,' says Venerable Lyan Shih.

what she had says is true.If many of people thinking just like her,i think we can help many needy and weak patient to face their illness. It takes courage, determination and hardwork to be like her because it is not easy work to do.Maybe in nowadays many of our citizen can't think like her.
She was very generous and ready to help and work with society. That's is the main reason why i'm admire her.

MOON..

It is the name given to Earth’s natural satellite. Having a diameter 3474 km, its volume is only about two percent of Earth’s volume while the pull of its gravity is only approximately 17 percent that of Earth. The Moon makes a complete orbit around the Earth every 27.3 days, but because it has orbit the Sun as well, that’s mean we will have about 28 days in lunar calendars. The eclipse will only happen when the Sun, Earth and the Moon is in the same line and their position will determine the type of eclipse that will happen. Another crucial fact about Moon is it doesn’t consist of any water, which also tell us that there is no living things there.

recently,,i had read an article at internet and i think that article was interesting..here,i want to share with you all about that article..it is about "7 definitive signs he's in love with you"

Every woman wants a sure shot way of knowing that a man you are moving around with is in love. Men generally do not say because they are afraid that the women might not be feeling the same way.so,, here are some sign to guide you..

1) The first sign is his willingness and desire to be with you.He would make it a point to call or meet even if it be for a very little time of the day.

2) One of the most important among the 7 signs that he’s in love with you is the fact that he gives very less attention to other females. If he loves you this awareness decreases and he is willing to concentrate on you.

3) The third sign is when he revels in the physical proximity. He would want to be as close to you physically as possible.

4) He is concerned about your well being and wants to make you happy at all costs.

5) A man is ready to commit if he wants to know other people who are close to him know that you exist.

6) Men have their timetables generally set; he does not want to be disturbed when he does his favorite thing. If he makes an allowance for you and decides that he wants to do something with you, then it means that he is interested in you.

7) One of the most definitive signs of the 7 signs that he’s in love with you. Is the fact that he plans his future around you or with you? If he thinks that in the future that he sees for himself, you are an important part then he is definitely in love with you and wants to have a long term relationship. He would mostly talk of living together, marriage or kids.

so,,all the woman, you have a power, don't just leave it to fate or wait for him approach you.

Salt Can Be Bad For Kids Too..

High blood pressure in children has doubled in the last 20 years and it could be due to too much salt. A recent survey of studies showed that reducing children’s salt intake can lower their blood pressure, which in turn lowers the risk of heart disease later in life, says Consensus Action on Salt and Health.

Processed food is a major culprit, though it’s now easier to find lower salt content products (check the label). A six-year-old should have no more than 3g of salt a day, so try to limit intake to 1g for each main meal and avoid adding salt when cooking

The Nuri helicopter crash 2007
I’ve read a few articles on the nuri crash 2007 when I was doing my Malaysian Studies assignment. It caught my attention when I heard there were 11 crashes and took more than 100 lifes. It was a sad story as we have the chance to change this tragedy from repeating again but the governments did not take any safety precautions since the first crash in 1969. I hope that the higher authorities realize that the life of the TUDM warriors are much more precious than theirs.

Assalamualaikum..

today i have read a nice story about al-Quran.so, i hope we can take some moral value from this article.

An old American Muslim lived on a farm in the mountains of eastern Kentucky with his young grandson. Each morning Grandpa was up early sitting at the kitchen table reading his Qur'an. His grandson wanted to be just like him and tried to imitate him in every way he could.

One day the grandson asked,
"Grandpa! I try to read the Qur'an just like you but I don't understand it, and what I do understand I forget as soon as I close the book. What good does reading the Qur'an do?"

The Grandfather quietly turned from putting coal in the stove and replied,
"Take this coal basket down to the river and bring me back a basket of water."

The boy did as he was told, but all the water leaked out before he got back to the house.

The grandfather laughed and said,
"You'll have to move a little faster next time,"

He sent him back to the river with the basket to try again. This time the boy ran faster, but again the basket was empty before he returned home. Out of breath, he told his grandfather that it was impossible to carry water in a basket, and he went to get a bucket instead.

The old man said,
"I don't want a bucket of water; I want a basket of water. You're just not trying hard enough,"

He went out the door to watch the boy try again. At this point, the boy knew it was impossible, but he wanted to show his grandfather that even if he ran as fast as he could, the water would Leak out before he got back to the house. The boy again dipped the basket into river and ran hard, but when he reached his grandfather the basket was again empty.

Out of breath, he said,
"See Grandpa, it's useless!"

"So you think it is useless?"

The old man said,
"Look at the basket."

The boy looked at the basket and for the first time realized that the basket was different. It had been transformed from a dirty old coal basket and was now clean, inside and out.

"Son, that's what happens when you read the Qur'an. You might not understand or remember everything, but when you read it, you will be changed, inside and outside. That is the work of Allah in our lives."

from this story, i can conclude that read Al-Quran frequently as it will purify our heart. When we have pure heart, it is easy to do righteous and leave jahiliyah and badness in ourselves.

thank you.

Those of you who are allergy-prone, take note.

Allergic reactions are caused when the immune system responds to allergens such as dust mites, pollen or pet hair and dander, by releasing histamine, causing symptoms such as wheezing and sneezing. The most common allergen causing allergic rhinitis in Asia are dust mites.

It’s scary but true that if you sneeze while driving at 110 km/h on the road, you can travel up to 90 metres with your eyes closed, according to the Automobile Association, so always have tissues handy – and slow down and drop back if you feel a sneeze coming on.

You can buy a car air purifier which may help remove pollen, dust and diesel exhaust. Some car purifiers plug into the cigarette lighter easily.

exotic pets

Pets are normal parts of people’s lives; it isn't at all unusual for a person to have a dog, a cat, a bird, a fish, or even a frog at home. However, some people aren't content with just having these common domesticated animals as pets.

Things to consider before deciding to be an exotic pet owner:

- When choosing an exotic pet, it is important to know the reasons for owning one and the responsibilities needed for keeping one.

- Find Out The Laws:

It is illegal to own certain types of pets in some states. You need to do your homework so that you will be completely informed. There's nothing worse than falling in love with an animal and then finding out that it's illegal for you to keep it. You should be able to research the state exotic pet adoption laws online.

- Health Care for your Exotic Pets

Veterinary costs for treatment of exotic animals may be significantly higher than for a more conventional pet due to the increased specialization. Having your exotic pet on a regular check up with a veterinarian is an important part on your exotic pet’s health as well as your family health some animals are known to carry diseases that can affect humans, such as salmonellosis and rabies. Similarly, some human diseases can be dangerous for certain animals (like strep throat).

- Appropriate environmental conditions, housing and diets for exotic pets

Providing appropriate environmental conditions, housing and diet for an exotic pet may be difficult for several reasons:

insufficient information may be available on caring for exotic pet

adequate housing may be difficult and/or expensive to procure or build

it may be difficult to provide the correct environment for the exotic pets (such as temperature or amount of sunlight)

feeding the correct diet for exotic pets

providing the right social environment for highly social species

However, exotic pets care and husbandry information for many commonly kept amphibians, reptiles, birds, and small exotic mammals are widely available through literature, animal enthusiast groups, and Internet websites and discussion forms.

So, you're ready to become an exotic pet owner. Choose the best exotic pets for you. Common exotic pets include turtles, rabbit, skunks, degus, fox or event an alligator.

THE OBSTACLE IN OUR PATH

In ancient times, a king had a boulder placed on a roadway. Then he hid himself and watched to see if anyone would remove the huge rock. Some of the king's wealthiest merchants and courtiers came by and simply walked around it.Many loudly blamed the king for not keeping the roads clear, but none did anything about getting the big stone out of the way. Then a peasant came along carrying a load of vegetables. On approaching the boulder, the peasant laid down his burden and tried to move the stone to the side of the road. After much pushing and straining, he finally succeeded. As the peasant picked up his load of vegetables, he noticed a purse lying in the road where the boulder had been. The purse contained many gold coins and a note from the king indicating that the gold was for the person who removed the boulder from the roadway. The peasant learned what many others never understand

the lesson: Every obstacle presents an opportunity to improve one's condition.

What Should You Eat When You Got A Cold???

Start with a bowl of homemade chicken soup. Research has yet to show how it works (and how Mum knew about it), but a nutrient-rich diet does build up your immune system and it fights inflammation. If the flu bug's going around your way, it's best to stock up on these healing foods:
• Orange juice: Vitamin C may shorten the duration of your cold, helping you get back on your feet.
• Oatmeal, bananas, fish, chicken, turkey: They help maintain the health of organs that make infection-fighting white blood cells.
• Apples, cranberries, tomato sauce: These contain flavonoids, anti-inflammatory substances that can strengthen your immune system.

Assalamualaikum and hello to all commenters.

I've read an article about a play on Israel's invasion of Gaza. It was staged by a group of deaf and mute pupils from Sekolah Pendidikan Khas Kuantan and Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Tengku Panglima Perang Tengku Mohamad.
Some of the boys played the role of brutal Israeli soldiers, while the girls portrayed the image of innocent Palestinian civilians.
They do this to show and share with people what was happen in Gaza, a brutal Terrorism. The Israeli soldier had kill lots of Palestinian. This is the discrimination for the Palestinian in their homeland even though they are not terrorist. So, we who do not deaf or mute should not just ignore and just keep quite of this tragedy. For sure we don't want any terrorism in our country and others because we know terrorism had give a lot of disadvantages to economics, politic, social, and relationship between the country. We must follow the deaf and mute step to encourage other people to gain peace in Gaza and all the countries in this world. We can only gain peaceful if we work together to achieve it. Teamwork is important to gain success.

Humour Heals..

