Before this, i dont like to read article(because so many of word,no any picture.)
The article that i read is called"PARADYNE CASES".This article is suitable for student whose study in engineering.
"PARADYNE CASES" is mention about the codes of ethics of an engineer.
Competitive bidding among the companies to get the contract for computer systems. But what happen is the company(get the contract with bad action)is only know abouy the modems but not systems. The computer cannot work until more than one year.It make the owner waste a lot of money and time.
This cases tell us that we should have responsibility in doing any things. It is benefit for self and other.

After read the articles related to Paradyne Cases, I realised the importance of codes of ethics to an engineer. Because of the unethic attitudes of the engineers of Paradyne, it had caused the computers cannot work properly. This lead to the involved party to spend a lot of time and modal to solve the problems.
Another thing is as an future engineer, those article had taught me to think first before accept a task. Profits should not be the first element to consider. Engineer as a profession should acts like a professional and societies will continue respect engineer! Codes of ethics are importance to an Engineer!

hello..
actually i had read an article about the Australian wildlife expert and of course he is known simply as Steve Irwin or well-known as The Crocodile Hunter.

after read about him, i'm really admired his bravery and his love towards nature.he was always sharing about his excitement towards the nature world to people.he also was concerned with conservation of endangered animals and land clearing leading to loss of habitat.

one of his favourite phrases was " i considered myself a wildlife warriors. My mission is to save the wOrld's endangered species".maybe because of this phrase, his spirit was burning up.

however, the best part is his date of death is actually same as my birthday which is on 4th september and this will make me easily to remember about him as the WILDLIFE WORRIORS....

Why laughter is the best medicine?.I like very much this article not because I am a cheerful girl but because the content of this article. It gives many information to us.Actually, laughing can lowers the blood pressure, reduces the stress hormones and increase muscle flexion.Besides, it can increase our immunity system by increasing the concentration of circulating antibodies in the blood stream. Those who are always feel stress, try to laugh but if you can't bring yourself to laugh just SMILE.

The article I read is a world news article in "the star online" webpage. The title was"Police missed 2006 tip on kipnapped California girl" (by Alexandria Sage on 29 August 2009)

The news is talking about a California girl named Jaycee Dugard who kidnapped for 18 years since she was 11 years old has been rescued recently. However, actually police have the chance to rescue Jaycee in 2006 when the neighbour of the suspicions called police and said he was a "psychotic"with sexual addictions. However, at that time, the police officer who on duty just gave the simple oral warning to the suspicion only but did not enter the backyard of the suspicion's house and he missed the chance to solve this crime. Police apologized for their negligence.

The girl,Jaycee Dugard, now 29.She has two daughters( 11 and 15 years old ) with the suspision. As her said, among this 18 years, she and her daughters never have the chance to leave the backyard of the house and never see the doctor although sick. Now she has already
reunite with her family.

This article have bring me a deep thinking. I should felt felicitate because I have the chance to grow up in a peaceful and safe environment under protection of my happy family. Not like Jaycee, since she was 11 years old, she should live in a closed place and no chance to contact with outside again. Her family failed to find her again. She lost her freedom since she was kidnapped by the sex offender. Now although she already reunite with her family, but can she forget all the sadness experience and restart her life with happiness?I don't know, but I really hope that she can done it.Hope God blessed her.

Yesterday i had read article about
antivirus software protection that written by George Christodoulou, an computer analysis.

In his article, most people use free antivirus software to protect their computer without realize actually it cannot protect their computer from new virus threat that developed every day. He suggest that we should use payable antivirus because it is actually an investment. When your antivirus get problems, you can contact the manufacturer of this software and inform them about your problem so they can update their databanks to solve this problem in the future.

Based the information he given above, i hope that my friends that use free antivirus software thinks twice because new virus threats always attacks our computer without we noticed. So, you should change free antivirus to payable antivirus to ensure the your data in computer is safe in the future.

