Scientists find new creatures of Australian deep:

SYDNEY (AFP) – Scientists said Sunday they had uncovered new marine animals in their search of previously unexplored Australian waters, along with a bizarre carnivorous sea squirt and ocean-dwelling spiders.

A joint US-Australian team spent a month in deep waters off the coast of the southern island of Tasmania to "search for life deeper than any previous voyage in Australian waters," lead researcher Ron Thresher said.

What they found were not only species new to science -- including previously undescribed soft corals -- but fresh indications of global warming's threat to the country's unique marine life.

More women can live for more than 100 years?

What do you think about that? From the data, it is show that more women can live for more than hundred years. Rarely can we learn women can live for more than 100 years. From the statistic, America’s country at the higher level which show that 64,388 women can live with a long time. They may be having ideas why they can survive their life for a long time. Then the second highest level is Japan which the total is 22,803 and the last level is from the Russia country which shows 3,582 women can survive their life for more than 100 years. There are a lot of factors that causes they can life with a long time. For example is the way they practice their diets. For 100 years ago, there are no chemical ingredients that put into the food or water. Hence, their body not influence by these chemical substances. In addition to that, the environment play important factor in affecting our health. Nowadays, we can see that air and water pollution every time. These pollutions can cause the diseases which sometime will cause a death.

brave act of Erdogan..

Yesterday, the prime minister of Turkey left during the World Economic Forum (WEF) after arguing with President of Israel about that country's action of attacking Gaza and cause more than 1300 people died. Well, its actually a very rare view to see, where a leader of a country would just walk away from that forum because didn't agree with the Israel's action. If only, more country leader is like that, then maybe things such as war won't ever happen again in the future. Unfortunately, things are not as what we always want it. May the effort to make war as a crime will success, so no one will ever make a step towards it again..

Diabetes may hamper brain function

PEOPLE with Type II diabetes may have difficulties processing certain types of information quickly and precisely.
Researchers from the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada, found small but significant differences between people with diabetes and their healthy peers with regards to brain function and speed tests.
However, they said it was not clear how diabetes might influence brain function, but the effect of the disease on blood vessels may be a factor. Some researchers have proposed that insulin and blood sugar regulation and variability could also play a role.

THE DANGER OF MOUTHCLEANSER..

A NEW study has found “sufficient evidence” implicating alcohol-containing mouthwashes in oral cancer.

An Australian scientist, whose findings were published in the Dental Journal of Australia, said some mouthwashes were more dangerous than wine or beer because they contained higher concentrations of alcohol, as high as 26 per cent.
The alcohol in mouthwash allows cancer-causing substances such as nicotine to penetrate the lining of the mouth easily.
It results in a toxic breakdown product of alcohol called acetaldehyde — another carcinogen — which can accumulate in the oral cavity when swished around the mouth.
The evidence was based on an international study of 3,210 people, which found daily mouthwash a “significant risk factor” for head and neck cancer.
The effects were worse in smokers who had a nine-fold increase in risk of cancers of the oral cavity, pharynx and larynx. Those who drank alcohol were more than five times at risk.
However, British Dental Association and Cancer Research UK cautioned that more research was needed to confirm the findings

HerBS???

Danger in herbal remedies

THERE is little scientific evidence that herbal remedies commonly used to treat menopausal symptoms work. Some may be even dangerous if taken with other treatments.
Black cohosh, red clover, dong quai, evening primrose oil and ginseng are taken to ease hot flashes, sleeplessness and diminished sex drive in the belief that they are natural products without risk.
An article published in the journal Drug and Therapeutics Bulletin mentioned that herbal medicines have pharmacological actions, and so can cause unwanted side effects. They can also have potentially dangerous interactions with other medicines, both herbal and conventional.
An estimated 30 to 70 per cent of women in industrialised countries experience menopause-related symptoms caused by a sharp fall in estrogen levels. Hormone replacement therapy was a popular treatment until 2002, when a major study suggested it might increase the risk not only of breast and ovarian cancer, but also of strokes and other serious conditions.

Youngsters exposed to alcohol in womb more likely to drink

BABIES exposed to alcohol in the womb may be more likely to become teenage drinkers.
Scientists believe a mother-to-be’s diet determines her unborn baby’s sense of smell. Youngsters who have been exposed to alcohol in the womb are attracted to its smell in the breath of other teenagers.
This in turn may increase their chances of drinking. Researchers said that early exposure could “worsen the consequences of alcohol-related social interaction by increasing teenagers’ propensity to engage in such settings”.
The findings, reported in the journal Behavioral and Brain Function, noted that rats exposed to alcohol in the womb were twice as likely to follow the “drinker” ones. — Agencies

Hot TIPS for gurls..

Cola Barbecue Sauce

This one is an interesting twist to the brown sauce; and a good substitute, too.

The slight sweetness from the cola and its tangy undertones give the familiar flavours of brown sauce a rejuvenating lift to poultry, lamb or gamey meats.

It can also be used as a marinade for steaks or chicken, if you are adventurous enough to evolve its recipe!

In a saucepan, simmer 250g of barbecue sauce, 290g of Coca-Cola or Pepsi and a stick of butter or margarine.

After 45 to 60 minutes, take it off the heat and season with salt and pepper. Just know that this sauce is not meant to have a thick consistency.

Only for gurls that do not know how to cok!!!! haaaa.... :D

Mango Barbecue Sauce

The appetising orange colour of this one will remind you of processed baby food but the flavours are way more sophisticated.

It has a gentle tangy edge to its sweetness with spicy up-lifter which makes it a perfect companion for grilled prawns and all types of white meat, fish, chicken and even duck.

In a saucepan, throw in a peeled and cubed ripe mango, 250g of mango chutney, 120g of minced onion, 15g of minced garlic, 875g of canned crushed plum tomatoes with the juices, 30g of cider vinegar, 15g of molasses (available in many organic stores) and a dash of Tabasco sauce.

Cover the saucepan and simmer these ingredients on low heat for 20 minutes or until the sauce thickens.

Then puree or mash through a strainer and season with salt and pepper before serving.

MORE hOt tips..ehe

Orange-Sour Cream Sauce

At first taste, I thought this one was orange cheesecake in a spoon. Its orangey-zesty undertones help cut the creaminess of its consistency and flavour.

However, it is a surprisingly terrific companion for a variety of grilled fruits like pineapple and melon.

My favourite’s the grilled papaya with a dollop of this creamy, zesty sauce. Papaya’s meaty, juicy quality gives the sauce a terrific body.

Now, the best part is that there is no cooking required. All you need to do is mix together 450g of sour cream, 125g of brown sugar, 30g of orange juice, 30g of orange liqueur and 5g of grated orange peel.

You do need to refrigerate it for a few hours before serving.

Cut fruits of your choice in thick, chunky slices and grill them for a minute or two on each side. Allow for the flesh to be seared to have that smokey flavour.

Tip: You can replace the orange liqueur with a generous tablespoon of Sunquick.

Return of Butterfingers

They left us in 2004, leaving us with their album “Selamat Tinggal Dunia“, in English it says “Good Bye World”. Now they are back with an album “Kembali“, a Malay word for “Return”.

In the early days, Butterfingers is the epitome of ’90s indie rock/grunge scene. As a Nirvana fan, it was easy for me to dig Butterfingers’ music. During the 90’s, Butterfingers homegrown ‘Seattle grunge scene’. I was still in my secondary schooling days.

Formed in late 1993, with the line up, Loque (songwriter, guitarist), Emmett (vocals, guitar and lyricist), Kadak (bass) and Kalai (drums) they hit the underground scene with such vengeance, that one could only describe as ‘the stuff of underground legends’. Most of their shows were sold out.

Even though during this time the Seattle grunge scene slowly fading away after the death of Kurt Cobain, and making way for more melodic and less angst bands, but the Malaysian youth were far from over with grunge.

that is the different in our local..
and me hereby solemnly ask u all to support our local band..
cause we are no different than those outsider band, and for me we are far more greater than them..

To my friends who enjoy a glass of wine… and those who don’t.

Ain’t sure how true is this research is as I got it from an email but it’s still good… still good!

As Ben Franklin said:

‘In wine there is wisdom.
In beer there is freedom
In water there is bacteria.’

In a number of carefully controlled trials, scientists have demonstrated that if we drink 1 liter of water each day, at the end of the year we would have absorbed more than 1 kilo of Escherichia coli, (E. coli) - bacteria found in feces. In other words, we are consuming 1 kilo of poop.

However, we do NOT run that risk when drinking wine & beer (or tequila, rum, whiskey or other liquor) because alcohol has to go through a purification process of boiling, filtering and/or fermenting.

SICK RIGHT..??
The mainpoint that i want to say is for muslim whatever u eat or drink as long its halal and pray with with basmalah before swallow them is da best feast for your body..

Sewage yields more gold than top mines???

TOKYO (Reuters) – Resource-poor Japan just discovered a new source of mineral wealth -- sewage.

A sewage treatment facility in central Japan has recorded a higher gold yield from sludge than can be found at some of the world's best mines. An official in Nagano prefecture, northwest of Tokyo, said the high percentage of gold found at the Suwa facility was probably due to the large number of precision equipment manufacturers in the vicinity that use the yellow metal. The facility recently recorded finding 1,890 grammes of gold per tonne of ash from incinerated sludge.

That is a far higher gold content than Japan's Hishikari Mine, one of the world's top gold mines, owned by Sumitomo Metal Mining Co Ltd, which contains 20-40 grammes of the precious metal per tonne of ore.

The prefecture is so far due to receive 5 million yen ($55,810) for the gold, minus expenses.

It expects to earn about 15 million yen for the fiscal year to the end of March from the gold it has retrieved from the ashes of incinerated sludge.

"How much we actually receive will depend on gold prices at the time," the official said.

Clues on how trace metal may be linked to Parkinsons:

PARIS (AFP) – Manganese, a metal that is naturally present in the human body, may contribute to Parkinson's disease when defective genes interact to enhance its toxicity, according to a study published Sunday.

Parkinson's attacks the nervous system and is characterized by the loss of cells which produce dopamine, a critically important neurotransmitter that ferries chemical messages within the brain.

Symptoms include muscular rigidity, difficulty with initiating movements, lack of balance, and slowness of voluntary actions.

In experiments on yeast cells, researchers showed that the toxicity caused by an over-abundance of a protein, alpha-synuclein, previously linked to the disease is greatly reduced in the presence of a second protein, known as ATP13A2.

The latter is thought to play a role in transporting metal molecules, especially manganese, a known risk factor for Parkinson's.

Manganese is an essential trace nutrient in virtually all forms of life. The human body contains about 10 milligrammes, stored mainly in the liver and kidneys.