As a heart surgeon at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/ Columbia University Medical Centre in New York, I have to deliver a lot of bad news. Humour is a wonderful tool. It helps patients cope with what they're facing, and it helps them get better too. There's a lot of data showing that patients who are depressed after heart surgery have a higher mortality rate, and optimistic patients have significantly fewer wound infections. Laughter can cultivate that optimism, and it truly is the best medicine in many ways:

It defuses fear - People are scared of their bodies. Humour can crack through the ice and take the fear away. For example, I have to tell patients that they might be at risk of cognitive impairment after surgery. They're terrified, fearing the worst, so I tell them in a humorous way that it's usually just like forgetting Year Two. People understand what that means, and it doesn't seem quite so scary.

It's reassuring - After open-heart surgery a patient might say to me, "Doctor, my chest really hurts." And I will respond with a wink, "Oh, does it feel like someone opened you up, cut the bone and operated in there?" That tells them that the pain is normal and they're going to be fine.

It relaxes you - Medical procedures such as surgery are stressful. When you push any engine, including your body, to its maximum, every once in a while it slips a gear. The ways the body manifests that are irregular heartbeats, high blood pressure and increased sensitivity to pain.

i have read some fact about a cat in a internet. Many people think that cats are afraid of water.but actually they're not.

Occasionally, someone can see a cat pounce spontaneously into the water. Nature documentary fans can attest to the fact that many of the cats' larger relatives, such as tigers and jaguars, love to swim.

So why isn't your cat likely to stick a paw into the pool? For the same reasons it always drives you nuts: it has a cleanliness fetish, and it's lazy. Your cat refuses to have a good time.

It won't get wet because it figures it isn't worth the effort needed to dry and clean itself with its tongue to enjoy something as superficial as marine frolic. Unless you starve it and stock your pool with fish, your cat is likely to remain landlocked.

so...this fact is true..don't judge the book by its cover..cat also can swim..but my cat did not like to bath..hahaha

Asslamualaikum and hi.
Today, I want to share with all of you about diet nutrition. For your all information, in nutrition the diet is the sum of food consumed by a person or other organism. Dietary habits are the habitual decisions an individual or culture makes when choosing what foods to eat. Although humans are omnivores, each culture holds some food preferences and some food taboos. Individual dietary choices may be more or less healthy. Proper nutrition requires the proper ingestion and equally important, the absorption of vitamins, minerals, and fuel in the form of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. Dietary habits and choices play a significant role in health and mortality, and can also define cultures and play a role in religion. For me, everyone can apply diet in their life but must in proper way. Thank you.

hi...
i know that I'm quite late to post my comment...
first of all. my apologize for that teacher...
i really forgot that...
so related to my problem who usually forgot everything...
for those who are having the same problem ....
here we share our problem and how to solve it..
WHY PEOPLE FORGOT ABOUT SOMETHING??
There are many reason that make people forgot about something..
1)the thing that we have to do is take a long time which means it can be done in a long time..so people always postpone it when they realize that thing as i do it before..so at last they do that in the last minute..
2) The thing is not very important..so they feel that it is fine if they do not done that thing and just give the reason that they are forgot about that thing.I'm not telling that Technical English is not important but the other thing.don't take in your heart teacher..hihi.English is very important teacher especially in facing in the world challenge today.sincerely i hate English very much before when i in form 1 because I'm so poor in grammar but as time going on i fall in love with English..and until now even i can't communicate well in English but i try harder to make it easy and i hope that i can use it as my daily language in the future. i still appreciate my mother tongue but just for the other benefit i love to speak English even sometime my language is broken. opss..i think I'm out of the topic..hihi..
3) we do not take note of the thing when we noticed that.
4) the other point is that person is a good 'forgoer'.means may be he having the behavior..
SO HOW TO OVERCOME THESE PROBLEM?

1) first of all take note of everything that we should do.even a simple matter but take note so that we are not going to forget anything.
2) List all the thing that we should do. for example before you go to the bed at night you list down what you should do tomorrow and tick the thing that you can't finish by today..at least you can't miss anything..
3)don't take easy anything that you are asked to do otherwise you will forgot it as i done it..
...so think that all some tips from me.... wait for the others topic...)=

Assalamualaikum and hello to everyone.
How far health is important for someone?. For your all information, there are two type of health, physical health and mental health. Physical fitness is good body health, and is the result of regular exercise, proper diet and nutrition, and proper rest for physical recovery. A strong indicator of the health of localized population is their height|weight, which generally increases with improved nutrition and health care. This is also influenced by the standard of living and quality of life. Genetics also plays a major role in people's height. The study of human growth, its regulators, and implications is known as Auxology. Besides that, mental health refers to an individual's emotional and psychological well-being. Merriam-Webster defines mental health as "A state of emotional and psychological well-being in which an individual is able to use his or her cognitive and emotional capabilities, function in society, and meet the ordinary demands of everyday life."
According to the World Health Organization, there is no single "official" definition of mental health. Cultural differences, subjective assessments, and competing professional theories all affect how "mental health" is defined. In general, most experts agree that "mental health" and "mental illness" are not opposites. In other words, the absence of a recognized mental disorder is not necessarily an indicator of sound mental health. One way to think about mental health is by looking at how effectively and successfully a person functions. Feeling capable and competent; being able to handle normal levels of stress, maintain satisfying relationships, and lead an independent life; and being able to "bounce back," or recover from difficult situations, are all signs of mental health.. A combination of physical, emotional, social and most importantly mental well-being is necessary to achieve overall health. As conclusion, health is so important for someone in daily life. We must take care our health so that we can have a good life.

Assalamualaikum...and Hello...This time I would like to share with you guys about this article that I found. It is about Sakura, or in english it is called Cherry Blossoms. It is a very beautiful flower. It can be found at Japan, China, India, and Korea.

In English, the word "Sakura" is equivalent to Japanese flowering cherry. During Heinan Period (794-1191), the Japanese nobility sought to emulate many practice from China. This is also include flower veiwing. the Nobility will gather and celebrate under the blossoms.

In Japan, the cherry trees were planted and cultivated for their beauty. The blossoming begins in Okinawa in January and typically reaches Kyoto and Tokyo at the end of March or the beggining of the April.

In my opinion, Sakura or Cherry Blossom is very beautiful flower. Eventhough, I haven't have the chance to see it yet, but someday I would. I think I like it the most when the petals of the flower falls...That's all from me. Thank You.

Today I want to share with all of you about animal that I really love and like it. It is a cat. The cat (Felis catus), also known as the domestic cat or house cat to distinguish it from other felines and felids, is a small predatory carnivorous species of crepuscular mammal that is valued by humans for its companionship and its ability to hunt vermin, snakes, scorpions and other unwanted household pests. It has been associated with humans for at least 9,500 years. A skilled predator, the cat is known to hunt over 1,000 species for food. It can be trained to obey simple commands. Individual cats have also been known to learn on their own to manipulate simple mechanisms, such as doorknobs. Cats use a variety of vocalizations and types of body language for communication, including meowing, purring, hissing, growling, squeaking, chirping, clicking, and grunting. Cats may be the most popular pet in the world, with over 600 million in homes all over the world. They are also bred and shown as registered pedigree pets. This hobby is known as the "cat fancy." That’s all information about my favorite’s pet. I hope you all enjoy read it. Thank you.

Assalamualaikum and good morning.
A computer is a machine that manipulates data according to a list of instructions. The first devices that resemble modern computers date to the mid-20th century (1940–1945), although the computer concept and various machines similar to computers existed earlier. Early electronic computers were the size of a large room, consuming as much power as several hundred modern personal computers (PC). Modern computers are based on tiny integrated circuits and are millions to billions of times more capable while occupying a fraction of the space. Today, simple computers may be made small enough to fit into a wristwatch and be powered from a watch battery. Personal computers, in various forms, are icons of the Information Age and are what most people think of as "a computer"; however, the most common form of computer in use today is the embedded computer. Embedded computers are small, simple devices that are used to control other devices for example, they may be found in machines ranging from fighter aircraft to industrial robots, digital cameras, and children's toys.
The ability to store and execute lists of instructions called programs makes computers extremely versatile and distinguishes them from calculators. The Church–Turing thesis is a mathematical statement of this versatility: any computer with a certain minimum capability is, in principle, capable of performing the same tasks that any other computer can perform. Therefore, computers with capability and complexity ranging from that of a personal digital assistant to a supercomputer are all able to perform the same computational tasks given enough time and storage capacity.

Caffeine can cause your heart to pump faster and your breathing to quicken. You also may notice that caffeine makes you feel hyper and makes it harder to concentrate.

If you drink too much caffeine at one time, it can make you feel nervous or jumpy. Your hands may shake. Too much caffeine will make it hard to fall asleep, which might mean you won't be able to pay attention in school the next day.

And too much caffeine can give you a stomachache, headache, or a racing heartbeat. In fact, kids with heart problems should not drink caffeine because it's known to affect heart rates and force the heart to work harder.

Drinking coffee and not sleeping are not major factors in the cause of a heart attack. But that doesn't mean that they won't affect your health if you fill yourself with stimulants and loose sleep....
as the conclusion..stop taking caffeine and have your good meal..
sleep as we need at least 6 hour per day..
and last but not least manage your time as well as possible..so can have a normal person life..then bye...)=

Not only me but most of my friends go through with this condition. So the guys out there do you know how to cope with stress and how to handle it.
Here are some tips that i can share with you.
How to handle the stress?
First of all when you are dealing with stress try to calm down. Settle down the thing that you have to do. Don’t think to much about the problem that you are facing about. Let the time to determine it or you solve that problem slowly.
If you can not any solution just let it be and think slowly. Make yourself closed ton the god, Allah s.w.t. besides you can do the thing that can relief your stress like take a bath or play some game or go out with friends or else tell the problem to the right person which are good listener.
You know that not every problem that can be solve smoothly. So always think positive. May be there are better thing coming up after your stress.