Hai,
Actually I'm not really like to reading an article..so to make it interesting I prefer to comment on an article about my favourite boyband. The article title is TVXQ versus SM, where tvxq is my favourite boyband and SM is the company who manage them. From this article I got the information about the rumour of TVXQ disband. This news really make me shocked because they have a good voice and many good songs. Furthermore, they are also have the most fans not only in Asian country but also in Western. I am quite upset and sad about this news because I wonder if i could not see their performance as one group anymore.

I was browsing through the web pages in the internet and I came across with the no.1 best seller in the States, Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom.

I honestly feel what Morrie said was very true.
“Once you learn how to die, you learn how to live”. (Quoted from Tuesdays with Morrie).
My point of view is that we human often take things for granted. Thinking and assume that everything will be permanent. But the truth is NO! People often say that a near death experience or a dying person sees things in a different manner. From these articles, I realize that we are too involved in chasing after materialistic things but at the end of the day, none of it is following us.

I was once being advised not to run too fast in chasing over materialistic things as our final destination of our so called “marathon” will be our grave. And it gave me something to think about.

The simple article i have read is "Where do you shine?" by Jason Gracia. It is a meaningful and motivating article. The writer said that money is not the key to happiness."Stuff" is also not the key to happiness. With the help of Dr.Martin Seligman an expert in psychology, they discovered through their investigations that happiness is related to our strenghts- the things we are good at.It is proven that people are happy when they apply their unique skills toward a challenging project or goal.
I agree with the writer that we can be happy through our archievements beside other factors like spending meaningful time our loves ones.Money is definately not the first thing we get our happiness from. How we shine and how we show the ability we have is what makes us happy. It also makes us feel thankful and grateful with what we have.
I have a very good example here who is Warren Buffett. He is the second richest man in the world but he lives in small house and owns a small old car.He donates 31 billion to the charity. He sets goals every year to maintain his archievement. With this it is clear that Warren Buffett is happy with his goals that he has archieve but not with all the money he has. He only use the money he has for what he needs but not for leisures.
In conclusion ,we don't need millions to be happy or to shine. What we need is already within us.We should discover our strenghts and apply them to a challenging goal and aim.

this article is quiet interesting. actually i feel nervous and like want to cry when i read this article.
this article is about human right, humanity or we can say is about human free to talk.one of the sentence that i like is 'the advent of a world in which human beings shall
enjoy freedom of speech and belief'. every human have their own opinion and they should have their own right to say it. no body can stop them.
this article also talk about the freedom to be religion. For me,
the cartoon of prophet Muhammad, the controversy surrounding Abu Ghaib and others should't be done.
there's shouldn't be any strict to any individual about their religion. to me, no body can stop me about what i'm gonna do. people who done the criminal like that is such a rubbish.
i like this article. i give me confidence. no body should be hatred because of their own opinionand belief .
Dr. Agnes Callamard, Executive Director, ARTICLE 19, have said 'Exactly what measures States impose to restrict freedom of expression is up to them, but the main
parameter is that whatever they do has to be "necessary in a democratic society". This really is
crucial'. this article also have mention about one thing. it is 'Catherine Pitt, Bridging the Human Rights and Development discourses: Is the Right to Freedom of

Firstly I’m not person who likes to read article. But I like to read novels. Suddenly I got chance to read an article, because it is my Engineering society subject’ assignment. I need to do some summary about that. I read about the Competitive Bidding and Paradyne case. It is about the fraud in bidding of contract for $115 M to replace the computer systems used by offices of the Social Security Administration (SSA). To bid the project Paradyne hired a former SSA employee who helped making the proposal and setup for the bids. SSA were informed of the hiring but approved it. Paradyne main business was building modems not computers.Bids alluded to a finished product. Because of the system untested the first 16 systems failed the test on delivery. So the case explained us that we should not do fraud in bidding and should not sign for the contract that we don’t know about.