A team led by Susan Lindquist at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute in Cambridge, Massachusetts demonstrated that yeast cells lacking ATP13A2 were more sensitive to the metal.

They were able to duplicate the same genetic interaction in laboratory-grown rat neurons.

Manganese exposure is regulated by the US Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

Like Parkinson's, essential tremor is a degenerative neurological disease characterised by tremor of the arms and hands that can impair writing, drinking, eating and other everyday activities.

Earlier studies suggested that the condition may occur in as many as 13 percent of persons over 65.

More than 100 dead in Kenya gasoline blaze

MOLO, Kenya – The explosion of an overturned tanker could be felt for miles, and the moments that followed haunted survivors: People ablaze, their clothes burned off, running to the bush in a futile effort to escape the pain and begging for help.

More than 100 people were killed, and another 200 injured in the inferno overwhelmed hospitals Sunday, where victims lined the floors, hooked to drips and moaning in pain. Authorities expected the death toll to rise and were searching the scorched woods for corpses.

Hundreds of impoverished people had flocked to the overturned tanker Saturday to siphon fuel when it exploded, likely sparked by a cigarette.

The explosion was one of this East African nation's deadliest accidents, and highlighted the desperation of people living in the poorest continent in the world

The government sent extra body bags and medical supplies to the area by helicopter, along with more doctors for the overwhelmed hospitals, where some victims were lying on floors. One child, who appeared to be around 10, was sitting dazed in a wheelchair with burns covering his face and body.

The Kenya Red Cross said the death toll was 113 but was expected to rise.

Battling worst-ever dengue outbreak

Malaysia,Friday it was battling its worst ever outbreak of dengue fever, with 14 deaths and some 5,062 cases of the mosquito-borne disease so far this year.

The crisis, which is centred on Kuala Lumpur and populous Selangor state surrounding the capital, compares to just five deaths and 2,855 cases in the same period a year ago.

Malaysia's health minister has warned that the dengue outbreak could damage the economy by discouraging tourism and lowering productivity.

Dengue fever is endemic in Southeast Asia and cases in Malaysia have surged since 2003.

Last year there were 49,335 cases in Malaysia with 112 deaths, compared to 48,846 cases with 98 deaths the previous year.

Cloned Pets: Looks Can Be Deceiving
Cloned Cows, Double Dogs and Copy Cats Look Like the Orignals but Act Differently

For the first time on Tuesday -- $155,000 and a disgraced Korean scientist later -- the Ottos of Boca Raton, Fla., met what they hope is the yellow Labrador retriever they had lived with for 11 years.

The couple this week welcomed into their home a 10-week-old puppy aptly named Sir Lancelot Encore, a genetic clone created in South Korea by a California biotech company from the DNA of the couple's beloved dog Sir Lancelot, who died last year.

"He was a wonderful dog," said Nina Otto, 66. "Money wasn't an object. We just wanted our wonderful, loving dog back."

The first successful mammal cloned from adult cells was Dolly the sheep in 1996. Since then, scientists have cloned a growing number of animals, from cats to cows, opening doors that have allowed for the production of life-saving human pharmaceuticals and the creation of dependably hearty livestock.

10 essential health tips
(yahoo tips)

1. Move More
Make it a daily challenge to find ways to move your body. Climb stairs if given a choice between that and escalators or elevators. Anything that moves your limbs is not only a fitness tool, it's a stress buster. It doesn't have to be an hour in the gym or a 45-minute aerobic dance class or tai chi or kickboxing. But that's great when you're up to it. Meanwhile, move more.Cha, Cha, Cha…

2. Cut Fat
Avoid the obvious such as fried foods, burgers and other fatty meats (i.e. pork, bacon, ham, salami, ribs and sausage). Dairy products such as cheese, cottage cheese, milk and cream should be eaten in low fat versions. Nuts and sandwich meats, mayonnaise, margarine, butter and sauces should be eaten in limited amounts. Most are available in lower fat versions such as substitute butter, fat free cheeses and mayonnaise. Thought for the day: Lean, mean, fat-burning machine…. Then be one!

3. Quit Smoking
The jury is definitely in on this verdict. Ever since 1960 when the Surgeon General announced that smoking was harmful to your health, Americans have been reducing their use of tobacco products that kill. Just recently, we've seen a surge in smoking in adolescents and teens.Beware. Warn your children of the false romance or 'tough guy' stance of Hollywood smokers. Thought for the day: Give up just one cigarette…. the next one.(plus….girls don’t like boys who smokes..hehehehe)

4. Reduce Stress
Easier said than done, stress busters come in many forms.Spend 30 minutes a day doing something you like. (i.e.,Soak in a hot tub; walk on the beach or in a park; read a good book; visit a friend; play with your dog; listen to soothing music; watch a funny movie. Get a massage, a facial or a haircut. Count to ten before losing your temper or getting aggravated. Avoid difficult people when possible. Thought for the day: When seeing red, think pink clouds….then float on them.
(my way of reducing stress…SHOPPING!!!!..hihihihi..it helps, seriously….when u’re in no mood, step on the wheel and buy whatever u like-mind the price of course...hehe..but my parents will get stressed next when I’m out of money…hehehe)

5. Protect Yourself from Pollution
If you can't live in a smog-free environment, at least avoid smoke-filled rooms, high traffic areas, breathing in highway fumes and exercising near busy thoroughfares.Thought for the day: 'Smoke gets in your eyes'…and your mouth, and your nose and your lungs as do pollutants….hum the tune daily.(Avoid smoking boys, girls…hehehe..)

6. Wear Your Seat Belt
Statistics show that seat belts add to longevity and help alleviate potential injuries in car crashes. Thought for the day: Buckle down and buckle up.

7. Floss Your Teeth
Recent studies make a direct connection between longevity and teeth flossing. Nobody knows exactly why. Perhaps it's because people who floss tend to be more health conscious than people who don't? Thought for the day: Floss and be your body's boss.(maybe flossing makes you feel more confident to talk, laugh…who knows…there’s something between your teeth while talking to the cute guy you adore, and he felt disgusted and leave you and you’ll get stressed…okay…that makes sense…a little..right??hehe)

8. Avoid Excessive Drinking
While recent studies show a glass of wine or one drink a day (two for men) can help protect against heart disease, more than that can cause other health problems such as liver and kidney disease and cancer. Thought for the day: A jug of wine should last a long time.

9. Keep a Positive Mental Outlook
There's a definitive connection between living well and healthfully and having a cheerful outlook on life. Thought for the day: You can't be unhappy when you're smiling or singing.

10. Choose Your Parents Well
The link between genetics and health is a powerful one. But just because one or both of your parents died young in ill health doesn't mean you cannot counteract the genetic pool handed you. Thought for the day: Follow these basic tips for healthy living and you can better control your own destiny.(nope…no idea what does this has to do with stress..choosing parents of course is not an option..but the way we live our life together with them might be one)

we only grow once,1 chance to live,one-shot...and no turning back..everyone is envy of the youth...so live your life to the fullest!!

The Health Benefits of Chocolate

Is chocolate good for you? Yes!Some of you may be thinking that a dark chocolate bar is bitter or yucky. If you aren't a fan of dark chocolate, you've probably never had the good stuff. Most notably, chocolate is a champion antioxidant that helps rid the body of free radicals. For every 100 grams, dark chocolate has 13,120 ORACs, and blueberries have only 2,400.

Antioxidant-rich diets have been linked to a lowered risk of heart attacks, stroke, cardiovascular disease, cancer, high blood pressure, cholesterol problems, arthritis, asthma, Alzheimer's and more.

Keep in mind that a strong dark chocolate bar might have ten to fifteen grams of sugar, which is still less than your glass of orange juice, the cup of yogurt, all of which are considered "good" for you.

And the caffeine in chocolate? An average bar contains about 27 mg, about half what you'd find in a cola and a third what you'd find in a cup of coffee.Less than 200 mg of caffeine a day, might actually be good for you.

So next time you're craving dessert, reach for the dark chocolate, and hold the guilt.

manage our anger

Anger..one word of danger which needs to be spelt in capitals because our daily lives move around both. we are angry at someone and all but mostly at our own selves.. we are angry because we are unable to fulfill our own expectations, our own desires and we blame others.. to overcome it, a simple exercise of pouring it all out in a diary in pencil may help.. Take out your emotions, use whatever language you feel like and leave it. Read it up the next day and if you want to erase with an eraser.. You'll erase the emotions from your heart.. this is the one way to let away our mad or anger to someone or something..it not so good to let the anger controlled ourselves, so get over it so that our life can be more peaceful than before..

how teeth whitening is done

At-Home Teeth Whitening

- First you need to go for tray fitting where a customized
impression is made of your upper and lower teeth. Then, for
a few hours everyday, you need to wear these customized
trays that are full of teeth whitening gel.

You need to do this for at least 3 days. The charges range
from free to less than $500.

In-Office Teeth Whitening

- You can choose from several different proprietary teeth
whitening processes. A teeth whitening gel is applied to
your teeth, usually Zoom, and a light is focused on it for
at least 1 hour or so.

The gel reacts with the light and thereby whitens the
teeth. Then, in another somewhat similar process, a teeth
whitening gel made from diluted hydrogen-peroxide is
applied to your teeth.

Then a blue light, called BriteSmile, is shone on it to
whiten the teeth. In another process, you can whiten your
teeth up to 10 shades using power light bleaching called
Rembrandt.

Some dentists claim that this also helps protect against
new stains, browning or yellowing of your teeth. This might
cost you upwards of $500.

Sometimes your teeth might become more sensitive for a
couple of days following a teeth whitening procedure.

Also, if your teeth have become yellow because you consume
excessive colas, red wine, tea or coffee then you might
notice perceptible differences in the shade of your teeth.
But if you have yellow teeth due to smoking or medications,
well, then the changes after your teeth whitening
procedures might not be so drastic.

Henry, Weber, and Yarbrough (2001), writing in this Journal, reported that many college students are living on the verge of a financial crisis. The purpose of this study was to further consider this assertion by examining college students' credit card use behavior and attitudes. A concurrent purpose was to test the factors associated with students' attitude toward credit cards. It was determined that, using a sample of 242 undergraduate and graduate students from a southwestern state university, Ethnic/racial background, academic level, credit card ownership, parents' credit card use, money ethic, and locus of control were associated with college students' credit card attitudes. Henry et al.'s assertion that students are vulnerable to a financial crisis was confirmed.

College students' use of credit cards has recently received increased visibility throughout the media (Hayhoe, 2002). Henry, Weber, and Yarbrough (2001), writing in this Journal, concluded that in addition to credit problems many students do not have a written budget, and of those who do have a budget few young people actually use it. They determined that university students "are vulnerable to financial crisis" (p. 246).