Friends and family. WHICH ONE IS THE MOST IMPORTANT??
I just read an article about friends and family...you know from the survey that have been done in Malaysia among the teenagers friends come first and then family. Most of them said that friends can be share any problem compare to the family. I don’t think so. That is because how long will you get a long with your friends? May be now you are surrounded by friends because you are teenagers and most of you are further your study right now or maybe do some job but when you are getting married you will feel that how important family for you. I’ve asked some adults about this. They said that marriage is not an easy thing. Lots of responsible waiting for us. So when you are getting married you automatically spend most of your time with your family. And when you are bored or get some problem the person that you need most is family. I said that because you cannot easily tell your friends about your situation because your friends also have enough responsible to burden by their self. Maybe i get wrong but most of us need family to support them in whatever condition as they grow up. Most of the teenagers feel friends is most important but they will regret that when they are matured enough. That is why teenagers got a lot of bad influence from their friends like drug addict, social problem and crime. So bring your heart home. Show your love before you are getting late. Love your family first. But still you can get a long with your friends but do not go over board. Think about it!!

i just have read about drug addict from the Internet. mostly when someone dealing with drugs addict people will keep a distance from that person. even he or she was stop taking drugs but people always keep negative thinking about him. for me this is wrong way how to treat them. we are as the community suppose to give them support and believe in them. so that they can feel that their self is still needed in the world. most the drugs addict will take the drugs again because they are frustrated with the community surrounding which always keep negative thinking about them and they feel that it is the same if they taking the drug or not.
so stop separating them from us and give them support.it is normal for us to make mistake but don't allowed them to repeat it. check ck it up.)=

today i have gotong -royong. it is a good activity but sadly said people are not take part in the activity. most of them just saw what we are doing and do not know how to cooperate to clean up our block. how sad. people nowadays become more selfish and just do their own work compare to the past people always help each others and stay in the harmony community. i thought it is the impact from the technology exist in the world now like internet. that is because people always spend their time in front of the laptop and rarely mix with the social activity. sometimes they also do not know how to communicate well with people around. these kind of problem produce the selfish community. so stop acting alone. mix with people around.think about it.)=

What is aromatheraphy?

Aromatherapy is defined as “ the art and science of using natural distilled extracts from aromatic plants in healing the mind, body and spirit."

It employs the use of essential oils in direct inhalation, massage as well as in a myriad of other applications to achieve this. Although it was not called aromatherapy at the time, the use of essential oils in healing started thousands of years ago when ancient civilizations utilized them for various purposes, such as to protect against disease and evil, to treat physical ailments and to invoke spiritual healing.

Aromatherapy is practiced in differing ways, and seems to vary from region to region. For example, massage is the key application of aromatherapy in England. Aromatherapy schools there train in massage, reflexology, kinesiology and other helpful modalities. This form of aromatherapy is based on the idea that essential oils absorb readily through the skin, gaining access to the blood system and thus, the internal organism when they are applied topically. It also allows the client to inhale the aroma molecules. Nurses are beginning to administer massage with essential oils to their patients in hospitals and with great results! Medical aromatherapy is widely practiced in Europe, namely in France where doctors prescribe essential oils quite readily for a variety of physical ailments. It is based on the antiseptic, antibacterial, antibiotic nature of essential oils in the treatment of disease. This most often involves internal use. Aromatherapy consultations are another very effective way of employing essential oils for healing.
The Aromatherapist in this instance takes a client history, assesses their needs and puts essential oil blends together to help alleviate and ease the presenting issues. This might encompass emotional difficulties like transitions, grieving work, nervous disorders, or it could be physical or metaphysical. An Aromatherapist may refer the client to a massage therapist with a particular blend to use, and may prescribe balneotherapy and inhalation therapy Essential oils are also being used by many aromatherapists for skin care: help disinfect and heal wounds, regenerate cells, clean and tighten pores, soothe burns and sensitive skin, eliminate toxins, regulate our oil glands, stimulate hair growth, and help retain moisture, to name a few.

Of course, many energy healers are incorporating aromatherapy in their practices as a nice complement --- The vibrational and energy healing aspects of essential oils have been known about forever, and it is something that is coming back into the forefront. They are being used in Reiki, Chakra therapy, meditation, etc. Essential oils really do help break down blocks and open doors to spiritual healing

Are parabens safe when used on the skin?
Do you know what is paraben? From what that I just read, paraben is a chemical ingredients in our cosmetics and deodorants.Actually, paraben can cause breast cancer and other cancer. Many of us do not know about that.Let me share some information and research result of paraben from british researchers..
They have found that the paraben is a traces chemical in tissue from women with breast cancer. While there is no evidence parabens cause cancer, the scientists have called for the use of parabens to be reviewed. The cosmetics industry insists that parabens, which are used as preservatives and are approved for use by regulators, are safe.Dr Philippa Darbre and colleagues at the University of Reading carried out tests on samples of 20different human breast tumours.Their tests suggested the chemicals had seeped into the tissue after being applied to the skin.Their detection in human breast tumours is of concern since parabens have been shown to be able to mimic the action of the female oestrogen.Oestrogen can drive the growth of human breast tumours. However, parabens have a very, very good safety profile. We have an enormous amount of information which supports the safety of these chemicals and their use in cosmetics.
Although this research was found by british researchers,it's not approved by the other researchers.Like in the UK and in Europe, parabens are safe to use.The increased incidence of breast cancer can be explained by many other factors.
It just a information. So,I hope that we can get a new knowledge about chemical industry..
Thank You..

A GOOD NEWS TO ALL SMOKERS??
i have a reading on 30 march 2009 READERS DIGEST ARTICLE...
it said that no cigar is a safe smoke...
nowadays cigar-smoking has gained in popularity.according to the what stated on the article In the US use rose more than 50 per cent between 1993 and 2000, helped by a fad among celebrities.
why it said that cigars is more danger than cigarettes??
let me tell you...

Cigar smoke, like pipe smoke, is not traditionally inhaled.

Cigars actually produce more tar and carbon monoxide than cigarettes, and cigar tar is more carcinogenic. The smoke dissolves more easily in saliva, delivering a nicotine dose without inhalation. The mouth and tongue are just as exposed as with cigarettes. On the other hand, cigar smokers tend to smoke less. A 2003 UK study concluded pipe and cigar smokers had a risk of heart disease, stroke and death halfway between non-smokers and light cigarette smokers and the same lung cancer risk as light cigarette smokers
that is why the smoker are suggested to choose cigarettes than the cigars...
but watch out..both can cause harm to your body...
so the best way is avoiding yourself from any of them...
live with healthy life..it's not too little late ok...

Obesity is the leading cause of snoring. Other culprits include advancing age, anatomical problems such as having a small jaw, drinking alcohol and taking sedatives. Sleeping on the back is also a frequent aggravating factor.
so how to cope with snoring is you must reduce your weight, avoid alcohol before bed, quit smoking, don't take sleeping pills and treat allergies at bedtime.
so check it up...but those who are not face with obesity maybe you have the others problem with your breathing organs..so please refer to your doctor....so have a nice sleep without snoring.)=

HIRFL-CSR
a new accelerator project planned at the Heavy Ion Research Facility in Lanzhou (HIRFL), is a multipurpose Cooling Storage Ring system which consists of a main ring (CSRm) and an experimental ring (CSRe), shown in figure 1-1. The two existing cyclotrons SFC (K=69) and SSC (K=450) of the HIRFL will be used as its injector system. The heavy ion beams with the energy range of 10~50 MeV/u from the HIRFL-SSC will be accumulated, cooled and accelerated to the high energy range of 100~600 MeV/u in the main ring (CSRm), and then extracted fast to produce radioactive ion beams (RIB) or highly charged heavy ions. The secondary beams (RIB or highly charged heavy ions) can be accepted by the experimental ring (CSRe) for many internal-target experiments or high precision spectroscopy with beam cooling. On the other hand the beams with the energy range of 100~900MeV/u will also be provided by the CSRm while using slow extraction or fast extraction for many external-target experiments

Sarawak student crime rates rising

KUCHING,The number of students involved in crime in Sarawak is rising every year, a trend which is worrying the authorities.
Police statistics showed that in the last four years. There was a significant rise in the number of students arrested in serious and property crimes. Serious crimes include assault, armed robbery and murder while property crimes refer to theft and break-ins.In 2006, 87 students were arrested for 32 serious crimes. The numbers increased to 132 in 2007 and up again to 162 last year. So far this year, the number of students arrested stands at 13.In 2007, 101 students were caught for theft and break-ins. The number rose to 137 in 2007 and 177 last year. Nineteen have been caught in the first three months of this year.

State police commissioner Datuk Mohamad Salleh blamed the rise on the collective failure of the community to act. There is a communication gap between the schools and the police. Some discipline teachers are not taking action for fear of retaliation.
Parents-Teachers Associations do not seem to be holding frequent meetings to tackle the problem
Besides, police would revive the twice-yearly meetings between the police and the education department on the problem of indiscipline in schools. These meetings were held regularly until 2006.Similar meetings would be held at district level between district police chiefs and schools in their area.

Everybody talk about love. What the meaning of love actually?Let me show you.

Love is any of a number of emotions and experiences related to a sense of strong affection[1] and attachment. The word love can refer to a variety of different feelings, states, and attitudes, ranging from generic pleasure to intense interpersonal attraction. The word love is both a verb and a noun. Love is not a single feeling but an emotion built from two or more feelings. Anything vital to us creates more than one feeling, and we also have feelings about our feelings (and thoughts about our feelings). This diversity of uses and meanings, combined with the complexity of the feelings involved, makes love unusually difficult to consistently define, even compared to other emotional states.

As an abstract concept, love usually refers to a deep, ineffable feeling of tenderly caring for another person. Even this limited conception of love, however, encompasses a wealth of different feelings, from the passionate desire and intimacy of romantic love to the nonsexual emotional closeness of familial and platonic love to the profound oneness or devotion of religious love.Love in its various forms acts as a major facilitator of interpersonal relationships and, owing to its central psychological importance, is one of the most common themes in the creative arts.