Coffee is one of the good medicine. You don't believed it?
trust me, you should believed it. After i read the article drink coffee for a healthy by Micheal Lee-Smith, it is a true eventhought coffee is not good because contain a caffein. It's not too good to be true: coffee consumption appears to lower the risk for several diseases. And, what's even more exciting, the more you drink, the greater the health benefits. After I read the article, says that the coffee is effective to stopping a morning headache and boosting the mood.
For the person that have an asthma, the coffee is helpful in managing asthma and even controlling attacks when medication is unavailable.

The interesting thing about coffee a new research by Harvard demonstrates that consuming one to three cups of caffeinated coffee daily can reduce diabetes risk by single digits.

The really interesting thing here is that more and more studies are revealing that coffee, particularly in higher amounts, we can have very positive effects on overall health. And while there may be some negatives to excessive drinking of coffee, overall, research shows that coffee is far more beneficial than it is harmful.

Another great example is that at least two cups daily can translate to a 25% reduced risk of colon cancer, an 80% drop in liver cirrhosis risk, and nearly half the risk of gallstones, versus those who do not drink coffee.

Coffee is a significant source of caffeine, and the evidence is very strong that regular coffee consumption reduces risk of Parkinson's disease. The cause of that is directly related to caffeine. As a result, Parkinson's drugs are currently being developed which contain a derivative of caffeine.

Coffee also has large amounts of antioxidants such as chlorogenic acid and tocopherols, and minerals such as magnesium. These compounds have been shown to improve insulin sensitivity and glucose metabolism. This increased sensitivity improves one's response to insulin. Like the advertisement of nescafe, haahahah..

So, don't wait too much. Drinking a coffee, but not everyday maybe one cups in one week to get a good health..hahhaha
thanks..

The article that I read is 'Living Room Decorating Ideas'. I was very interested in home decoration as I love staying at home. So, I had read a lot of articles about it.

This article told me that the choosing of wall colour and carpet or floor is very important. It is because it will effect the matching with the furniture.

Besides that, the positioning of the furniture also must right. For an example, always hang mirror in such way that guest do not see their reflection in them all the time.

In addition, I got ideas on making living room look life by adding some flora at the corner.Or, I can hang big picture or make murals on the wall.

And the last one is the lighting style in the living room should be both general and diffused.

This article was very informative and give me a lots of ideas.

Last time when i was at Penang Matriculation, the final test of English Paper, there is a passage about JOSHUA BELL that affects me most. I found an article at The Washington Post website named PEARLS BEFORE BREAKFAST written by Gene Weingarten.

Here is a little summarize about him..

Joshua Bell is one of the greatest musicians in the world. He played one of the most intricate pieces ever written, with a violin worth $3.5 million dollars. He perform well and his ticket always sold out. 2days before this research is made, his ticket at a theater in Boston was sold out where each seats averaged $100.

Here is a little summarize on the article..

It happen at Washington, DC Metro Station on a cold January morning in 2007. Joshua Bell with his violin played 6 Bach pieces for about 45 minutes. During that time approximately 2000 people went through the station, most of them on their way to work. After 3 minutes a middle aged man noticed there was a musician playing. He slowed his pace and stopped for a few seconds and then hurried to meet his schedule.4 minutes later, he received his first dollar, a woman threw the money in the hat and, without stopping, continued to walk.6 minutes,a young man leaned against the wall to listen to him, then looked at his watch and started to walk again.10 minutes, a 3-year old boy stopped but his mother tugged him along hurriedly. The kid stopped to look at the violinist again, but the mother pushed hard and the child continued to walk, turning his head all the time. This action was repeated by several other children. Every parent, without exception, forced their children to move on quickly.45 minutes, the musician played continuously. Only 6 people stopped and listened for a short while. About 20 gave money but continued to walk at their normal pace. The man collected a total of $32.1 hour later,he finished playing and silence took over. No one noticed. No one applauded, nor was there any recognition.

And here is a little nice words I copy and paste from one of the blog on web.