The staggering number of credit cards in circulation exemplifies this crisis, as does the number of cards carried by the average student. Currently, there are 1.3 billion credit cards in circulation, which, when averaged, equals about 12 cards per household (Sullivan, Warren, & Westbrook, 2000). The growth of credit cards on college campuses has tended to minor the credit saturation found in the general public (Xiao, Noring, & Anderson, 1995). More than a decade ago Churaman (1988) reported on college students' use of consumer credit. It was during this period that the banking industry began permeating the student credit card market in the late 1980's (Manning, 2000). Churaman reported that in 1985-86 over half of all college students had bank credit cards. This figure has been on the rise as some 70% of all undergraduates at four-year colleges have at least one credit card today.

The increased number and type of credit cards on university campuses has seen an explosive level of growth in the past decade, with most credit card companies targeting college students. What remains still unanswered is what effect credit card circulation among college students has had on the financial attitudes, behaviors, and outcomes of young Americans.

The purpose of this paper is to extend the research originally reported by Henry et al. (2001) by reporting findings from a study that was designed to examine college students' credit card use behavior and identify the factors associated with credit attitudes. This research also identifies the factors related to college students' attitudes toward credit cards. Attitude toward credit was assumed to be explained with demographic characteristics, socioeconomic characteristics, background factors, and psychological factors.

based on the article above...
i am very agree with the opinion that student does not have written budget...
the appearance of the credits card make they use more than what they can afford as a student...
im opinion is, student should not have credit card while studying because i think that they can pay all they amount that they had used...
credit card may cause a person become shopaholic and something like that...
the increasing of the use of credit card among student shuold not happen

Month-old baby abandoned at flats

NILAI: A 38-year-old housewife was shocked to find a month-old baby boy wrapped in a towel on the second floor of the Cempaka Flats, here, on Monday.

Paridah Wahab, who heard cries coming from above her unit, thought she would find stray kittens when she went to check out the noise at 6pm.

"I thought someone had left kittens bundled up in a towel because the cloth was moving.

"I never imagined I would find a baby," she said yesterday.

Paridah said the baby was dressed in a blue shirt, trousers, mittens and a cap when he was found at the corner of the building. "The person who abandoned the baby also left other items in a plastic bag -- a milk bottle, diapers, a blanket and a small pillow."

State police chief Datuk Osman Salleh, who visited the baby at the Tuanku Jaafar Hospital here yesterday, said the child was in good health. "The baby is now in the care of hospital staff and will be referred to the state Welfare Department. He has not shown any sign of illness and is coping well," he said.

Osman said police were investigating a claim that a woman was seen cradling a similar bundle at 4.30pm at the Giant Hypermarket here the same day the baby was found. "The flat where the baby was found is mostly populated by students and some families. "We believe the person who did this could have planned to abandon the baby when activity in the area was less busy," he said, adding that police have not received reports of a missing baby.

Google Earth maps the oceans

It began three years ago with a chance meeting in Spain between the legendary oceanographer Sylvia Earle and John Hanke, the director of Google Earth, the company’s free virtual globe software.

“John, when are you going to finish it?” asked Ms. Earle, “You should call Google Earth ‘Google Dirt.‘”

After that, Mr. Hanke and his team got to work mapping the remaining 70 percent of the planet’s surface. The result: Google Earth 5.0, which became available on Monday.

On the Official Google Blog, Hanke writes:

We have always had a big blue expanse and some low-resolution shading to suggest depth. But starting today we have a much more detailed bathymetric map (the ocean floor), so you can actually drop below the surface and explore the nooks and crannies of the seafloor in 3D. While you’re there you can explore thousands of data points including videos and images of ocean life, details on the best surf spots, logs of real ocean expeditions, and much more.

The “much more” includes shipwrecks, sea surface temperature data, maps of Marine Protected Areas, so-called dead zones, wildlife tracking data, chlorophyll levels, old Jacques Cousteau videos, and much more. One favorite is a feature that allows you to track Arctic sea ice extent from 1979 to 2008.

To gather all this data, Google turned to a host of ocean scientists and environmental advocacy groups, including the Cousteau Society, the International Union for Conservation of Nature, the Monterey Bay Aquarium, the National Geographic Society, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the New England Aquarium, the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, the Virginia Institute of Marine Science, and the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, to name a few.

Conservationists praised the software’s potential to boost public support. The New York Times’s Andrew Revkin quotes Barbara Block, a marine biologist at Stanford University:

“We cannot as a community conserve what we cannot see,” Dr. Block said. “We’ve worked with the Monterey Bay Aquarium for years to put giant bluefin and white sharks on display, and if we’re lucky 2 million people a year come and see the animals and discover their color, beauty of motion, and form. With the Google oceans feature, we potentially can reach hundreds of millions.”

A press release from the Geneva-based International Union for Conservation of Nature, which compiles the world’s most comprehensive listing of the conservation status of plants and animals, quotes Carl Gustaf Lundin, who heads the organization’s Global Marine Programme.

“With ‘Ocean in Google Earth’ everybody can see the unbelievable beauty of our marine life and how incredibly threatened it is.”

Other features in this latest release of Google Earth include the ability to view historical map data, to create narrated, sharable tours, and to view the terrain of Mars.

Sand and Stone

A story tells that two friends were walking through the desert. During some point of the journey they had an argument, and one friend slapped the other one in the face. The one who got slapped was hurt, but without saying anything, wrote in the sand: "TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE."

They kept on walking until they found an oasis, where they decided to take a bath. The one, who had been slapped, got stuck in the mire and started drowning, but the friend saved him. After the friend recovered from the near drowning, he wrote on a stone: "TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SAVED MY LIFE."

The friend who had slapped and saved his best friend asked him, "After I hurt you, you wrote in the sand and now, you write on a stone, why?"

The other friend replied: "When someone hurts us, we should write it down in sand where winds of forgiveness can erase it away. But, when someone does something good for us, we must engrave it in stone where no wind can ever erase it."

LEARN TO WRITE YOUR HURTS IN THE SAND, AND TO CARVE YOUR BENEFITS IN STONE

"A son and his father were walking on the mountains.
Suddenly, his son falls, hurts himself and screams: "AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!"
To his surprise, he hears the voice repeating, somewhere in the mountain: "AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!"
Curious, he yells: "Who are you?"
He receives the answer: "Who are you?"
And then he screams to the mountain: "I admire you!"
The voice answers: "I admire you!"
Angered at the response, he screams: "Coward!"
He receives the answer: "Coward!"
He looks to his father and asks: "What's going on?"
The father smiles and says: "My son, pay attention."
Again the man screams: "You are a champion!"
The voice answers: "You are a champion!"
The boy is surprised, but does not understand.
Then the father explains: "People call this ECHO, but really this is LIFE.
It gives you back everything you say or do.
Our life is simply a reflection of our actions.
If you want more love in the world, create more love in your heart.
If you want more competence in your team, improve your competence.
This relationship applies to everything, in all aspects of life;
Life will give you back everything you have given to it."

YOUR LIFE IS NOT A COINCIDENCE. IT'S A REFLECTION OF YOU!"

'Staring me in the Face'

"Have you been there?"
"Been where?" I was totally dazed. From dropping my book and banging my head and everything.
"Australia, New Zealand."
I stared at him and thought again of what Mark had said about me reminding him of someone. An Australian? Maybe an ex-girlfriend or wife?
"Not such a strange question," he said. "You're old enough to have travelled there. And Katherine Mansfield, Janet Frame, are most likely in the book."
His smile crinkled up his eyes.
"No, I haven't and yes, they are," I said.
That's how it started. He asked me a question, nodded when I spoke and then asked another. I was off, talking about reading, books and all that stuff I love.

Comment:

I liked this story alot... I was dissapointed with the ending tho i just wish it would of been her father but hey its cool they are friends. I also thought it was going to be more of a love story intill the phrase Old like ur dad . But most of all this story was really good.

Very nice use of dialog to move the story along. However it felt disjointed to me and I wasn't certain where the author really wanted to go with it.

Tips for success...

Personal Success

How quickly can you move the particles (communications, projects, services and so on) in your life or work? How fast are you?

When you wait, avoid and make excuses, you kill your speed. You delay your success.

When you respond quickly, act without delay and complete tasks faster than anyone else, you have power.

For example, high-school graduates Lynn and Chris both want to become school teachers.

Lynn says, "I’ve got all those years of school in front of me. I’m taking a year off to ride my bike around Europe before I start."

Chris says, "I can’t wait to teach. I’m taking classes this summer and will get my degree in three years."

Who do you think becomes the other’s principal?

The only road to significant success is in the fast lane.

Ten Tips for Speeding up Your Success

1. Jump into projects as soon as possible.

2. Act quickly on opportunities. If you see what you want, jump on it before you lose the chance.

3. Push yourself to walk faster, talk faster, read faster and move faster.

4. Keep up your speed with good habits: sufficient sleep, good food, regular exercise and so on.

5. Reduce or eliminate people or things that delay or stop you from moving quickly.

6. Whenever you think something can’t be done quickly, ask "Why not?"

7. Constantly look for faster methods to get the same result.

8. Send and return communications with as little delay as possible.

9. Set tough deadlines for completing tasks and make them.

10. Challenge yourself by taking on more work than ever and getting it done in less time than ever

School dropouts: Many quit because they can't cope

KOTA KINABALU: Thirteen-year-old Michael Losion works as a greasing-boy for a contractor.
The mild-mannered Kadazandusun packs a solid handshake and was proud of the job he got a month ago.

"I help to grease the 'Case' and 'Hitachi'. I hope to become a driver," said Michael, pointing to the bulldozer and excavator that he helps to service as an apprentice to his uncle, the mechanic.

He doesn't want to talk about school. After finishing Year Six at SK Rompon in Tambunan, Michael left school.

"I don't know," when pressed on why he quit, but he pledges to ensure his four younger siblings continue schooling.
Pinda Dula, the village chief of Saliku Sumatalun, a remote Murut village in Pensiangan that takes two days to reach by road, river and footpath from here, offers a reason why rural children in Sabah quit school. "They tell me they cannot catch up with the other children and feel sidelined."

Majunjum Ambiloh of Lumpagas, also in Pensiangan, said most villages did not have schools. "We have to leave our children in makeshift hostels looked after by teachers, friends or relatives. Some can go through it but others might not. "I had to stay with my child for over a month when she started school. "The school is four hours by boat from our home," he said.

Living in hostels far from home also makes these rural children easy prey for bullies.

Anthony Simon, 19, recalls being bullied when he was at the SM Datuk Peter Mojuntin hostel in Penampang. After Form One, he decided to quit. "I was beaten up for no reason, mocked by others and did terribly in my studies. I did not have anyone to turn to," he said. Social worker Henry Kassim, a Murut from Saliku Sumatalun, said he was fortunate to have been "rescued" by a teacher at SM Nabawan, Penampang. "Bullies forced me to flee the school but a teacher caught me as I was escaping from the hostel and took me to his home. "Things could have been different if the teacher did not take me in."