Why You Need Sleep

The average kid has a busy day. There's school, taking care of your pets, running around with friends, going to sports practice or other activities, and doing your homework. Phew! It's tiring just writing it all down. By the end of the day, your body needs a break. Sleep allows your body to rest for the next day.
Everything that's alive needs sleep to survive. Even your dog or cat curls up for naps. Animals sleep for the same reason you do - to give your body a tiny vacation.
Not only is sleep necessary for your body, it's important for your brain, too. Though no one is exactly sure what work the brain does when you're asleep, some scientists think that the brain sorts through and stores information, replaces chemicals, and solves problems while you snooze.
Most kids between 5 and 12 get about 9.5 hours a night, but experts agree that most need 10 or 11 hours each night. Sleep is an individual thing and some kids need more than others.
When your body doesn't have enough hours to rest, you may feel tired or cranky, or you may be unable to think clearly. You might have a hard time following directions, or you might have an argument with a friend over something really stupid. A school assignment that's normally easy may feel impossible, or you may feel clumsy playing your favorite sport or instrument.
One more reason to get enough sleep: If you don't, you may not grow as well. That's right, researchers believe too little sleep can affect growth and your immune system - which keeps you from getting sick.
The Stages of Sleep
As you're drifting off to sleep, it doesn't seem like much is happening . . . the room is getting fuzzy and your eyelids feel heavier and heavier. But what happens next? A lot!
Your brain swings into action, telling your body how to sleep. As you slowly fall asleep, you begin to enter the five different stages of sleep:
Stage 1
In this stage, your brain gives the signal to your muscles to relax. It also tells your heart to beat a little slower, and your body temperature drops a bit.
Stage 2
After a little while, you enter stage 2, which is a light sleep. You can still be woken up easily during this stage. For example, if your sister pokes you or you hear a car horn outside, you'll probably wake up.
Stage 3
When you're in this stage, you're in a deeper sleep, also called slow-wave sleep. Your brain sends a message to your blood pressure to get lower. Your body isn't sensitive to the temperature of the air around you, which means that you won't notice if it's a little hot or cold in your room. It's much harder to be awakened when you're in this stage, but some people may sleepwalk or talk in their sleep at this point.
Stage 4
This is the deepest sleep yet and is also considered slow-wave sleep. It's very hard to wake up from this stage of sleep, and if you do wake up, you're sure to be out of it and confused for at least a few minutes. Like they do in stage 3, some people may sleepwalk or talk in their sleep when going from stage 4 to a lighter stage of sleep.
REM
This stands for Rapid Eye Movement. Even though the muscles in the rest of your body are totally relaxed, your eyes move back and forth very quickly beneath your eyelids. The REM stage is when your heart beats faster and your breathing is less regular. This is also the stage when people dream!
While you're asleep, you repeat stages 2, 3, 4, and REM about every 90 minutes until you wake up in the morning. For most kids, that's about four or five times a night. Who said sleep was boring?
Dream a Little Dream
You're walking down the street and you pass a monkey in a green hat eating a donut. Suddenly you're in school - but why does your teacher have such big teeth? And how come you're wearing polka-dot pants?
No, this isn't a scene from a scary movie - it's a dream!
People dream during REM sleep, the period that follows the deepest stage of sleep. Everybody has dreams, although some people have a tough time remembering them. When you wake up can affect whether you can remember your dreams. If you wake up during REM sleep, you might remember everything about your dream. If you wake up during another stage of sleep, you might not remember a thing.
No one knows for sure why people dream. Some scientists think that dreams are your brain's way of making sense of what happened during the day. Others think that dreams allow your brain to sort through the events of the day, storing the important stuff and getting rid of the junk. Some scientists say that dreams are a clue to what you're worried about or thinking about.
How to Catch Your ZZZs
For most kids, sleeping comes pretty naturally. Here are some tips to help you catch all the ZZZs you need:
• Try to go to bed at the same time every night; this helps your body get into a routine.
• Follow a bedtime routine that is calming, such as taking a warm bath or reading.
• Limit foods and drinks that contain caffeine. These include some sodas and other drinks, like ice tea.
• Don't have a TV in your room. Research shows that kids who have one in their rooms sleep less. If you have a TV, turn it off when it's time to sleep.
• Don't watch scary TV shows or movies close to bedtime because these can sometimes make it hard to fall asleep.
• Don't exercise just before going to bed. Do exercise earlier in the day - it helps a person sleep better.
• Use your bed just for sleeping - not doing homework, reading, playing games, or talking on the phone. That way, you'll train your body to associate your bed with sleep.
If you have a hard time falling asleep for more than one or two nights or have worries that are keeping you from sleeping, tell your mom or dad. They can help you solve your sleep problems. In fact, just talking about it with them could help you relax just enough (yawn) that you'll be ready to sleep.

What Is Caffeine?
Caffeine is a drug that is naturally produced in the leaves and seeds of many plants. It's also produced artificially and added to certain foods. Caffeine is defined as a drug because it stimulates the central nervous system, causing increased alertness. Caffeine gives most people a temporary energy boost and elevates mood.
Caffeine is in tea, coffee, chocolate, many soft drinks, and pain relievers and other over-the-counter medications. In its natural form, caffeine tastes very bitter. But most caffeinated drinks have gone through enough processing to camouflage the bitter taste.
Teens usually get most of their caffeine from soft drinks and energy drinks. (In addition to caffeine, these also can have added sugar and artificial flavors.) Caffeine is not stored in the body, but you may feel its effects for up to 6 hours.
Got the Jitters?
Many people feel that caffeine increases their mental alertness. Higher doses of caffeine can cause anxiety, dizziness, headaches, and the jitters. Caffeine can also interfere with normal sleep.
Caffeine sensitivity (the amount of caffeine that will produce an effect in someone) varies from person to person. On average, the smaller the person, the less caffeine needed to produce side effects. Caffeine sensitivity is most affected by the amount of caffeine a person has daily. People who regularly take in a lot of caffeine soon develop less sensitivity to it. This means they may need more caffeine to achieve the same effects.
Caffeine is a diuretic, meaning it causes a person to urinate (pee) more. It's not clear whether this causes dehydration or not. To be safe, it's probably a good idea to stay away from too much caffeine in hot weather, during long workouts, or in other situations where you might sweat a lot.
Caffeine may also cause the body to lose calcium, and that can lead to bone loss over time. Drinking caffeine-containing soft drinks and coffee instead of milk can have an even greater impact on bone density and the risk of developing osteoporosisosteoporosis.
Caffeine can aggravate certain heart problems. It may also interact with some medications or supplements. If you are stressed or anxious, caffeine can make these feelings worse. Although caffeine is sometimes used to treat migraine headaches, it can make headaches worse for some people.
Moderation Is the Key
Caffeine is usually thought to be safe in moderate amounts. Experts consider 200–300 mg of caffeine a day to be a moderate amount for adults. But consuming as little as 100 mg of caffeine a day can lead a person to become "dependent" on caffeine. This means that someone may develop withdrawal symptoms (like tiredness, irritability, and headaches) if he or she quits caffeine suddenly.
Teens should try to limit caffeine consumption to no more than 100 mg of caffeine daily, and kids should get even less. The following chart includes common caffeinated products and the amounts of caffeine they contain:
Drink/Food/Supplement Amt. of Drink/Food Amt. of Caffeine
SoBe No Fear 8 ounces 83 mg

Cutting Back
If you're taking in too much caffeine, you may want to cut back. The best way is to cut back slowly. Otherwise you could get headaches and feel tired, irritable, or just plain lousy.
Try cutting your intake by replacing caffeinated sodas and coffee with noncaffeinated drinks. Examples include water, caffeine-free sodas, and caffeine-free teas. Keep track of how many caffeinated drinks you have each day, and substitute one drink per week with a caffeine-free alternative until you've gotten below the 100-milligram mark.
As you cut back on the amount of caffeine you consume, you may find yourself feeling tired. Your best bet is to hit the sack, not the sodas: It's just your body's way of telling you it needs more rest. Your energy levels will return to normal in a few days.

I got food poisoning last week.I always got this problem. To avoid this problem become dangerous,I need to know to know the symtoms of food poisoning.

Food Poisoning Symptoms

Symptoms of food poisoning depend on the type of contaminant and the amount eaten. The symptoms can develop rapidly, within 30 minutes, or slowly, worsening over days to weeks. Most of the common contaminants cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal cramping. Usually food poisoning is not serious, and the illness runs its course in 24-48 hours.
• Viruses account for most food poisoning cases where a specific contaminant is found.
o Noroviruses are a group of viruses that cause a mild illness (often termed "stomach flu") with nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, headache, and low-grade fever. These symptoms usually resolve in two to three days. It is the most common viral cause of adult food poisoning and is transmitted from water, shellfish, and vegetables contaminated by feces, as well as from person to person. Outbreaks are more common in densely populated areas such as nursing homes, schools and cruise ships (hence why the virus is also known as the "Cruise Ship Illness"). The term norovirus has been approved as the official name for this group of viruses. Several other names have been used for noroviruses, including Norwalk-like viruses, caliciviruses (because they belong to the virus family Caliciviridae), and small round structured viruses.

o Rotavirus: Causes moderate to severe illness with vomiting followed by watery diarrhea and fever. It is the most common cause of food poisoning in infants and children and is transmitted from person to person by fecal contamination of food and shared play areas.

o Hepatitis A: Causes mild illness with sudden onset of fever, loss of appetite, and feeling of tiredness followed by jaundice, which is a yellowing of the eyes and skin. It is transmitted from person to person by fecal contamination of food.