This is a true story. Joshua Bell playing incognito in the metro station was organized by the Washington Post as part of a social experiment about perception, taste and people’s priorities. The questions raised: in a common place environment at an inappropriate hour, do we perceive beauty? Do we stop to appreciate it? Do we recognize talent in an unexpected context?

One possible conclusion reached from this experiment could be this: If we do not have a moment to stop and listen to one of the best musicians in the world, playing some of the finest music ever written, with one of the most beautiful instruments ever made…. How many other things are we missing?

The article about PEARLS BEFORE BREAKFAST can be obtain here:

I have read the article about Professionalism And Ethics but I don't know who is the writer. The article is about engineering as a profession and the ethical problem face by engineering world. The article highlight the question, is engineering a profession? The concept of profession is very wide but it mention that profession is the work that need high skill and judgment and not routine. So for engineer that always make a design better and always modified a design so it will better or that always create the better new design is consider as a professional. The ethics is very important in engineering world since engineering shape the social and social live will be by what way engineering create it.

last night i have an article about the philosophy.what i want to share here actually philosophy is really important in our lives Philosophy has had enormous influence on our everyday lives. The very language we speak uses classifications derived from philosophy. For example, the classifications of noun and verb involve the philosophic idea that there is a difference between things and actions. If we ask what the difference is, we are starting a philosophic inquiry.
Every institution of society is based on philosophic ideas, whether that institution is the law, government, religion, the family, marriage, industry, business, or education. Philosophic differences have led to the overthrow of governments, drastic changes in laws, and the transformation of entire economic systems. Such changes have occurred because the people involved held certain beliefs about what is important, true, real, and significant and about how life should be ordered.By studying philosophy, people can clarify what they believe, and they can be stimulated to think about ultimate questions. A person can study philosophers of the past to discover why they thought as they did and what value their thoughts may have in one's own life. There are people who simply enjoy reading the great philosophers, especially those who were also great writers.

Assalamualaikum...just now i have read an article about Boston Molasses Disaster in the North End neighbourhood of Boston, Massachusetts in United States.the disaster was occurred on 15, January 1919.molasses is an active ingredient in order to produce alcoholic beverages such as rum and ethyl alcihol.the disaster is caused by a large storage tank burst and wave of molasses rushed through the streets with 35 mph(56 km/h) and destroy local folkore and resident area.from the disaster, 21 people was killed and 150 people injured.to cleanup the molasses,it took over 87 000 man hours to remove it.
actually, after i read more on this article, there are several factors that contribute to the disaster which is the tank was poorly constructed and sufficently tested. futhermore, they neglect the basic safety tests such as filling the tank with water to check for leaks. when the tank was filled with molasses, the tank leaked so badly that it was painted brown to hide the leaks.
i hope i will take it as a lesson because of the profit, they ignore the safety and cover their mistakes until the time happen.when time has come, their ignorance turn into disaster.no need to regret anymore.
thats all. thank you.

Recently i read an article about importance of good eating habits...the article said that it is very important to have good eating habits in our daily life.I just realize that we eat there are some emotional and physical reasons why we eat,but most of the people never put much thought in eating.

Good nutrition provides energy and raw materials, that was what i read in the article. The article said that the best kind of eating habits we can develop are ones that allow we to enjoy what we eat (not a complete feel good diet however), but we need to have a balanced and good diet that doesn't leave we getting too much of one thing and not enough of another. The most commonly nutrient that out of proportion in our body are carbohydrates fat and cholesterol. We should stay discipline in eating,it is hard but good eating habits pay us with improved health and energy.

I get a lot of information in this article especially about the food pyramid,it say that junk food and beverages, like soda, that have little positive nutritional value. The food pyramid indicates that foods from this 'other' group should be used sparingly, and perhaps should not be part of our good diet plan.

This articles have a lots of information,i think that it is very useful for all people.