How To Take Care Of Our Skin Without Spending Much

I know very rich people can afford to buy expensive products to have beautiful skin. Although these "expensive" beauty products do have their benefits, more often than not, beautiful skin is the result of a healthy lifestyle and an effective skincare regimen.

Here are some practical tips on how to maintain a beautiful skin without spending too much :

* Drink lots of water. Drinking around eight glasses a day can cleanse your system and hydrate your skin.

* Eat balanced meals. A healthy diet will help you achieve blemish-free skin. Try to eat in moderation and include more in fruits and vegetables.

* Get enough sleep. Make sure you get enough sleep. Around eight hours should do the trick, you will look so much better minus the dark circles and eye bags.

* Exercise regularly. Exercise helps rid your system of toxins aside from keeping your body trim and toned. It stimulates perspiration and the oil-secreting action of the skin which helps retain moisture and health in our skin, hair and even nails.

* Protect yourself from the sun's harmful rays. Unprotected exposure to the sun's rays will not only cause premature lines, freckles and sun spots, but might even lead to skin cancer. Wear sun block whenever you go outdoors, not just when you're on the beach, by the pool or engaging in some outdoor activity. The earlier you get into this routine, the better.

* Reduce stress. Relax and take things in stride. You'll look younger and more beautiful when you feel good inside.

* Establish a skincare regimen. You must consistently follow a skincare program in order to achieve and maintain beautiful skin. It need not be complicated procedure, the simpler it is , the more convenient to you. Simple routine such as cleansing, toning, nourishing or moisturizing may spell the difference between aging gracefully and looking old, dull, and tired.

Bear in mind that skincare need not be expensive. You can work within your budget and still can achieve near-flawless skin by treating your body right. More than anything else, it should be consistent.

TIPS FOR EXERCISING SAFELY
>Warm up before exercise This helps to avoid muscle injuries by preparing your body for activity. Stretching is especially important in the morning, when muscles are less flexible and injuries more likely.

>Cool down after exercise Rather than stopping abruptly, do a few gentle stretches to avoid aches and pains later.

>Exercise with your limits Build up slowly, pace yourself and listen to your body; pain is a warning sign, so never ignore or try to work through it.

>Avoid sudden twisting movements Movements that cause you to sharply bend or twist your back can place excessive strain on your spine, especially if you are out of shape.

>Stay hydrated Water is important to maintain your core temperature during exercise and prevent fatigue and muscle cramps.

>Wear supportive shoes Cushioned, flexible soles help to absorb shocks and prevent joint injury.

Should you lend money to a friend?

Lend money to a friend, and you’re liable to lose both.

But when someone close hits you up for a loan, it can be tough to say no. The first consideration, say financial experts, is whether you can afford it. If you can’t afford to give the money away, you can’t afford to lend it. Next, get it in writing. For big amounts, a repayment schedule helps to legitimise the loan. “It protects the lender, and can make the recipient more comfortable, so they don’t see the loan as charity,” says Howard Levine, a chartered accountant. Should you charge interest? It’s not mandatory, and may have tax implications. But if your money would be earning 5% on a term deposit, charge the same 5%. Or structure it as a loan but forgo the interest on repayment. And if a pal defaults? For lenders, it’s not just the amount that can cause a rift, but the feeling that you’re being taken advantage of.

Levine advises borrowers not to avoid the topic: “Pay back what you can, even if it’s just a bit. If you can’t pay it back, be up-front. Don’t just ignore it.”

What is folic acid?
Folic acid (folinic acid, folacin, pteroylglutamic acid) is essential for the synthesis of adenine and thymine, two of the four nucleic acids that make up our genes, DNA and chromosomes. It is also required for the proper metabolism of the essential amino acid methionine that is found primarily in animal proteins. A folic acid deficiency has been clearly linked to an elevated level of homocysteine, a sulfur-containing amino acid. High homocysteine levels, in turn, have been linked to cardiovascular disease and a host of other undesirable conditions.

It is unfortunately, estimated that 88 per cent of all North Americans suffer from a folic acid deficiency. Obviously, the standard diet does not supply what we need. This has led to the fortification of cereals and other foodstuffs to try to ensure a minimum daily intake of 0.4 mg/day. Although beans and green vegetables like spinach and kale are good sources of folic acid, relatively few people eat lots of vegetables and cooking destroys most of the folate anyway. Realizing the poor availability from the diet many medical researchers now advocate daily supplementation with folic acid. Because folic acid needs the catalysts vitamins B12 and B6 to carry out its functions effectively it is usual to supplement with a combination of the three. Dosage recommendations for folic acid vary between 0.4 mg/day and 10 mg/day or more depending on the severity of the deficiency and the health problem to be overcome. The RDA for adults is now 0.4 mg/day and 0.6 mg/day for pregnant women. Recommendations for vitamin B12 generally range from 0.5 to 1.0 mg/day and for vitamin-B6 from 10 to 250 mg/day.

Supplementation with folic acid and vitamins B6 and B12 costs only pennies a day and yet it is indeed hard to imagine an investment that would pay greater dividends in protecting our health.

Open interviews to fill 20,000 vacancies in civil service

And the best part is the Human Resources Ministry may make it easier for applicants by adopting open interviews.Minister Datuk Dr S. Subramaniam said he had proposed their use to the government.

He brought this up at a meeting with Public Service Department director-general Tan Sri Ismail Adam, Public Services Commission chairman Tan Sri Jamaluddin Ahmad Damanhuri and Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Mohd Sidek Hassan last Friday.

He suggested open interviews so that anyone is free to attend the interviews and recruitment is done simultaneously.Previously, the recruitment process was done gradually but we need to fill jobs rapidly now

He also added that the move would benefit the 13,000 private sector workers retrenched since last October, including some 2,000 workers who opted for voluntary separation schemes.

On the claim by the Malay-sian Trades Union Congress that the number of retrenched workers in Penang may be higher than reported by the Labour Department, Subramaniam said it was untrue.

'Lonely Planet got it wrong'

Sabah push to promote its "mountain high to ocean deep" tourism attractions may have hit a snag following a warning posted on the online version of popular travel guide Lonely Planet.
Under its guide for Malaysia, Lonely Planet has issued a posting titled "Travel Warning: Don't Go to Eastern Sabah" due to the risk of being kidnapped by terrorists.

It describes the severity of the warning as a "high-level alert" as "the islands and coastal areas of eastern Sabah are considered very dangerous for foreigners, who are at high risk of being kidnapped by terrorist groups".

In an immediate reaction, Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Masidi Manjun said he would issue a formal statement to explain that eastern Sabah is safe for visitors.Actully this information is wrong and defies logic because recently a discussion with our Australian counterparts and they feel that Sabah is safe. There has been no case of kidnapping of foreigners since an incident eight years ago.

Sabah came into the spotlight in April 2000 when 21 people, including foreign tourists, were kidnapped from Sipadan island by the Abu Sayyaf group, which spirited them to southern Philippines. They were released unharmed within several months.

In September the same year, three Malaysians were abducted from Pulau Pandanan by the same rebel group and were subsequently freed.
Following the second kidnapping, the Malaysian government launched Ops Pasir and stationed soldiers and policemen at strategic islands and coastal areas from Kudat in the north to Tawau in the south-east of the state.

Sabah's east coast, which is not too far from the Philippines and Indonesian waters, is known for islands that offer top quality diving and a chance to watch turtles lay their eggs.It is also known for several cave systems which house ancient coffins, the Kinabatangan river which is a wildlife hotspot and the Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre in Sandakan.

SANTA MONICA, Calif. – Staff at the Santa Monica Pier Aquarium in California say the trickster who flooded their offices with sea water was armed. Eight-armed, to be exact.

They blame the soaking they discovered Tuesday morning on the aquarium's resident two-spotted octopus, a tiny female known for being curious and gregarious with visitors. The octopus apparently tugged on a valve and that allowed hundreds of gallons of water to overflow its tank.

Aquarium spokeswoman Randi Parent says no sea life was harmed by the flood, but the brand new, ecologically designed floors might be damaged by the water.

BABY ABUSE: Govt should set up day-care centres.

This is not the first time that babies have been sexually abused by persons under whose care these infants had been placed. In the good old days, mothers could depend on their husband's income alone to meet family expenses and be at home to take care of their children.

Nowadays, this option is available only to wives of high-income husbands (or wives who can manage household expenses with their husband's earnings alone). Depending on maids to look after babies without constant adult supervision is a risky and dangerous proposition, unless you have the good fortune to be blessed with thoroughly trustworthy, capable and reliable maids.

Not all business establishments are able to set up crèches for the children of their women employees. It is unreasonable to expect the proprietor of a small private sector establishment, say, a food stall, to set up a crèche for the babies of mothers working at his stall.

The onus is on the government to set up affordable (subsidised) crèches for low-income working mothers in areas that are easily accessible to them.Government-subsidised crèches with all female staff should be set up for working mothers who earn less than RM1,500 a month.

KUCHING, Sat:

A group of students in a secondary school in Dalat, a small rural town in the Mukah division of Sarawak, has taken bullying in school to new heights by posting their antics on YouTube, the video sharing website on the Internet.
The group's action received wide coverage in the local media today.

In the group's video clip lasting 3.05 minutes, the victim, said to be a Form Three student in the residential school, can be seen being kicked, punched and hit with a kettle by a few boys still in their school uniform at a dormitory in the school's hostel.

Although the victim is seen pleading for mercy, it is ignored and the boys continue to beat him savagely.

One of the media reports stated that the victim's family, from Kampung Penat, Oya, had lodged a report on the matter at the Dalat police station.
Sarawak education director Dr Julaihi Bujang said he had been informed of the case by State Police Commissioner Datuk Mohmad Salleh.

"It is a very serious matter. We will conduct a thorough probe and take the necessary action," Julaihi said when contacted in Perlis.

Malaysia to review taxes to help builders.

IN the wake of recent calls to support local products, I would like to say that I do have faith in some of them and even recommend my favourites to friends and relatives.
I believe we have coffee and tea that are better than some imported ones of similar prices. Our instant noodle is selling well overseas, too.

The latest I have tried is a spaghetti bolognaise preparation that tastes better than most of the spaghetti dishes I have had in well-established outlets for Western food.

my comment
i agreed with the opinion.for me, if everybody buy the products from others countries our products will be undemand.our economic also will be down.see, now our economy already down.if we still depends on others countries products will always down.

Najib: No plan for new universities

The deputy prime minister said that what was important was to focus on enhancing the capacity of existing universities either in terms of physical or intellectual development.

He was speaking to reporters after opening the Universiti Malaysia Pahang student convention and northern zone higher learning institution carnival today.