• Bacteria can cause food poisoning in two different ways. Some bacteria infect the intestines, causing inflammation and difficulty absorbing nutrients and water, leading to diarrhea. Other bacteria produce chemicals in foods (known as toxins) that are poisonous to the human digestive system. When eaten, these chemicals can lead to nausea and vomiting, kidney failure, and even death.
o Salmonellae: Salmonellae are bacteria that may cause food poisoning; the illness itself is often referred to as Salmonella or Salmonella infection. Salmonellae cause a moderate illness with nausea, vomiting, crampy diarrhea, and headache, which may come back a few weeks later as arthritis (joint pains). In people with impaired immune systems (such as people with kidney disease or HIV/AIDS or those receiving chemotherapy for cancer), Salmonellae can cause a life-threatening illness. The illness is transmitted by undercooked foods such as eggs, poultry, dairy products, and seafood.

o Campylobacter: Causes mild illness with fever, watery diarrhea, headache, and muscle aches. Campylobacter is the most commonly identified food-borne bacterial infection encountered in the world. It is transmitted by raw poultry, raw milk, and water contaminated by animal feces.

o Staphylococcus aureus: Causes moderate to severe illness with rapid onset of nausea, severe vomiting, dizziness, and abdominal cramping. These bacteria produce a toxin in foods such as cream-filled cakes and pies, salads (most at risk are potato, macaroni, egg, and tuna salads, for example) and dairy products. Contaminated salads at picnics are common if the food is not chilled properly.

o Bacillus cereus: Causes mild illness with rapid onset of vomiting, with or without diarrhea and abdominal cramping. It is associated with rice (mainly fried rice) and other starchy foods such as pasta or potatoes. It has been speculated that this bacteria may also be used as a potential terrorist weapon.

o Escherichia coli (E coli): Causes moderate to severe illness that begins as large amounts of watery diarrhea, which then turns into bloody diarrhea. There are many different types of this bacteria. The worst strain can cause kidney failure and death (about 3%-5% of all cases). It is transmitted by eating raw or undercooked hamburger, unpasteurized milk or juices, or contaminated well water. Outbreaks of food poisoning due to E. coli have also occurred following ingestion of contaminated produce.

o Shigella (traveler’s diarrhea): Causes moderate to severe illness with fever, diarrhea containing blood or mucus or both, and the constant urge to have bowel movements. It is transmitted in water polluted with human wastes.

o Clostridium botulinum (botulism): Causes severe illness affecting the nervous system. Symptoms start as blurred vision. The person then develops problems talking and overall weakness. Symptoms then progress to breathing difficulty and the inability to move arms or legs. Infants and young children are particularly at risk. It is transmitted in foods such as home-packed canned goods, honey, sausages, and seafood.
Because botulism can be released in the air, it is considered a potential biological weapon for terrorists.
o Vibrio cholerae: Causes mild to moderate illness with crampy diarrhea, headache, nausea, vomiting, and fever with chills. It strikes mostly in the warmer months of the year and is transmitted by infected, undercooked, or raw seafood.

• Parasites rarely cause food poisoning. When they do, they are usually swallowed in contaminated or untreated water and cause long-lasting but mild symptoms.
o Giardia (beaver fever): Causes mild illness with watery diarrhea often lasting one to two weeks. It is transmitted by drinking contaminated water, often from lakes or streams in cooler mountainous climates.
The infection can also be spread from person to person by food or other items contaminated with feces from an infected person.
o Cryptosporidium: Causes moderate illness with large amounts of watery diarrhea lasting two to four days. May become a long-lasting problem in people with poor immune systems (such as people with kidney disease or HIV/AIDS or those on chemotherapy for cancer). It is transmitted by contaminated drinking water.

• Toxic agents are the least common cause of food poisoning. Illness is often an isolated episode caused by poor food preparation or selection (such as picking wild mushrooms).
o Mushroom toxins: Illness can range from mild to deadly depending on the type of mushroom eaten. Often there is nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. Some types of mushrooms produce a nerve toxin, which causes sweating, shaking, hallucinations, and coma.

o Ciguatera poisoning: Caused by eating fish that contains toxins produced by a marine algae called Gambierdiscus toxicus. It can cause moderate to severe illness with numbness of the area around the mouth and lips that can spread to the arms and legs, nausea, vomiting, muscle pain and weakness, headache, dizziness, and rapid heartbeat. The toxin may cause sensory problems in which hot things feel cold and cold things feel hot. It is transmitted by eating certain large game fish from tropical waters-most specifically barracuda, grouper, snapper, and jacks. According to the CDC, ciguatera has no cure. Symptoms may disappear in days or weeks, but may persist for years.

o Scombroid: Causes mild to moderate illness with facial flushing, burning around the mouth and lips, peppery-taste sensations, a red rash on the upper body, dizziness, headache, and itchy skin. Severe symptoms may include blurry vision, respiratory distress, and swelling of the tongue and mouth. Symptoms typically last from four to six hours, and rarely more than one or two days. It is transmitted in seafood, mostly mahi-mahi and tuna, but can also be in Swiss cheese.

o Pesticides: Cause mild to severe illness with weakness, blurred vision, headache, cramps, diarrhea, increased production of saliva, and shaking of the arms and legs. Toxins are transmitted by eating unwashed fruits or vegetables contaminated with pesticides.

I love teddy bear very much.that is why I want to share with you all about teddy bear. This is the history of teddy bear.

Today we can hardly imagine a world without that eager listener, confidante, and loyal friend, the teddy bear. But the teddy bear has not always been with us. In fact, the teddy bear did not make its entrance until late in 1902. Then, in one of life's unexplainable synchronicities, the teddy bear appeared in the same year in two different parts of the world: Germany and the United States.
The Early Years

In America, the teddy bear, according to tradition, got its start with a cartoon. The cartoon, drawn by Clifford Berryman and titled "Drawing the Line in Mississippi," showed President Theodore Roosevelt refusing to shoot a baby bear. According to this often told tale, Roosevelt had traveled to Mississippi to help settle a border dispute between that state and Louisiana, and his hosts, wanting to please this avid hunter, took him bear hunting. The hunting was so poor that someone finally captured a bear and invited Roosevelt to shoot. Roosevelt's refusal to fire at such a helpless target inspired Berryman to draw his cartoon with its play on the two ways Roosevelt was drawing a line—settling a border dispute and refusing to shoot a captive animal.

The cartoon appeared in a panel of cartoons drawn by Cliffored Berryman in The Washington Post on November 16, 1902. It caused an immediate sensation and was reprinted widely. Apparently this cartoon even inspired Morris and Rose Michtom of Brooklyn, New York, to make a bear in honor of the president's actions. The Michtoms named their bear "Teddy's Bear" and placed it in the window of their candy and stationery store. Instead of looking fierce and standing on all four paws like previous toy bears, the Michtoms' bear looked sweet, innocent, and upright, like the bear in Berryman's cartoon. Perhaps that's why "Teddy's Bear" made a hit with the buying public. In fact, the demand was so strong that the Michtoms, with the help of a wholesale firm called Butler Brothers, founded the first teddy bear manufacturer in the United States, the Ideal Novelty and Toy Company.
Meanwhile, across the ocean in Germany, Richard Steiff was working for his aunt, Margarete Steiff, in her stuffed toy business. Richard, a former art student, often visited the Stuttgart Zoo to sketch animals, particularly the bear cubs. In 1902, the same year the Michtoms made "Teddy's Bear," the Steiff firm made a prototype of a toy bear based on Richard's designs.

Though both the Michtoms and Steiff were working on bears at the same time, certainly neither knew, at a time of poor transatlantic communication, about the other's creation. Besides, the Michtoms' bear resembled the wide-eyed cub in the Berryman cartoon, while the Steiff bear, with its humped back and long snout, looked more like a real bear cub.

A few months later, in March 1903, at the Leipzig Toy Fair, Steiff introduced its first bear—Baer 55PB. The European buyers showed little interest, but an American toy buyer, who was aware of the growing interest in "Teddy's bears" in the States, ordered 3000. In America, people were beginning to get teddy bear fever, and Steiff was in the right place at the right time.
The Teddy Bear Craze

By 1906, the teddy bear craze was in full swing in the United States. The excitement probably compared to the frenzy for Cabbage Patch dolls in the 1980s and Beanie Babies in the 1990s. Society ladies carried their teddies everywhere, and children had their pictures taken with their teddy bears. President Roosevelt, after using a bear as a mascot in his re-election bid, was serving his second term. Seymour Eaton, an educator and a newspaper columnist, was writing a series of children's books about the adventures of The Roosevelt Bears, and another American, composer J.K. Bratton, wrote "The Teddy Bear Two Step." That song would become, with the addition of words, "The Teddy Bear's Picnic."

Meanwhile, American manufacturers were turning out bears in all colors and all kinds, from teddy bears on roller skates to teddy bears with electric eyes. "Teddy bear," without the apostrophe and the s, became the accepted term for this plush bruin, first appearing in print in the October 1906 issue of Playthings Magazine. Even Steiff, a German company, adopted the name for its bears.

Steiff and Ideal were no longer the only players in the teddy bear business. In America, dozens of competitors sprang up. Almost all of these very early companies didn't last, with the notable exception of the Gund Manufacturing Corporation. Gund made its first bears in 1906 and is still making bears today.

American teddy bear companies faced stiff competition from all the teddy bears imported from Germany, and many of the U.S. companies didn't last long. In Germany, toymaking was an old and established industry, and many German firms, such as Bing, Schuco, and Hermann, joined with Steiff in making fine teddy bears.

In England, The J.K. Farnell & Co. got its start; in fact, the original Winnie the Pooh was a Farnell bear Christopher Robin Milne received as a first birthday present from his mother in 1921. Five years later, his father, A.A. Milne, would begin to publish the Winnie-the-Pooh books about his son Christopher's adventures with his bear and his other stuffed animals. Today you can see the original toys that inspired the Winnie-the-Pooh books on permanent display in the Central Children's Room of the Donnell Branch of the New York Public Library in New York City, while the Pooh books themselves are as popular as ever.
More Great Years: The 1920s - 1940s

With the exception of the four years when World War I raged in Europe, the next 25 years were kind to the teddy bear. Mass production had not yet taken over the teddy bear world, and people still preferred to buy high quality, hand-finished teddy bears.

Because World War I interrupted the flow of teddy bears from Germany, new teddy bear industries developed outside Germany. Chad Valley, Chiltern, and Dean's joined Farnell in England; Pintel and Fadap were begun in France, and Joy Toys in Australia. The bears themselves changed, too. Boot-button eyes were replaced by glass, and excelsior stuffing was replaced by a softer alternative, kapok.