During the celebration of Colorado's centennial, the Big Thompson Canyon was the site of devastating flash floods that swept down the steep and narrow canyon, claiming the lives of 143 people, 5 of whom were never found. Little rain fell over the lower section of the canyon, where many of the victims were. Around 9PM a wall of water more than 6 meters (20 ft) high raced down the canyon at about 6 m/s (14 mph), destroying 400 cars, 418 houses and 52 businesses and washing out most of U.S. Route 34. A woman who was researching the flood's victims discovered he was still alive. As conclusion I would like to say that all of us should be helping hand.

Recently I have read an article about time management tips for students.
To begin managing our time we first need a clearer picture/idea of how we now use our time. This will estimate how much time we currently spend in typical activities and identify our time waster.
Next, we should follow the rule when we study:
spend lesser time on an easy subject;more for moderate subject; and spend even more time on difficult subject, such as mathematcis.
We should learn to say NO in a polite way whenever we meet a situation like this: your friend would like you to watch a movie with him tonight, but you were going to study and do laundry.
Also, we have to learn to priortise our task. We need to decide which is needed to be done by today and which by next week.
Finally, we should make a timetable that suits us and work for us. A time schedule that is not personalised and honest is not a time schedule at all. The most important is we must follow the time schedule made.
Thank You.

In fact you must make sure that we have on with us a most comfortable shoes. besides that, as a beginner runner, we must start from shorter distance or at a shorter time this is due to avoid hard and difficult runs. but there are most important rule to avoid the running injuries is stretching. I just done read an article about the pig farm killer by Robert Pickton.Robert William Pickton was born October 24th, 1949 in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia. He inherited property along with two other siblings and when portions of the family property were purchased for development the Pickton's became quite well off financially.Robert and his brother David threw outrageous and wild parties regularly, using a converted building near their pig farm that they dubbed "The Piggy Palace." These parties lasted all hours of the night and were attended by numerous citizens of Vancouver, friends, and prostitutes from downtown’s Eastside, which was a haven for drug addicts and sex workers.

The “Piggy Palace” was also used to host charity events and functions on behalf of worthy groups and sports organizations. The Pickton’s ran a registered charity called “Piggy Palace Good Times Society.” It’s believed Robert preyed on female victims he came into contact with during these wild parties.

I had read an article of a sculpture by Jim Sanborn, named Kryptos. Kryptos is the first cryptographic sculpture made by Sanborn and is presented at the CIA, USA on 1990. The sculpture is both a puzzle and a mystery. The cyphered messages contained within the sculpture has 2,000 alphabetic letters for those who hope to crack the puzzle. Three of the four sections have been confirmed to have been solved. No one has yet been able to solve the remaining message. What's interesting is what he said. If he pass away before the sculpture's code is cracked, there will be a "sort of historic record" left to verify the claim. It's like there is something that you had left behind in this world.

First of all, i want to say 'sorry' that i write this comment so late. The article that i want to share with u all is "How to manage our stress??" It is more than important that you constantly work on reducing your stress level in order to maintain your overall health. Therefore, this are the stress releasing tips that i want to share with you all.

Exercise: even if you go for a walk for 15-25 minutes four days a week it will help your body to get rid of adrenaline and produce endorphins (a natural tranquilizer). Not to mention you will not only feel better, you will also look the part.

Yoga: Many ramble that practicing yoga is the best way to manage or release stress. It focuses on breathing techniques, exercises, connecting with the universe on a spiritual and mental level. If this option seems interesting to you I suggest you do some research in order to learn the principles and decide if it is for you.

Stretch: People often stretch before and after a workout. However, learning stretching and flexing exercises to use as a way to relieve tension on many different areas of the body can help a great deal.

Laugh it off: Rent a funny movie and laugh out loud. Go out with friends or host gatherings. Tell everyone to bring a platter. Remember the key is to release tension not, add to it. Use paper plates and plastic cups to reduce the amount of work.

Take a break- Take time to relax, sleep, and maybe even take a vacation if you can. Your body does not only need it; you deserve it.