Also present were Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob and Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin.

Najib said at the moment there were 20 public and 21 private universities and "the number is just about enough." "Each state has a university," he added.

Najib said the Higher Education Ministry has targeted that 70 per cent of teaching staff of universities should comprise those with PhD qualification.

He also said that the government intends to accord a wider autonomy for universities particularly in carrying out research and development (R&D), curriculum development, appointments and budgeting.

"We have empowered the universities to make decisions and if they can translate this into actions and utilise it fully, the government will accord more powers to them.

"We want to see excellence; so they should be empowered to make their own decisions," he said.

Najib said that at the moment, universities still need to refer certain aspects to the ministry such as budgeting, R&D, appointments and curriculum development.

At the event, Najib also witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding involving Universiti Malaysia Pahang, Pasdec Holdings Bhd and Hicom Automative Manufacturers Sdn Bhd to collaborate in R&D, human capital development and property development within the university's campus in Kuala Pahang, Pekan.

my comment
i agreed with datuk najib because if we add the number of universities, the number of unemployee also increase.

Reel Time: Beauty not brainless
Meor Shariman

Q: What are you working on?

A: I've been helping out with the WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature) on their Earth Hour event. It is a global event where landmarks and buildings around the world will "go dark" for one hour on March 28, from 8pm.

Q: What is your biggest project for this year?

A: I am hoping to start my own business. It's always been my dream to be an entrepreneur.

Q: What do you do for leisure?

A: I watch films, surf the Net and update my blog at www.talentfactory.com.my. And I love to travel.

Q: What's your perfect holiday destination?

A: The Maldives! My favourite type of holiday is by the beach and it's the one place where you literally feel "like a drop in the ocean".

Q: Most beauties are without brains. Do you agree?

A: It's human nature to create stereotypes. I'm sure we're all guilty of judging people at some point or the other. I think sometimes people who are good-looking don't feel the pressure to work on their personalities as much because society already puts them on a pedestral for being attractive. Cindy Crawford has a great quote though: 'You could be the most beautiful girl in the world but if you have no story to tell, people will soon lose interest in you.'

Q: What are you reading now?

A: I am halfway through Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert and the March issue of Vanity Fair.

Q: Describe a perfect romantic day out?

A: Going for a yummy brunch and making a day trip somewhere followed by a nice romantic dinner and a good film

my comment
i think agreed with the statement" beauty not brainless". this is because many peoples nowdays think that to get job they should have cute face.for me, this is not true. to get jobs we should show our talents and skills.

last 2 weeks i got tonsil disease.so, i want to share with all of you about this disease.

The tonsils are areas of lymphoid tissue on either side of the throat. An infection of the tonsils is called tonsillitis. Most commonly, the term "tonsils" refers to the palatine tonsils that can be seen in the back of the throat.

Like other organs of the lymphatic system, the tonsils act as part of the immune system to help protect against infection. In particular, they are believed to be involved in helping fight off pharyngeal and upper respiratory tract infections.

after 1 week i become better, but doctor advice me don't take spicy foods.but now i can eat anything i want to eat.

Usually, a housewives, or housemaids always facing a problem that tend to related with dust.. as example, if u clean your room, or any unprotected surface, not more than 3 day,the dust existed again..

here are some tips to make our house dust-proof

1~ keep closet floors clear for easy cleaning.for stuff on the shelves, pack them nicely and tidy.Enclose the clothes that we always were such as coat, sweater. And also, keep closet floors clear, for easy to vacuum

2~ Upgrade your furnace filter. If we have heating or cooling system, it can help to control the amount of dust by filtering the air.

3~ rotate bedding weekly.Bed is major dust contributor. To minimize the fallout, wash the bed sheets and pillowcases weekly, for blanket and bedspread just put them outside angshake them.

4~ beat and shake are rugs. Carpet is the most biggest dust resevoir. Beat them outside, until the dust fully gone.. For allergy sufferre can stay long at rug area. Also, if we got more expenses, we can change the carpet into marble tile, or wood-look-like tile

love

hmmmm....
I guess most of this UMP students are in love. The proof is when we go to cafe, we can see many couples sitting dating. What is love actually?
Love is any of a number of emotions and experiences related to a sense of strong affection. The word love can refer to a variety of different feelings, states, and attitudes, ranging from generic pleasure ("I loved that meal") to intense interpersonal attraction ("I love my girlfriend"). This diversity of meanings, combined with the complexity of the feelings involved, makes love unusually difficult to consistently define, even compared to other emotional states.

As an abstract concept, love usually refers to a deep, ineffable feeling of tenderly caring for another person. Even this limited conception of love, however, encompasses a wealth of different feelings, from the passionate desire and intimacy of romantic love to the nonsexual emotional closeness of familial and Platonic love to the profound oneness or devotion of religious love. Love in its various forms acts as a major facilitator of interpersonal relationships and, owing to its central psychological importance, is one of the most common themes in the creative arts.

Taj Mahal

Hi again all...
Now wanted to talk about Taj Mahal.
I wonder no one doesn't know about one of this world's 7 wonders.
Whatever, I still wanted to talk about it...
Taj Mahal was built by a Muslim, Emperor Shah Jahan (died 1666 C.E.) in the memory of his dear wife and queen Mumtaz Mahal at Agra, India. Taj Mahal (meaning Crown Palace) is a Mausoleum that houses the grave of queen Mumtaz Mahal at the lower chamber. The grave of Shah Jahan was added to it later. The Taj is the most beautiful monument built entirely of white marble. Its stunning architectural beauty is beyond adequate description, particularly at dawn and sunset. The Taj seems to glow in the light of the full moon.
Taj Mahal was constructed over a period of twenty-two years, employing twenty thousand workers. It was completed in 1648 C.E. at a cost of 32 Million Rupees.

Emperor Shah Jahan himself described the Taj in these words:

Should guilty seek asylum here,
Like one pardoned, he becomes free from sin.
Should a sinner make his way to this mansion,
All his past sins are to be washed away.
The sight of this mansion creates sorrowing sighs;
And the sun and the moon shed tears from their eyes.
In this world this edifice has been made;
To display thereby the creator's glory.

Eventhough the poem is not as understandable, but I still can feel the love of that great emperor for his beloved wife whenever I see a picture of Taj Mahal.

Well, wanted to talk again about another wonder of world...
Here it is, the pyramid at Chichen Itza...
Chichén Itzá, the most famous Mayan temple city, served as the political and economic center of the Mayan civilization. Its various structures - the pyramid of Kukulkan, the Temple of Chac Mool, the Hall of the Thousand Pillars, and the Playing Field of the Prisoners – can still be seen today and are demonstrative of an extraordinary commitment to architectural space and composition. The pyramid itself was the last, and arguably the greatest, of all Mayan temples.
That's all from me now... Meet you again in another comment about another wonder of the world..

Christ Redeemer (1931) Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Yoooo.... Guys and girls, meet you again with my another wonder of the world. Now, it is the Christ Redeemer (1931) Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
This statue of Jesus stands some 38 meters tall, atop the Corcovado mountain overlooking Rio de Janeiro. Designed by Brazilian Heitor da Silva Costa and created by French sculptor Paul Landowski, it is one of the world’s best-known monuments. The statue took five years to construct and was inaugurated on October 12, 1931. It has become a symbol of the city and of the warmth of the Brazilian people, who receive visitors with open arms.
I would say that the best time to visit the Christ the Redeemer statue is late afternoon or evening when you can enjoy the splendor of the setting sun while taking in one of the most important landmarks in the world. I like the most the open arms which like welcomes everyone. I think the statue of Jesus Christ represents that Jesus guides and helps us everyday.
Okay guys, bubye for now. See you again.

Hi again, hope you guys had a nice weekend. Now wanted to continue about my another wonder of world. hehe...
This great amphitheater in the centre of Rome was built to give favors to successful legionnaires and to celebrate the glory of the Roman Empire. Its design concept still stands to this very day, and virtually every modern sports stadium some 2,000 years later still bears the irresistible imprint of the Colosseum's original design. Today, through films and history books, we are even more aware of the cruel fights and games that took place in this arena, all for the joy of the spectators.
The Colosseum was designed to hold 50,000 spectators, and it had approximately eighty entrances so crowds could arrive and leave easily and quickly. The plan is a vast ellipse, measuring externally 188 m x 156 m (615 ft x 510 ft), with the base of the building covering about 6 acres. Vaults span between eighty radial walls to support tiers of seating and for passageways and stairs. The facade of three tiers of arches and an attic story is about 48.5 m (158 ft) tall — roughly equivalent to a 12-15 story building. The Colosseum or Flavian Amphitheater was begun by Vespasian, inaugurated by Titus in 80 A.D. and completed by Domitian. Located on marshy land between the Esquiline and Caelian Hills, it was the first permanent amphitheater to be built in Rome. Its monumental size and grandeur as well as its practical and efficient organization for producing spectacles and controlling the large crowds make it one of the great architectural monuments achieved by the ancient Romans.
Hmmmm.... No words to say... So huge and so amazing... If got chance sure I'll be the 1st one to go there to see whether building is still strong or not... hehehe...

Hey guys and girls, i'm here again To talk about another wonder of the world.

The Great Wall of China was built to link existing fortifications into a united defense system and better keep invading Mongol tribes out of China. It is the largest man-made monument ever to have been built and it is disputed that it is the only one visible from space. Just like a gigantic dragon, the Great Wall winds up and down across deserts, grasslands, mountains and plateaus, stretching approximately 6,700 kilometers (4,163 miles) from east to west of China. With a history of more than 2000 years, some of the sections of the great wall are now in ruins or even entirely disappeared.

However, it is still one of the most appealing attractions all around the world owing to its architectural grandeur and historical significance. Many thousands of people must have given their lives to build this colossal construction. The mystery of the construction of the wall is amazing. The construction of the Great Wall, drew heavily on the local resources for construction materials, was carried out in line with the local conditions under the management of contract and responsibility system. A great army of manpower, composed of soldiers, prisoners, and local people, built the wall. The construction result demonstrates the manifestation of the wisdom and tenacity of the Chinese people.

Yes, it is the Great Wall of China. I wonder how many people should have give their life to bild that great great wall. Still wondering how the people of ancient China live in such a horror, I mean how they could obey so much to their king. In a way, it gives a oppurtunity to the world to see a grand architecture and a historical significance.