The United States was relatively untouched by the war, and its teddy bear industry continued to grow. For example, the Knickerbocker Toy Company got its start in 1920 and continues to make teddy bears today. Nine years later, though, the U.S. was hit by the Depression, and most teddy bear companies were hurt by the financial crisis. After 1929, many American companies either found cheaper ways to produce bears, or they closed.
In the 1920s and 30s, musical bears and mechanical bears were very popular, and they were produced all over the world. Perhaps the most noteworthy manufacturers of these novelty bears were Schuco and Bing. These two German companies made bears that walked, danced, played ball, and even turned somersaults.

But the outbreak of World War II in 1939 stopped the fun. Instead of making teddy bears, the world's workers and factories were needed for the war effort. Some companies closed and never reopened.
The Lean Years: The 1950s - 1970s

While traditional teddy bear companies had always prided themselves on quality hand-finishing and had always used natural fibers to make their bears, all that changed after World War II. Fueled by a desire for washable toys, synthetic fibers were all the rage in the post-War years. Buyers liked the idea of washable toys, so bears were made from nylon or acrylic plush, and had plastic eyes and foam rubber stuffing.

While traditional teddy bear companies could adapt to this change in materials, they were not prepared to compete against the flood of much cheaper, mass-produced teddy bears coming from eastern Asia. Even the old, well-established companies were hurt by the onslaught of inexpensive teddy bears from the Far East.
The Teddy Bear's Comeback: The Present

Strangely enough, the comeback of the teddy after years of mass-production was triggered, not by a bear maker, but by an actor. On television, British actor Peter Bull openly expressed his love for teddy bears and his belief in the teddy bear's importance in the emotional life of adults. After receiving 2000 letters in response to his public confession, Peter realized he wasn't alone. In 1969, inspired by this response, he wrote a book about his lifelong affection for teddy bears, Bear with Me, later called The Teddy Bear Book. His book struck an emotional chord in thousands who also believed in the importance of teddy bears. Without intending to, Bull created an ideal climate for the teddy bear's resurgence. The teddy bear began to regain its popularity, not so much as a children's toy, but as a collectible for adults.
In 1974, Beverly Port, an American dollmaker who also loved making teddy bears, dared to take a teddy bear she made to a doll show. At the show, she presented Theodore B. Bear holding the hand of one of her dolls. The next year, Beverly presented a slide show she had created about teddy bears for the United Federation of Doll Clubs. That show quickly became a sensation. Other people, first in the United States and then all over world, caught Beverly's affection for the teddy bear. They, too, began applying their talents to designing and making teddy bears. One by one, and by hand, teddy bear artistry was born with Beverly, who coined the term "teddy bear artist," often cited as the mother of teddy bear artistry. Today thousands of teddy bears artists, often working from their homes all over the world, create soft sculpture teddy bear art for eager collectors.

Artist bears also set the stage for a new kind of manufactured bear, the artist-designed manufactured bear. Today artist-designed manufactured bears are offered by Ganz, Gund, Dean's, Knickerbocker, Grisly Spielwaren, and others; all offer collectors the opportunity to own artist-designed bears that cost less due to mass production. This increased appreciation for the teddy bear as an adult collectible has also increased the value of antique teddy bears, the hand-finished, high-quality teddy bears manufactured in the first decades of the 20th century. In the 1970s and 1980s, these old, manufactured teddy bears began showing up in antique doll and toy auctions, and they began winning higher and higher bids. Today the current record price for one teddy bear, Teddy Girl by Steiff, is $176,000; that bear was sold at Christie's auction house in 1994.

So what's next for the teddy bear? Certainly our love affair with the teddy bear shows no signs of abating.

In 1999, in just the United States, collectors purchased $441 million worth of teddy bears. Certainly, as we begin our journey through a new century, we certainly need the teddy bear's gift of uncondtional acceptance, love, and reassurance more than ever.

EIFFEL TOWER
Why the
Eiffel Tower
is special
The Eiffel Tower is the icon of Paris and France - and one of the most recognizable structures on earth.
Origin
The Eiffel Tower was built in 1889 for an international exhibition in Paris, France and named for its builder, Gustave Eiffel.
Not everyone liked it.
Some people back then thought it was hedious. One sarcastic critic famously said he liked being on the Eiffel Tower because "it's the only place in Paris where I cannot see it".
Today
Times have changed. Almost all Parisian citizens today love it.
Once the world's tallest
The Eiffel Tower instantly became the world's tallest man-made structure. It broke the record held for over 4400 years by the Khufu Pyramid in Egypt (only to lose it 41 years later to the Chrysler Building in Manhattan).
Almost razed
The monument came close to being razed in 1909 when its city permit expired. It was saved because the radio antennae on top of the structure was deemed essential.
Lookout platforms
The structure has three observation levels (see photo). Their heights (relative to modern office buildings) are 17 stories for the first, 37 stories for the second, and 75 stories for the third level.
Unobscured views
Obviously, the higher the observation level, the more breathtaking the view. However, even the first level of the Eiffel Tower offers a remarkable 360-degree view because - with few exceptions - the buildings in Paris must not exceed 20 meters (66 feet) in height.
You can reach the first and second observation level by stairs or elevator. The third level is accessible only by elevator.
Tourist magnet
The Eiffel Tower is an immensely popular tourist destination. Last year, over 6 million people visited it. Since 1889, over 230 million people have done so.
Waiting lines
Elevator wait lines (especially for the third level) can be excruciatingly long during the summer tourist season. Be the first in line when the gates open in the morning or arrive after 6 pm. It also helps to avoid weekends.
Photographing the Eiffel Tower
The best photo location for a full-view shot of the Eiffel Tower is from the Place du Trocadero terrace across the Seine River.

AMAZON RAINFOREST
The Amazon rainforest is immense (it's larger than Europe). The 6280 kilometer (3900 mile) long Amazon River is fed by a thousand rivers - some over 1600 kilometers (1000 miles) long.
Geography
Broadly defined, the Amazon Rainforest extends into nine South American countries. Nearly two-thirds lies in Brazil. Peru is the runner-up.
Getting there
The Amazon's two major gateway airports are in Manaus (Brazil) and Iquitos (Peru).
Cruising down the Amazon
Although it is a popular childhood dream, in reality the view from the deck of a passenger ship soon becomes monotonous. You get a bored dèjá vu feeling as the river and its banks remain virtually unchanged for days on end. And, the dense riverside greenery hides nearly all the wildlife you came to see.
The better
Amazon cruises
They explore the Amazon tributaries and offers interesting land excursions.
Amazon rainforest lodges
An alternative to cruising is staying in one of the lodges along the small Amazon tributary streams. They range in quality from budget to luxury. Use the lodge as a base to explore nature up close along jungle trails and narrow waterways.
Amazon Rainforest
is vital to life
The Amazon Rainforest produces 20% of the earth's oxygen (and is the source of 20% of our planet's fresh water).
Medicine
A large number of medicines we take for granted come from Amazon plants. And, because so many of the plant species have not yet been analyzed, we should see new drug discoveries.
Amazon Rainforest survival
About 14% of the world's land was once rainforest. Today it is down to 6%. Greenpeace, an environmental organization, warns that if deforestation continues at the present clip, the Amazon Rainforest will be history in 80 years. Some scientists predict an even earlier demise.
Biologically
rich environment
More than a million colorful plant, animal and insect species inhabit the Amazon Rainforest.
Amazon rainforest flora & fauna.
Although the Amazon rainforest looks like other rainforests to the amateur eye, nearly all its plants and animals are unique.
Nutrient recycling
The Amazon ground must be nutrient rich because it fosters profuse plant growth. Right? Wrong. The soil is nutrient poor. The rain forest survives because it quickly recycles its limited nutrient sources.
Water recycling
The Amazon also rapidly recycles its water. When it rains, the trees absorb the water, then let it evaporate, which creates clouds, which generate rain. Half that rain falls on the rain forest. The water shortcoming is made up by westbound clouds from the Atlantic Ocean.
Rainfall
Average annual rainfall approaches 3 meters (10 feet). Some areas can experience twice that amount.
The canopy
High trees create what is called the canopy, a dense umbrella of leaves. Little reaches the ground plants. To survive, they have developed broad leaves to capture as many defused sun rays as possible.

I certainly love Indian food. Especially my mother's cooking. The feel eating at home is really cannot be get at anywhere else in the world especially when eating mother's cooking. I miss my mom and even more her cooking. Nothing is more delicious than that. Even KFC, McD or Pizza can't beat it. Now would like to tell you a little bit about Indian cuisine.
The cuisine of India is characterized by its sophisticated and subtle use of many spices and herbs grown across India and also for the widespread practice of vegetarianism across its society. Considered by some to be one of the world's most diverse cuisines, each family of this cuisine is characterized by a wide assortment of dishes and cooking techniques. As a consequence, Indian cuisine varies from region to region, reflecting the varied demographics of the ethnically diverse Indian subcontinent. India's religious beliefs and culture has played an influential role in the evolution of its cuisine. However, cuisine across India also evolved due to the subcontinent's large-scale cultural interactions with neighboring Persia, ancient Greece, Mongols and West Asia, making it a unique blend of various cuisines across Asia. The colonial period introduced European cooking styles to India adding to its flexibility and diversity. Indian cuisine has also influenced cuisines across the world, especially those from South East Asia.
As a land that has experienced extensive immigration and intermingling through many millennia, India's cuisine has benefited from numerous food influences. The diverse climate in the region, ranging from deep tropical to alpine, has also helped considerably broaden the set of ingredients readily available to the many schools of cookery in India. In many cases, food has become a marker of religious and social identity, with varying taboos and preferences (for instance, a segment of the Jain population consume no roots or subterranean vegetable; see Jain vegetarianism) which has also driven these groups to innovate extensively with the food sources that are deemed acceptable.
Wowwwwwwwwwwwwwww....... wanted so much to get back to home and eat mom's cooking. Waiting for this semester to finish.... Mom, I'm coming...

12 inch kid
Dallas as the doctor walked into the small hospital room of Diana Blessing. She was still groggy from surgery.
Her husband, David, held her hand as they braced themselves for the latest news. That afternoon of March 10, 1991 , complications had forced Diana,
only 24-weeks pregnant, to undergo an emergency Cesarean to deliver couple's new daughter, Dana Lu Blessing.
At 12 inches long and weighing only one pound nine ounces, they already knew she was perilously premature.Still, the doctor's soft words dropped like bombs."I don't think she's going to make it," he said, as kindly as he could.
"There's only a 10-percent chance she will live through the night, and even then, if by some slim chance she does make it, her future could be a very cruel one"
Numb with disbelief, David and Diana listened as the doctor described the devastating problems Dana would likely face if she survived.
She would never walk, she would never talk, she would probably be blind, and she would certainly be prone to other catastrophic conditions from cerebral palsy to complete mental retardation, and on and on."No! No!" was all Diana could say.
She and David, with their 5-year-old son Dustin, had long dreamed of the day they would have a daughter to become a family of four.
Now, within a matter of hours, that dream was slipping away. But as those first days passed, a new agony set in for David and Diana. Because Dana's underdeveloped nervous system was essentially 'raw', the lightest kiss or caress only intensified her discomfort, so they couldn't even cradle their tiny baby girl against their chests to offer the strength of their love. All they could do, as Dana struggled alone beneath the ultraviolet light in the tangle of tubes and wires, was to pray that God would stay close to their precious little girl.
There was never a moment when Dana suddenly grew stronger. But as the weeks went by, she did slowly gain an ounce of weight here and an ounce of strength there. At last, when Dana turned two months old, her parents were able to hold her in their arms for the very first time. And two months later, though doctors continued to gently but grimly warn that her chances of surviving, much less living any kind of normal life, were next to zero, Dana went home from the hospital, just as her mother had predicted.
Five years later, when Dana was a petite but feisty young girl with glittering gray eyes and an unquenchable zest for life. She showed no signs whatsoever of any mental or physical impairment. Simply, she was everything a little girl can be and more.
But that happy ending is far from the end of her story. One blistering afternoon in the summer of 1996 near her home in Irving , Texas , Dana was sitting in her mother's lap in the bleachers of a local ball park where her brother Dustin's baseball team was practicing. As always, Dana was chattering nonstop with her mother and several other adults sitting nearby when she suddenly fell silent. Hugging her arms cross her chest, little Dana asked, "Do you smell that?" Smelling the air and detecting the approach of a thunderstorm, Diana replied, "Yes, it smells like rain."Dana closed her eyes and again asked, "Do you smell that?" Once again, her mother replied, "Yes, I think we're about to get wet. It smells like rain."
Still caught in the moment, Dana shook her head, patted her thin shoulders with her small hands and loudly announced, "No, it smells like Him.It smells like God when you lay your head on His chest."Tears blurred Diana's eyes as Dana happily hopped down to play with the other children. Before the rains same, her daughter's words confirmed what Diana and all the members of the extended Blessing family had known, at least in their hearts, all along.During those long days and nights of her first two months of her life, when her nerves were too sensitive for them to touch her, God was holding Dana on His chest and it is His loving scent that she remembers so well.

Some of many things that I love about this honourable man is :
- Gandhi practiced non-violence and truth in all situations, and advocated that others do the same.
- He lived modestly in a self-sufficient residential community and wore the traditional Indian dhoti and shawl, woven with yarn he had hand spun on a charkha.
- He ate simple vegetarian food, and also undertook long fasts as means of both self-purification and social protest.
I am really proud to have MAHATMA GANDHI as my lifetime legend.

Tom Cruise
Hi to all... Hope you all are having a nice day...
Hmmmmm... What will firstly strike your mind when you heard about 'Mission Impossible'? Obviously it will be Tom Cruise. Yup.. Today I would like very much to write about Tom Cruise, the popular Hollywood actor.
I liked the movie 'Mission Impossible' very much, then only I started to become a fan of Tom Cruise.

As I searched about him, he had a nightmare of his childhood. Cruise has said that he suffered from abuse as a child. This was partially due to his suffering from dyslexia. Having gone through fifteen schools in twelve years, Cruise, who dropped his father's name at age twelve, was also a victim of bullying at school.
But now, seeing his success and popularity, I really salute him for getting out from his past and become a successful man in this world.

Cruise's first film role came in 1981, when he had a small role in Endless Love, a drama/romance film.
In 2000, Cruise returned as Ethan Hunt in the second installment of the Mission Impossible films, releasing Mission: Impossible II. The film was directed by Hong Kong director John Woo and branded with his Gun fu Style, and it continued the series' blockbuster success at the box office, taking in almost US$546 M in worldwide figures, like its predecessor, being the third highest grossing film of the year.

Cruise was married to Mimi Rogers on May 9, 1987; they divorced on February 4, 1990. Rogers is generally believed to have introduced Cruise to Scientology.

Cruise met Nicole Kidman on the set of their film Days of Thunder. The couple married on December 24, 1990 and divorced on August 8, 2001. He and Kidman adopted two children, Isabella Jane (b. December 22, 1992) and Connor Antony (b. January 17, 1995). They separated when Kidman was three months pregnant, just before their tenth wedding anniversary; she later miscarried.

Cruise was next romantically linked with Penélope Cruz, the lead actress in his film Vanilla Sky. After a three-year relationship, in March 2004, Cruise announced that their relationship had ended in January.

In April 2005, Cruise began dating actress Katie Holmes. Shortly after they began their highly publicized relationship, on June 17, 2005, Cruise announced he had proposed to her at the top of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. She accepted his proposal, and the couple married in Bracciano, Italy on November 18, 2006.

On April 18, 2006 Katie gave birth to a baby girl named Suri at Saint John's Health Center in Santa Monica, California. Cruise stated that the name derives from the Hebrew word for "princess" or the Persian word meaning red rose. She is the first child for Holmes and third for Cruise, who has two adopted children with Nicole Kidman.

Hehe... I hope he finally met his soulmate and won't change his spouse again(juast a joke)...
That's all from me now...
BUbye guys...

Mother Teresa
Hi again all... Now wanted to talk again about another popular human being who is a nobel prize winner winner, Mother Teresa.

Saint Mother Teresa is perhaps the greatest human being who has ever lived in this world. She was beatified by Pope John Paul II in October 2003. She had only one aim in life, to serve the poor, the destitute, the needy and all those who were dejected by the society. Mother Theresa founded an institution, known as 'The Missionary of Charity' to help her in fulfilling this aim.

As per her life history, Mother Teressa was born as Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu on 26th August 1910. At the young age of twelve, Agnes started to feel disinterest in the worldly affairs. By the age of eighteen, she was determined to become a nun and left her home to join the Convent of Our Lady of Loreto in Dublin. She undertook the name Teresa in the year 1931 and at the same time, she took her vows.

Mother Theresa came to Calcutta (now Kolkata) in the year 1937 and joined St. Mary's High School. It was here that she fully comprehended her true calling in life, which was to serve the needy and rejected people of the society.

To help her in attaining her goal in life, Mother Theresa wanted to start a diocesan congregation. However, for this she required the permission of the Vatican. The permission came in 1950 and thus was born 'The Missionary of Charity'. In 1965, Mother Teresa was awarded a Decree of Praise by Pope Paul VI and with this, she received the permission to expand her order to other countries. Toda, the Missionaries of Charity boasts of 4,000 nuns and branches in 133 countries of the world.

Michael Owen
Hey guys and girls... Now there is another celebrity who is a bit out of scandals, Michael Owen, striker of England football team. I am not so much into footballs. But, I do watch football worldcup. Then only I noticed that there is a handsome guy playing football awesomely. Not to say because he is handsome, but he is really a very talented football player.
Michael James Owen (born 14 December 1979) is an English football forward who currently plays for and captains English Premier League club Newcastle United. He is currently the fourth-highest scorer for the England national team with forty goals.
The son of former footballer Terry Owen, he progressed through the Liverpool youth team and scored on his debut in May 1997. In his first full season in the Premier League he finished as joint top scorer. He repeated the feat the following year and was Liverpool's top goal scorer from 1997–2004, in spite of a recurring hamstring injury. His first major club honours came in 2001 when Liverpool won a cup treble of the UEFA Cup, FA Cup and Football League Cup, and Owen was the recipient of the Ballon d'Or that year.
Owen moved to Real Madrid for £8 million in mid-2004 but was frequently used as a substitute. In spite of this, he scored 13 goals in La Liga and had the season's highest ratio of goals scored to number of minutes played. He returned to England the following season, joining Newcastle United for £16 million. He had a promising start to the 2005–06 season but injuries largely ruled him out over the next 18 months. After his return he became team captain and was the team's top scorer for the 2007–08 season.
Internationally, Owen first played for the senior England team in 1998, becoming England's youngest player and youngest goalscorer at the time. His performance at the 1998 World Cup brought him to national and international prominence and he went on to appear, and score, in Euro 2000, the 2002 World Cup and Euro 2004. He is the only player to ever have scored in four major tournaments for England. He played at the 2006 World Cup but suffered an injury which took him a year to recover from. Occasionally playing as captain, he is England's seventh most-capped player and has scored a national record of 26 competitive goals.
Owen met English-born Louise Bonsall at primary school in 1984.[66] The couple bought Lower Soughton Manor in Flintshire, North Wales where Owen keeps his cars and Louise keeps her horses. They got engaged on 14 February 2004, and married on 24 June 2005[67], at the Carden Park Hotel in Chester, Cheshire. On 1 May 2003 their daughter, Gemma Rose, was born. On 6 February 2006, they welcomed a son named James Michael. Their third child, a daughter, Emily May, was born 29 October 2007.
Hopefully, Owen will achieve more success in his life and live a happy life with his lovely family.
Salute to him also for being such an entertainer for football fans and also for having such an incredible talent in playing football.