The ruins of Machu Picchu, rediscovered in 1911 by Yale archaeologist Hiram Bingham, are one of the most beautiful and enigmatic ancient sites in the world. While the Inca people certainly used the Andean mountain top (9060 feet elevation), erecting many hundreds of stone structures from the early 1400's, legends and myths indicate that Machu Picchu (meaning 'Old Peak' in the Quechua language) was revered as a sacred place from a far earlier time. Whatever its origins, the Inca turned the site into a small (5 square miles) but extraordinary city. Invisible from below and completely self-contained, surrounded by agricultural terraces sufficient to feed the population, and watered by natural springs, Machu Picchu seems to have been utilized by the Inca as a secret ceremonial city. Two thousand feet above the rumbling Urubamba river, the cloud shrouded ruins have palaces, baths, temples, storage rooms and some 150 houses, all in a remarkable state of preservation. These structures, carved from the gray granite of the mountain top are wonders of both architectural and aesthetic genius. Many of the building blocks weigh 50 tons or more yet are so precisely sculpted and fitted together with such exactitude that the mortarless joints will not permit the insertion of even a thin knife blade. Little is known of the social or religious use of the site during Inca times. The skeletal remains of ten females to one male had led to the casual assumption that the site may have been a sanctuary for the training of priestesses and /or brides for the Inca nobility. However, subsequent osteological examination of the bones revealed an equal number of male bones, thereby indicating that Machu Picchu was not exclusively a temple or dwelling place of women.

Other than any, this wonder of world amazed me on the first sight. Maybe because I like cool places... Hearing the name also makes me laugh. What a name? HEHE... Don't have any idea about it because never heard about it before.. Now is the first time.. Even the real purpose of building this place is still not discovered but the skeletal remains there makes me scared.... ooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.........

What is friendship??

Based on the Stanford Encyclopedia of Phylosophy, Friendship can be defines as a distinctively personal relationship that is grounded in a concern on the part of each friend for the welfare of the other, for the other's sake, and that involves some degree of intimacy. As such, friendship is undoubtedly central to our lives, in part because the special concern we have for our friends must have a place within a broader set of concerns, including moral concerns, and in part because our friends can help shape who we are as persons. Given this centrality, important questions arise concerning the justification of friendship and, in this context, whether it is permissible to “trade up” when someone new comes along, as well as concerning the possibility of reconciling the demands of friendship with the demands of morality in cases in which the two seem to conflict.

-total energy coming from the sun varies slightly, earth's temperature has risen dramatically

-tiny particles pumped into atmosphere by erupting volcanoes & industrial pollution reflect some of the sun's energy back to space, making things cooler

Do you know about NIAGARA FALLS?
Why Niagara Falls is special..

It is one of the mightiest falls on earth. Although Niagara Falls is smaller and less breathtaking than Iguazu Falls in South America and Victoria Falls in Africa, it is awe-inspiring in its own right.
Niagara Falls
is the collective
name of three separate nearby falls
Horseshoe Falls
It is by far the most spectacular of the three falls. Its shape gives it its name (see photo). Horseshoe Falls is also known as Canadian Falls because it is situated entirely on the Canadian side.
American Falls
It's less grand than Horseshoe Falls because nine times less water flows over it. Also, its brink is linear, not curved, thus not as visually striking.
Bridal Veil Falls
These falls are tinier and less remarkable than the Horseshoe and American Falls. Like the latter, it's on the American side.

Sightseeing
There is no shortage of organized Niagara Falls tourist attractions. Many are not worth the time or money. These are some of the worthy attractions:
*Maid of the Mist
For a close look at the falls, take the 15 minute Maid of the Mist tour boat ride. If you look hard, you will see the boat in the photo above. Boats leave frequently from both the Canadian and American sides. You disembark where you embarked.
*Journey Behind the Falls
This walking tour takes you behind the plunging Horseshoe Falls. It literally gives you an insider's perspective.
*Illumination of the Falls
Niagara Falls on both sides of the border are lit at night. The colors change during the presentation.
*Observation tours
Both the Canadian and American sides have tall observation towers that provide bird's eye views of the Niagara Falls.
*IMAX
The IMAX theatre presents an awesome yet educational cinematic perspective of Niagara Falls on a super-sized screen.
Note: I did not include the Cavern in the Wind tour because the somewhat similar Journey Behind the Falls tour is much more interesting.

When to visit Niagara Falls
The time of the year makes a big difference.

*Summer - Positive
Summer is best in terms of water fall strength. The greater the volume, the more spectacular the viewing experience.
*Summer - Negative
Unfortunately, summer is the season when the lion's share of the 15 million annual visitors come. Crowds can be overwhelming and line waits unbearable.
*Winter
Winter is the least desirable time to visit. It can be bitterly cold, a major factor considering that watching the falls is primarily an outdoor standing activity. Moreover, in deep winter, layers of ice can hide the falling water.
*Compromises
The two best compromise times are early May and late September.

Honeymoons
Niagara Falls is famous as a honeymoon destination for amorous Americans and canoodling Canadians.
Best side for hotels
Book a hotel on the Canadian side. It offers better views of the falls.

Time of day
During the peak tourist periods, avoid long lines by scheduling your visits to the popular attractions in the morning (before 10:30 a.m.) or late afternoon (after 4:00 p.m.). And, if possible, avoid weekends.

Less majestic than before
Niagara Falls was once grander. Since the middle of the last century, about half of the upstream Niagara River water is diverted for use by two hydroelectric plants. That water bypasses Niagara Falls by being channeled underground directly into the Niagara River downstream of Niagara Falls.

Daredevils
Niagara Falls is renowned for daredevil exploits. Over the past 100 years, 15 people have gone over the falls for fame or fortune in or on a device like a barrel, kayak or ski jet. Scorecard: 10 survived, 5 died.

Lucky kid
In 1960, a seven-year-old boy accidentally went over the falls. Happily, he lived.

TOP 10 UNHEALTHY HABITS TO BREAK

Everybody has bad habits - nail biting, knuckle cracking, teeth picking in public - all these things are habits that we are unconscious of. We cannot get rid of these bad habits very easily. While some of these habits can be totally harmless, some can pose serious health risks preventing us from living a healthy lifestyle. Here are ten bad habits that can actually cost you more than just bitten nail clippings.

Unhealthy habit 1 - Sleeping less

Fatigue is a feeling associate with lack of sleep. Being tired most of the time causes you to eat indiscriminately, drive recklessly, and be very irritable even in mild situations. Get at least eight hours of sleep per night.

Unhealthy habit 2 - Too much sugar

A high glycemic index is associated with foods that contain lots of sugar. This will quickly increase your blood sugar and give you quick energy bursts. This however, will not last for long, and when the sugar is gone, you will feel a debilitating exhaustion. Eat healthy snacks like fiber rich crackers or fruit.

Unhealthy habit 3 - Being a worry wart

Worrying about something that we cannot do something about will only do us more damage than good. If we have a problem, try to solve it with a proactive stance; if it can’t be solved, simply forget about it, after all, you can’t do anything about it anyway.

Unhealthy habit 4 - Exercising less

Many health conditions like heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and arthritis are all linked to a sedentary lifestyle. Your body is made to move and so get moving to avoid these health conditions while increasing your energy level and reducing stress. At least thirty minutes of physical activity per day will do the job. Brisk walking can be enough for most people who have no time for, or prefer to avoid the gym.

Unhealthy habit 5 - Forgetting the floss

Food particles in between your teeth don’t only damage your teeth, but also your gums. Gum infections can lead to heart disease, so floss at least once a day and stay away from heart disease.

Unhealthy habit 6 - Fizzy soft drinks

14% of an average American adult’s calorie and energy intake comes from sodas. This can be very disturbing especially for those watching their sugar levels and their weight. Go for the healthy alternative - water or low fat milk, or even flavored waters if you insist on getting that soda buzz.

Unhealthy habit 7 - Hurried meals

Eating in a hurry can cause poor digestion and overeating. Enjoy meal time, sit at the table, relax, listen to some music, and mind your food - mind your body too, it will tell you when you are already full.

Unhealthy habit 8 - Overtime work

Do not live to work, work to live. The figures of overworked Americans have doubled in the past 20 years. Keep your work at the workplace, and have some extra quality time for yourself and your family.

Unhealthy habit 9 - Chowing down on food that are made of stuff with names that sound like hieroglyphics

Check the labels of the food you eat. If you notice that the item you have has a long list of ingredients that sound like they came from a post-graduate chemistry lecture, put that item down. Eat more fresh and natural foods.

Unhealthy habit 10 - Smoking

Cigarette smoking equals death. Half a million Americans die each year from smoking-related health conditions. Other than just the health risks, smoking can also decrease your lung capacity and prevent you from doing healthy activities like biking, trekking, jogging, and walking. Find some peer or professional support and get rid of this bad habit.

Vitamin E: Your Free Radical Destroyer

There is a misconception that we should stay away from fat; this misconception often keeps us from getting the vitamin E that we need. This vitamin, which is found in fatty foods like nuts, seeds, and oils, is a very good antioxidant. It works by destroying free radicals which are unstable oxygen molecules that result from normal metabolism and other things like exposure to air pollution, cigarette smoke, and strong UV rays. The desire to loose weight keeps people from eating healthy high-fat foods, and hence, keeps people away from vitamin E. Vitamin E can be very easy to acquire - an ounce of sunflower seeds supplies most
(2/3) of an adults daily need for the vitamin, or an ounce of almonds provides for half of this need.
Being a complex nutrient, there are 8 kinds of vitamin E, alpha-tocopherol vitamin E (AT) being the most useful of these types. Anybody above the age of 19 requires 15 milligrams of AT every day.

Here are ways to get the Vitamin E that you need:

-Make sunflower seeds and almonds a part of your snack pack or you may also add these to salads, steamed vegetables, and cooked whole grains.
-Indulge in a nut-butter spread over some whole grain bread.
-When cooking, replace your corn or vegetable oil with sunflower or safflower oil.
-Make a rich delicious smoothie with low fat milk, honey, and an ounce of toasted, slivered almonds, all incorporated together in a blender.
-Go for vitamin E fortified, ready to eat, whole grain cereals.

Vitamin E is not the only nutrient that you can get from the above foods, whole grains also supply fiber, sunflower seeds contain magnesium and fiber, and milk is a rich source of calcium.

Starfish or known as sea stars are not really fish despite the name been given to them. These are echinoderms, which are found abundant in the deep blue seas and shallow waters as well. The characteristic feature of the starfish is the 5 (or even more) arms. The surface of these arms is often spiky in appearance.

If you have ever encountered a starfish and turned it over, you will find projections on the underside. These are known as tube feet, which functions to able the starfish to move around the ocean floor and to open up a scallop or clam.

An interesting fact about the starfish is that it has two stomachs. The cardiac stomach can help the starfish to engulf food outside its body. The starfish have microscopic eyes at the end of each arm to enable the starfish to view movement and differentiate between light and dark.

These interesting facts about starfish tell us quite a story about the kind of life that exists beneath the sea! From the complex, to the most beautiful, the life beneath the sea has a completely new world in store for us.