4 LIFE-SAVING NUMBERS..
Women with heart disease can reverse the condition if they get a few key measurements in check. Aim for these benchmarks:

-CHOLESTEROL HDL is key.Strive for over 40 mg/dL (the higher, the better).LDL is less important, but ideally, you should get it under 100 mg/dL

-BLOOD SUGAR get it under 100 mg/dL.If you can't maintain it,you likely have an element of diabetes

-BLOOD PRESSURE it's a major driver of heart disease risk, and lower is better.Get yours under 115/75 mm/Hg

-WAIST SIZE, measured at the level of your belly button, it should be half your height (that's 84cm if you're 168cm) or less..

enjoy it!!!

SIMPLE WAY TO EASE NECK PAIN...
Doing your own physical theraphy can help ease neck pain.Bend at the hips, allowing your arms ta dangle towards your feet and your head to hang without tension. As you breathe slowly in and out, gently swing your head from side to side to loosen the neck. You'll become aware of the joy that lengthening these muscles can offer.Bend your knees as you slowly come back to a standing position.Of course, see your doctor first to rule out causes uch as trauma, infection and cancer, all of which may require specific treatments...

Do you know the advantages of Iron?Do you know the function of Iron?I want to share a little bit information about Iron..

Iron is vital in the transportation of oxygen to the cells and tissues of the body. Before pregnancy, women should consume adequate iron, and even during pregnancy, because iron is depleted at this stage and may cause iron-deficiency anemia in mothers.
Heme-iron, the highly absorbable form of the nutrient found in animal foods should be consumed by pregnant women in ample amounts. They should also consider having iron-rich plant foods and iron-fortified foods in their diet. This, however, should be accompanied with Vitamin C because this nutrient helps in the absorption of heme-iron. For women ages 19-50, they should consume about 18 milligrams of iron daily, while pregnant women should get 27 milligrams a day.

Here are some sources of heme-iron:

*beef (cooked) - 3 ounces = 3 milligrams
*turkey (cooked) - 3 ounces = 2 milligrams
light chicken meat (cooked) - 3 *ounces = 1 milligram

Sources of non-heme iron:

*whole grain total cereal - ¾ cup = 22 milligrams
*fortified instant oatmeal - 1 cup = 10 milligrams
*soybeans (cooked) - 1 cup = 8 milligrams
*kidney beans (boiled) - 1 cup = 5 milligrams

"Well, why don't you nibble on some of my

The turkey pecked at a lump of dung, and found it
actually gave him enough strength to reach the
lowest branch of the tree. The next day, after
eating some more dung, he reached the second branch.
Finally after a fourth night, the turkey was proudly
perched at the top of the tree. He was promptly

1816 - The Year without a Summer

The period 1812-1817 was one of exceptional volcanic activity, and the sheer volume of volcanic dust pumped into the atmosphere by these volcanic eruptions caused a general, temporary cooling in the earth’s climate around this time.
This temporary climatic cooling peaked during the summer of 1816 was the peak of this cooling and the reason the peak fell in the summer of 1816 is almost certainly die to the eruption of the Tamboro volcano east of Java in April 1815 (believed to be one of the most explosive eruptions of the last 10,000 years). At the time sunspots were blamed for the unseasonable weather (Laskin 1996). Anyway, this eruption put more than 150 million tonnes of dust in the atmosphere which gradually spread around the globe acting as a veil reflecting incoming solar radiation back into space and cooling the earth (temporarily) which in turn caused a change in the world’s, and in particular the northern hemisphere’s, weather patterns. Some dust from volcanic eruptions in the West Indies in 1812 and Philippines in 1814 was also probably still the atmosphere (Lamb 1995) and this will have helped the global cooling process too.
So if Tamboro erupted in 1815 why wasn’t the summer of 1815 rather than the summer of 1816 the year without a summer? Well, the answer is that there is a time lag between a volcanic eruption and a change in weather patterns caused by the length of time needed for stratospheric winds to distribute the volcanic dust particles around the world.
It should at this stage be pointed out that not all volcanic eruptions affect the climate - whether an eruption will affect the climate or not depends on how powerful the eruption is and what part of the atmosphere the dust from the eruption reaches. When volcanoes erupt lots of gas and dust is injected into the atmosphere. Depending on how the volcano erupts (eg vertically or horizontally) and where the volcano is a large eruption can have a cooling effect on the atmosphere which can last for 1-3 years or so. The dust and gases need to reach the Stratosphere (more than 10km above sea level) where winds at that level in the atmosphere can blow the dust and gas around the world. The dust and gas then reflect energy from the sun which would otherwise reach the earth back into space this cooling the earth and altering its weather patterns. This sort of thing has happened from time to time through the earth’s history and most recently in the early 1990’s when the eruption of Mount Pinatubo in the Philippines in 1991 cooled global temperatures in 1992 by around half a degree.

• 2 reasons for the failure of leadership:
1. view leadership as behavior rather than action; psychological rather than spiritual; persons rather than ideas.
2. trying to understand what is driving leadership, have overemphasized bureaucratic, psychological, and technical- rational authority, seriously neglecting professional and moral authority.

Good day everyone. In this part I would like to share my opinion about whether commercialization of sports is essential. In my opinion commercialization of sport is bad for the sports. This is bad because sportsmen and sportswomen tend to shift teams in pursuit of a higher salary. If they are well commercialized, they abuse the sports by not competing for reasons such as ‘injuries’ because they are still being paid large amount of salary. Other than that, sports that are not well commercialized tend to take dirty methods to compete with the popular sports. An example is boxing whereby aged fighters are mismatched against younger opponents. Other than that, it is not justified for these sportsmen and sportswomen to earn the salaries that they have. For example Michael Jordan earns about $80 million per annum whereby teachers and nurses are paid be barely enough to make a living. Therefore in my opinion, I feel that there is no necessity for sports commercialization. Thank you for reading my comment.

Good day everyone. Recently I watched a movie titled Yes Man. From the movie I learned many things. Although it a funny movie that does kept me laughing through out the two and half hours I found an important message from that movie that is saying yes builds a positive energy in ourselves. By being positive, thinking positive, talking positive, we tend to create positive energy and positive aura in ourselves. Therefore the things that we want to do will be a success. Therefore by being positive we can achieve our goals and needs in life. Try being negative. Everything that we want to achieve will turn out to be hard and impossible but by being positive everything seems to be easy and possible. In conclusion , being positive can really change the way we live and our achievements. Thank you for reading my comment.

Good day everyone. As university students we often get stressed up easily especially during the exam time, when we have a lot of assignments and projects to complete. I would like to share on four methods that I normally use when I am stressed up. Firstly I like taking long walks. When I take a walk I observe my surroundings and take many deep breaths. After that I feel much better. The second method I use is I normally read jokes on the Internet and get a good laugh. I laugh as loud as possible and I find my stress melting away. The third method I use is by crying. Crying proves to work and I’ve read once that “There’s nothing a good cry can’t solve’. I release all my emotions and after a nap after crying I feel much better. The fourth method I use is by drinking Jasmine Green Tea. I found this method in a magazine. By drinking this tea, it relieves stress because Jasmine fragrance helps soothe emotions and green tea which is rich in antioxidants helps the body to cope with stress. Therefore use these methods and I am sure it will be a great help to relief stress. Thank you for reading my comment.

Good day everyone. It is very common that we see people using contact lenses nowadays. Students normally use contact lenses because it is convenient than spectacles. I did some reading on contact lenses because I want to buy one too and realized that there are many infections can be caused by contact lenses such as fungal corneal infections. If it is not treated then it can also cause blindness. These problems are caused by improper contact lens care. I read some tips on proper care of these lenses. Firstly a disposable lens should be thrown after the certain period and it should not be over worn. Next, we should wash our hands before handling the lens and most importantly we should not sleep or swim while using lenses. The lens case too should be changed every three months and the moment we experience blurred vision or redness in our eyes we should immediately stop using contact lenses and consult our lens care practitioner. Therefore I would advise people using contact lenses to be aware of these problems and always be precaution while using them. Thank you for reading my comment.

Good day everyone. Often we face some health disorders in our life but we neglect it due to circumstances. But sometimes these disorders can cause us death. Let me share with you some of the health tips that I read from Reader’s Digest edition June 2007. The most pain that we neglect our headache. If we face a terrible headache do consult the doctor immediately because we can be suffering from LETHAL BRAIN ANEURYSM whereby it’s an abnormal widening or bulging of a blood vessel and the severe pain is caused when the blood vessel ruptures and blood enters the brain. Aneurysm can occur as a birth defect and develop later in life. If treated immediately after getting the headache or in time it can be cured but if it is left and neglected then it can be fatal. The next thing that we neglect the most is flu. If flu lasts more than three to four days then we need to consult a doctor because continuous flu is a symptom of lung cancer. Finally I would like to address about back pain and joint pain. There are many disorders that are shown by back pain and joint pain. It can be a symptom of prostate cancer and other abdominal problems because prostate, pancreatic cancers and kidney stones can create back pains as well with sharp knife like sensation in the middle or lower back. Back pain can also be a symptom of bone cancer. Pains that are caused by bone cancers as well as other cancers which spread targets the spine and rib cage and causes back pain. Therefore we should not neglect any pain in our body because it can be fatal. Thank you for reading my comment.

Good day everyone. I want to share a poem that I found on the Internet about mother’s love.
Mom, you're a wonderful mother,
So gentle, yet so strong.
The many ways you show you care
Always make me feel I belong.
You're patient when I'm foolish;
You give guidance when I ask;
It seems you can do most anything;
You're the master of every task.
You're a dependable source of comfort;
You're my cushion when I fall.
You help in times of trouble;
You support me whenever I call.
I love you more than you know;
You have my total respect.
If I had my choice of mothers,
You'd be the one I'd select!

Studying in UMP often makes me miss my mother. I really love my mother a lot. She is more like a friend to me and when I came here I always cry because this is the first time I am far from her. But I overcame it by calling her every time. I call my mother more than four times a day. She is the person I depend a lot when I am happy or sad therefore I feel that the poem above really is meant for my mother. I dedicate this poem to my mother and I really love my mother a lot.