Most people think of dinosaur as big, ferocious and extinct reptiles. That's largely true, but there are some misconceptions. I have known about this after made some research about the history of dinosaur.

The word dinosaur, which means "terrible lizard," was coined in 1842, but now we know that dinosaurs aren't lizards, although they share a common ancestor. Dinosaurs were the largest land animals of all time, but a great number of dinosaurs were smaller.

Dinosaurs as a group got bigger over time until an extinction event 65 million years ago wiped out all but bird-like dinosaurs. Scientists don't agree entirely on what happened, but the extinction likely was a double or triple whammy involving an asteroid impact, choking chemicals from erupting volcanoes, climate change and possibly other factors.

Yet only the big, classic dinosaurs are extinct. Birds are living dinosaurs, most experts believe. Fossils from the past ten years show that some of the more advanced dinosaurs had feathers or feather-like body covering, but many of them didn't fly and probably didn't even glide. Instead, feathers, rather than being an adaptation for flight, helped these bird-like non-birds stay warm as juveniles.

Bulimia, also called bulimia nervosa, is a psychological eating disorder. Bulimia is characterized by episodes of binge-eating followed by inappropriate methods of weight control.
People with bulimia can look perfectly normal. Most of them are of normal weight, and some may be overweight. Women with bulimia tend to be high achievers.
There is currently no definite known cause of bulimia. Researchers believe it begins with dissatisfaction of the person's body and extreme concern with body size and shape. Usually individuals suffering from bulimia have low self-esteem, feelings of helplessness and a fear of becoming fat
If you have a family member that with an eating disorder, your family member needs a lot of support. Suggest that your family member see an eating disorder expert.

We all know what anger is, and we've all felt it. Anger is a completely normal, usually healthy, human emotion. But when it gets out of control it can lead to problems like problems at work, personal relationships, and in the overall quality of your life. It can make you feel as though you're at the mercy of an unpredictable and powerful emotion. This tip is meant to help you understand and control anger.

Relaxation~ Simple relaxation tools, such as deep breathing and relaxing imagery, can help calm down angry feelings. There are books and courses that can teach you relaxation techniques, and once you learn the techniques, you can call upon them in any situation.

Problem Solving~ Make a plan, and check your progress along the way. Resolve to give it your best, but also not to punish yourself if an answer doesn't come right away. If you can approach it with your best intentions and efforts and make a serious attempt to face it head-on, you will be less likely to lose patience and fall into all-or-nothing thinking, even if the problem does not get solved right away.

Better Communication~ It's natural to get defensive when you're criticized, but don't fight back. Instead, listen to what's underlying the words: the message that this person might feel neglected and unloved. It may take a lot of patient questioning on your part, and it may require some breathing space, but don't let your anger—or a partner's—let a discussion spin out of control. Keeping your cool can keep the situation from becoming a disastrous one.

Have you ever wonder how soccer / football games get into our life? When and where is the origin of this game from? Why is it so many peoples in the world crazy about this game? Almost every culture has reference to the history of soccer. The origin of football / soccer can be found in every corner of geography and history. The Chinese, Japanese, Italian, Ancient Greek, Persian, Viking, and many more played a ball game long before our era.
But it was in England that soccer / football really begin to take shape. It all started in 1863 in England, when two football association (association football and rugby football) split off on their different course. Therefore, the first Football Association was founded in England.
After the English Football Association, the next oldest are the Scottish FA (1873), the FA of Wales (1875) and the Irish FA (1880). Strictly speaking, at the time of the first international match, England had no other partner association against which to play. When Scotland played England in Glasgow on 30 November 1872, the Scottish FA did not even exist - it was not founded for another three months. The team England played that day was actually the oldest Scottish club team, Queen's Park.
International matches were being staged in Great Britain before football had hardly been heard of in Europe. The first was played in 1872 and was contested by England and Scotland. This sudden boom of organized football accompanied by staggering crowds of spectators brought with it certain problems with which other countries were not confronted until much later on.
This international football community grew steadily, although it sometimes met with obstacles and setbacks. In 1912, 21 national associations were already affiliated to the Federation International de Football Association (FIFA). By 1925, the number had increased to 36, in 1930 - the year of the first World Cup - it was 41, in 1938, 51 and in 1950, after the interval caused by the Second World War, the number had reached 73. At present, after the 2000 Ordinary FIFA Congress, FIFA has 204 members in every part of the world.

My advice to all my friends as a future Chemical Engineers:

1. Never stop learning

It’s a great feeling to learn and discover new things. Learning while studying is differs from learning while working. That’s why practical industrial (LI) experience is important. Keep on appreciating any formal or informal knowledge you gained.

2. Be a member of Chemical
Engineering association

Set a target to become a professional engineer. Establish and build your career.

3. Get good academic results

Aim for the best. Don’t do last minute study for examinations. With great academic result, chances of you getting employed are huge. Established organizations enter the universities and colleges in search for high education achievers. Also, a good academic background gives you more choices.

4. Establish your interpersonal skills communication skill

Don’t take this lightly. Good academic results are useless if you cannot complement them with equally well communication and interpersonal skills. Your performance during the interview will tell you a lot about how you will perform during the interview. As such, groom yourself with all the necessary skills that will allow you to do a good job with your employer.

HOW TO STUDY SMART NOT STUDY HARD

The educational system has made it the student’s responsibility to learn his or her own way of learning. For some student’s this becomes a difficult and challenging task because they take the wrong path of learning. These students may feel they are studying efficiently when they actually are not. Below is step how to study smart and not hard.

1)SIT IN FRONT OF THE CLASS
Student who sit in front of the classroom are more simulated and get more of a lecture class than those who sit in the back. This is because you are more likely to pay attention in class if you feel your instructor is only talking to you. This also reduces your chances of day dreaming and falling asleep, or being disrupted by some other student.

2)BE A GOOD LISTENER
Lectures especially in large classes tend to be boring for students. Students will often look around the room, daydream or even take a nap. This is the negative attitude some students have adopted. A good way to prevent the boredom is to develop a positive attitude. Sit up straight and concentrate on what the instructor is saying. Remind yourself that listening and taking good notes will benefit you during the examination.

3)BECOME A BETTER NOTE TAKER
Most students take lecture notes but they have trouble selecting what is and isn't important. Some instructors will give their students a detailed outline of what they are going to say but some do not. So an approach you can take is understand the organization of the lecture early in the year or semester.

IS YOUR FRIEND CUTTING HERSELF?

Your bestie may be engaging in self-harm if she is always sporting cuts, bruises, scars of burns which she explains away with very bogus excuses. To help her:
-Explain your concerns and tell her you’re there if she wants to talk.
-Offer to help find her a counsellor and drive her to the session.
-Direct her to good websites about self-harm on the internet.
-Don’t nag or ask her to promise not to do it.This will encourage her to feel guilty and become more secretive about her cutting.

How to manage your money?

It's advisable to manage your money while at university and get in the habit of doing this early on.
To start off it's a good idea to set yourself a budget. We have put together a simple budget planner to give you a better idea of your income and expenditure, and ultimately your shortfall or surplus, whilst you are at university. You can also do some calculations by using our online budget calculator. Alternatively you could visit the Student Money Budget Planner .
We also have a range of factsheets providing information from debt collectors to credit rating.
When you have an idea of typical costs, you can begin to work out your own personal budget to ensure you can pay for the essentials without worrying.
You should be realistic about your spending patterns and avoid underestimating. Don't forget to include occasional payments such as haircuts, it may even help to write things down in a "spending diary" if you are unsure as to where your money goes each week.
If you want to prevent unmanageable debt, you must spend more time balancing your books. You will then have a much more accurate picture of your finances and it could highlight areas where cutbacks could easily be made.
Once you have all the funding you can get and you still feel your finances are getting the better of you or you need help with your budgeting, please come and see either our Debt Adviser or Student Funding Advice team.

Balloon flight....

Nowadays, balloon flight are usually use for pleasure or sport. It's use to collect information about weather and to carry out scientific experiments or collect data from up in the atmosphere.

Balloon in the air works the same way as ships float in the water. In order to let the balloon float, it need to be filled with gas that lighter than its surrounding air.Firstly, the scientist used to filled it with hydrogen, but has disadvantage which is easy to burn. So, after some while, the scientist use to try out other gas, helium, and it works! This is because helium is the lightest gas.

Balloon made of nylon and it can be build until as large as a bungalow when it is inflated. The basket hangs under the balloon made from wire or ropes is use to carry crew or passenger. But, before flying the balloon, several things need to be taken note, which are, the height, direction and fuel level.

The gas burner is fixed to the basket's frame and used in short burst to heat the air, to make the balloon rise and then keep it at the chosen height.

Hydroquinone....
Number ONE The Skin Bleaching Agent

Hydroquinone is one of the most popular skin bleaching agents. It is widely used for removing skin spots, melasma, scar colors, etc.

Hydroquinone is a bleaching agent, which reduces the production of melanin (skin color pigment) and increases its breakdown.

With nowadays technology Hydroquinone can be pack as liquid or creame that function to stop further production of melanin (the skin color pigment) and break down the existing excess melanin, on the spot to be treated. Melanin is the pigment that gives color to skin. Once melanin is reduced the unneeded color goes away.

Hydroquinone is mainly used to remove hyper-pigmentation caused by melasma/cholasma, age spots, and acne scars etc. It is well tolerated by most people, but in some cases it may cause allergic and contact dermatitis.

Hydroquinone is approved in the USA for bleaching, but not in Europe and some other countries because of concerns regarding fetal development and other reasons.

Hydroquinone reduces the pigmentation on spots caused by melasma/cholasma, age spots, acne scars and freckles by topical application. It generally gives results in a month of use.

When human hungry, there will be a call from a stomach.then, we eat and our stomach will do the digestion process.

Perfect digestion can be maintained only by careful observation of health standards with regard to eating habits.

Eating habits play big roles in human body energy consumed process.Quality and quantity of food taken influence a lot in the hygiene of digestion in human stomach.

On the subject of hygiene of digestion, there

1) Do not eat to fast because the digestion will be incomplete. We need to munch our food into smaller pieces.

2)Don't drink while eating. It will disturb the activity of digestion in human body.

3)Take food based on age and occupation of an individual.Adults might need more nutrient and energy than kids or infants.

4) Don't take too many types of dishes or food in a time. It is a bothersome to human assimilation process

5) Take cereal type of food to, for heart disease prevention.

6) after finished an activity or exercise, let your body rest first, in order for your body to be ready to do other process that produce energy.

7)Sleeping after eating is unacceptable by nutrition. It leads to disorganize of assimilation progress.

so,friends.. to have a good health and digestion process, do practice above tips. Hence, you can do anything perfectly.

Hi friends!
Girls, would you girls want to know other method on how to cook rice.....
so,here some tips for you girls to try...

Different Ways Of Cooking Rice

The rice should be washed. A good way is to put in a colander in a large pot of water.

Rub the rice well with the hands, lift strainer entry and exit of water, and change the water until clear, then drain. In this way, the sand is deposited in water, rice and let it completely.

The best method of cooking rice, it is steamed. If cooked with water, it loses some of its already small percentage of nitrogenous elements.

It requires much less time to cook than other cereals. Like all dry grains and seeds, rice swells in the kitchen several times its original volume. During cooking, each grain of rice should be separate and distinct, yet perfectly tender.

1)STEAMED RICE
->Soak the rice in a cup and
a quarter cup of water for an
hour, then add a cup of milk

->place in a steam boiler or an
object through a steam boiler
and steam of boiling water for
one hour.

->stir the rice with a fork
occasionally, for ten or
fifteen minutes.

2)BOILED RICE(japanese method).
->Thoroughly clean the rice by
washing in several waters, and
soak overnight.

->In the morning, drain and put
to cook in an equal amount of
boiling water, one quart of
water to a pint of rice.

->For cooking, a casserole with
lid appropriate should be
used. Heat water to a boil,
add rice, and after stirring,
put on the cover, which is not
new to be removed during
cooking.

->First, as the water boils,
steam puff freely under the
cover, but when the water has
almost disappeared, which is
eight to ten minutes,
depending on the age and
quality of rice, only a slight
suggestion steam will be
observed, and

->the cooker should be removed
from the fire somewhere in the
series, which does not burn,
to swell and dry for fifteen
or twenty minutes.

->Which rice is cooked under the
normal procedure requires two
quarters of boiling water for
a cup of rice. It should be
boiled rapidly until tender,
then drained at once, in an
oven to dry.

->Collect and lifted slightly
with a fork from time to time
it will be dry and scaly. Care
must be taken, however, not to
mix the grains of rice.

3)RICE WITH FIG SAUCE
->Steam from a cup of rice as
described above, and when
you're done, serve with a fig
sauce. Dish a spoonful of the
fig sauce with each dish of
rice and serve with lots of
cream.

->Rice in that requires no sugar
for the sauce, and a healthy
breakfast dish.

4)ORANGED RICE
->Wash rice and steam. Prepare
some oranges by separating
into sections and each section
cut in half, remove seeds and
white.

->Sprinkle the oranges with a
little sugar and let stand
while the rice is cooking.

->Serve a portion of the orange
on each Saucerful of rice.

5)RICE WITH RAISINS
->Wash one cup of rice, soak and
cook according to the
instructions for the rice to
steam.

->After the rice has begun to
swell, but before it has
softened, stir lightly with a
fork for a cup of raisins.

->Serve with cream.

7)RICE WITH PEACHES
->Steamed rice and when done,
serve with whipped cream and
ripe peaches or a wall and
sliced on each plate.

8)OR RICE
->Spread a cup of rice in a box
of baking and put in a hot
oven to brown.

->You will need to be awakened
frequently to prevent burning
and to ensure a uniform
color.

->Each rice kernel, when
sufficiently browned, should
be of a yellowish brown, the
color of ripe wheat.

->Steam the same as for the
targeting of rice, using only
two cups of water for every
cup of golden rice, and
omitting the preliminary
soaking.

->When properly cooked, each
kernel is removed, dry and
chalky. Rice prepared in this
way is more palatable,
perhaps, that cooking
without browning.

Cereals And Their Preparations

Cereal is the name given to the seed used as food (wheat, rye, oats, barley, maize, rice, etc.) that are produced by plants belonging to the vast order known as the grass family. They are used for food both in the unground state and in various forms of plant products.

The grains are highly nutritious, and when well prepared, easy to digest food. They each contain one or more elements of nitrogen, gluten, albumin, casein and fibrin, together with starch, dextrin, sugar and fat, and also mineral elements and wood or cellulose.

The combination of the nutritional value of food grain is nearly three times that of beef, lamb or poultry.

In so far as their own food almost perfect, and when well prepared, very tasty and easy to digest, is a matter of surprise that they are not more widely used, but only one family in fifty, use grains, except in the form of flour, or an occasional dish of rice or oatmeal.

This use of grains is too small to adequately represent their value as an article of food. Variety in the use of grains is as necessary as in the use of material from other foods, and the grain of many preparations on the market, it is very possible that this type of food, an article staple foods, if they wish, all without becoming monotonous.

In ancient times, the seeds were heavily as a staple food and is authenticated by history that the highest condition of man has always been associated with wheat-consuming countries.

The ancient Spartans, whose powers of endurance are proverbial, were fed a grain and the Roman soldiers who under Caesar conquered the world, each carrying a bag of dry grain in his pocket that his ration daily.

Other nationalities at the present time make extensive use of different grains. The rice used in some legume seeds, is the basic article of food for a large part of the human race.

Rice, unlike other grains, is deficient in the nitrogenous elements, and therefore its use should be complemented by other articles containing an excess of nitrogenous matter. For this reason, no doubt, that the Chinese eat peas and beans under rice.

They often encounter people who say they can not use the grains, which do not agree with them. With all due respect to the opinions of those people, we can say that often the difficulty lies in the fact that grain was not properly cooked, not eaten, or poorly together.

A grain, simply because it is a grain, is in no way guarantee that faithfully fulfill its mission, less well treated. Like many other good thing, if they are in bad company, it could create damage, and in many cases, the root of all problems can be found in the excess sugar that is used with the grain.

The sugar is not needed with grains to increase their nutritional value. Starch, which constitutes a large part of their food elements must itself be converted into sugar by the digestive system before assimilation, hence the addition of sugar cane that increasing the load on the digestive organs, from the palate.

Asians, who subsist largely on rice, sugar not to use, and why should it be considered necessary for the enjoyment of wheat, rye, oats, barley and other cereals, more than for our enjoyment of bread or other objects made from these same grains? Undoubtedly, the use of grains would be more universal if it is served with less or no sugar.

Continued use of grains of sugar tend to Cloys appetite, and the constant use of cake or sweet bread in place of bread would be normal.

Many nice, sweet cream or fruit juice, is a sufficient dressing, and there are few people who, after a short trial has not learned to enjoy the grains without sugar, and then think about the time of the distribution to give up meals with beads.

Even when served without sugar, grains may not prove quite healthy unless they are properly eaten. Why are soft and the cooking process in this account do not chew the break, the first process of digestion or Salivate often overlooked.

But it must be remembered that grains are largely composed of starch and must be mixed with saliva, or remain undigested in the stomach, the gastric juice only digests the nitrogenous elements. It is therefore necessary to eat the hard seeds of some foods.

Whole wheat waffle, toasted or to make them crispy and tender, toasted bread, and unfermented Zwieback are excellent for this purpose. Break two or three leaves into small pieces instead of each dish before pouring on the cream.

Thus, a hard piece of May is the meal taken with each spoonful of beans. The combination of foods thus secured, it is more pleasant. This method is especially beneficial for the grain to serve children who are to enable them to swallow food without chewing.

Good evening. I want to share my opinion about nuclear energy and weapon and the danger it is imposing now to the world. As we are aware the nuclear research is being done by countries such as United States, North Korea, France and so on. In my oinion this nuclear researches should not be carried out because it creates a big danger to the world. For example if a country has well developed their nuclear weapon they tend to have the highest security level and therefore they will be the most powerful nation in the world. Thus they will have an upper hand and tend to monopoly everything such as oil, gas, and be a threat to the nations that does not comply them. Therefore it would be wise if these nuclear researches are stopped in my opinion. Thank you for reading my comment.

Good day everyone. The problem about abortion that is on the rise nowadays. In my opinion a woman should be allowed to carry out abortion but with certain conditions. This is because a woman who is pregnant without any ensurity of money or woman who are not fit medically or woman are prostitutes cannot guarantee a good future for the baby. In fact the baby will be abandoned or left to die once the baby is born. Therefore it will be more wiser if in this cases abortion are allowed. But this should no be an upper hand to the woman herself. The government should impose a law whereby all medical personals should carry put a thorough check before perfoming this abortion and in the case whereby the woman cannot prove her circumstances then she should bne charged on court for abandoning human rights of the baby and herself. A person who is caught attempting suicide are charged in court so it is not justified for a person who are medically in the unconscious state to be put to death. Although the person has wrote a living will that states if they become vegetable or are in the Persistent Vegetative State, they do not want life support but it is unjustified in case that person suddenly change their mind but did not have enough time to change their will. This is even difficult in the case where that person cannot speak their heart out because they are unconscious. The case of euthanasia is even unjustified i the cases where they want to use the organs of the patients who are in the Persistent Vegetative State or coma state. Therefore it is not right to use medical terms to kill someone. Thank you for reading my comment.

Good day everyone. In this part I would like to share my opinion about sex education and whether it should be carried out. In my opinion sex education should be carried out by the means of the programme 'Abstinence Only Sex Education' whereby the school children are given exposure of safe sex and the effects of teenage pregnancy so that they will be aware of the consequences. Many teenagers are unaware about what is safe sex or whether it is allowed in the religion. Therefore by this programme they get an exposure to the outside world and this can reduce the number of teenage abortions and also the cases whereby the babies are ditched. It is essential for this sex education now especially since the number of AIDS patient is on the rise. Thank you for reading my comment.

Good day everyone. Many of us face a similar problem that is dandruff. Dandruff are dead skin cells or dirt on the scalp that has not been sloughed off and over time, starts accumulating into layers. Many of the anti-dandruff shampoos in the market don’t work. If the root of the problem can be found then the problem can be solved easily. Some of the causes for dandruff are lack of sleep, working overtime, stressful lifestyle especially for students like us who face exam tensions, lack of proper nutrients, inappropriate hair care products, extremely spicy food and many more. If all these causes can be avoided then, the dandruff problem can be reduced. Other methods to remove dandruff are by applying lime juice to the scalp, massaging the scalp with almond oil and olive oil before washing the hair, boiling neem leaf and using the water after filter to rinse the hair. Aloe vera is also good to reduce dandruff. Therefore these are some of the methods that can be used to reduce dandruff problems. Thank you for reading my comment.

Good day everyone. I would like to share my opinion about marriage and divorce. Marriages are normally the foundation of a stable family whereby children can have the best possible way to start life. Marriage is also the best way to uphold a healthy and rational view of what loving relationships are about. Loving relationships are about working together for the betterment of the family, mutual respect, and support over a long period and not just about ‘falling in love, sex, and romance’. Divorce only comes into life when a marriage fails. Normally couple who divorce due to the emotions might want to re-marry but circumstances and ego would not give space for that to happen. Therefore once a couple is married, they should try to preserve their wedding for their family, themselves, and their children because in a scarification lies true love.
