APPLICATION OF LINEAR MOTOR

1. Maglev Transport
Maglev, or magnetic levitation, is a system of transportation that suspends, guides and propels vehicles, predominantly trains, using levitation from a very large number of magnets for lift and propulsion. This method has the potential to be faster, quieter and smoother than wheeled mass transit systems. The technology has the potential to exceed 4000 mph (6437 km/h) if deployed in an evacuated tunnel. If not deployed in an evacuated tube the power needed for levitation is usually not a particularly large percentage and most of the power needed is used to overcome air drag, as with any other high speed train.
The highest recorded speed of a maglev train is 581 km/h (361 mph), achieved in Japan in 2003, 6 km/h faster than the conventional TGV speed record. This is slower than aircraft, since aircraft can fly at far higher altitude where air drag is lower and thus high speeds are more readily attained

2. Transrapid
Transrapid is a German high-speed monorail train using magnetic levitation. Based on a patent from 1934, planning of the Transrapid system started in 1969. The test facility for the system in Emsland, Germany was completed in 1987. In 1991 the technical readiness for application was approved by the Deutsche Bundesbahn in cooperation with renowned universities. In 2004, the first commercial implementation was completed. The Shanghai Maglev Train connects the rapid transit network 30.5 km (19.0 mi) to the Shanghai Pudong International Airport. The Transrapid system has not yet been deployed on a long-distance intercity line.
The system is developed and marketed by Transrapid International, a joint venture of Siemens AG and ThyssenKrupp AG. Critical voices, such as Sir Rod Eddington [1] refer to recent developments of railway and other competing technologies and draw parallels between Transrapid and previous high technology hypes without broad market impact outside niche applications.

3. Mass driver
Method of non-rocket spacelaunch that use linear motor to accelerate loads up to high speeds.

4. Coilgun
Linear electric motor which is used as projectile accelerator that consist of one or more electromagnetic coils where it accelerate to high velocity.

LIVE A HAPPY LIFE....

What does it means?
-Live happy la
-Always being in good condition
-Much money to spend, beautiful family, healthy body

These are the common answers you can find if you came across such a question.
For me a happy life is far beyond those 'material' requisites. It engulfes the spirit with loving kindness and care for each created beings.
Having being made from the same life stock surely we would share some common criteria.
Most of us believe in God, care for each other and love.

Some has very high level of care towards others. When asked they will simply say it makes them feel a clamness in heart and joyful tidings. Material achievement can bring fleeting happiness, but spiritual happiness is everlasting.
So for those of you out there, show your love to others,at least to your own precious parents.

Fame and pride will vanish like unto morning mist. As time passes
by people will forget because new rising 'stars' will curve the way for them.

Its our life, your own life. The best way to be happy is to keep those around you happy and feel secure in your presence. It comes without any expectations, as expectations has both positive and negative impact. The adverse one will have incurable tiny scar in heart.

"Be patient under all conditions, and put your whole trust and confidence in God"

QUICK BITE ON LESSONS IN LIFE:

A sales rep, administration clerk, and the manager are walking to lunch when they find an antique oil lamp. They rub it and a GENIE comes out. The GENIE saya, " I'll give eachof you just one wish."

"Me first!" says the administration clerk.
"I want to be in Bahamas, driving a speedboat, without a care in the world." Puff! She's gone.

"Me next! Me next!" says the sales rep. "I want to be in Hawaii, relaxing on the beach with my personal masseuse, an endless supply of Pina Coladas and the love of my life." Puff! She's gone.

"OK, you're up," the GENIE says to the manager. The manager saya,"I want those two back in the office after lunch."

Moral of the story:
Always let your boss have the first say.

About my 'Speech of Introduction: Introducing Myself"

As i was looking for an inspirational person to give a speech about, I realised that why don't I be an inspirational figure for myself. Rather than finding for an ideal person, why don't I be my own ideal person? This is the key reason I chose to introduce myself to class. After prepared my slides, I gave my speech on one fine day in the class. I have managed to grab the attention of my friends. It was satisfying.

Now let's come to the part of my personal stand in my speech. Actually I've put many stands in the slides. But I'll choose the main three of them. My first personal stand was 'I AM: Dynamic'. I relate myself with the word dynamic in the sense that I could able to move around in my work & play, and the characteristic of uniqueness in each aspect of my life. Now, about my second stand, it is ' I AM: Empathetic person'. Mostly, empathetic is related with sympathetic. I always try to be kind with my elderly people, friends and strangers. But if others don't show the mutual respect then I would consider to be in good terms wit them. Eventually, these personal features leads me to a helpful person. My third stand is 'I AM: Joful person'. Life is short, why don't we cherish every moment we have on this wonderful piece of planet? Being good will always content our heart with happiness. God's blessings will always be on us, if we follow on the path of truth. In my conclusion, I've told about my dreams and the love of my family, and also about my personal details.

What I've learned and learning in LIFE!!!

I've learned that you cannot make someone love you. All you can do is be someone who can be loved. The rest is up to them.

I've learned that no matter how much I care some people just don't care back.

I've learned that just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.

I've learned that it takes years to build up trust, and only seconds to destroy it.

I've learned that it's not what you have in your life, but whom you have in your life that counts.

I've learned that our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.

I've learned that we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.

I've learned that either you control your attitude or it controls you.

I've learned that sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.

I've learned that maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had and what you've learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you’ve celebrated.

I've learned that two people can look at the exact same thing and see something totally different.

I've learned that no matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.

I've learned that it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others. Sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself.

I've learned that just because two people argue, it doesn't mean they don't love each other. And, just because they don't argue, it doesn't mean they do.

I’ve learned that no matter how bad your heart is broken the world doesn’t stop for your grief.

I’ve learned that no matter how you try to protect your children, they will eventually get hurt, and you will hurt in the process.

I've learned that you should never tell a child their dreams are unlikely or outlandish. Few things are more humiliating, and what a tragedy it would be if they believed it.

I've learned that heroes are people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.

I’ve learned that you can keep going long after you can’t.

i feel that is not wrong for girls to take part in that kind of activity such as rock climbing, rafting or paintball..many of us have involve in it because it can increase our confidence..when we talk about girls who involve in it, doesn't mean that she is a tomboy and do not have feminine value in herself..a girl will always be a girl..

Once upon a time, when a boy was a small child, he used to play with a particular tree everyday as a hobby. Tree was very happy and wished that it could stop time from going on so that it could stay with the boy forever. But time goes on by and the boy gradually grows older day by day, year by year. Eventually, he doesn’t play with the tree anymore. So, the tree becomes very sad and lonely.

One gloomy morning, as the tree was standing alone, remembering the happy days they had together, it got a shock joy as the boy come back. He had come to ask for money and the tree didn’t hesitates even the least to give and sacrifice all it had with its capability, shedding all its leaves to give to the boy, leaving it bare and cold. The boy went away happily but didn’t return for along time.

A few years passed by and the boy has grown into a handsome man. Eventually, he came back to visit the tree, asking yet another favor for wood to build of his house. Once again, the tree sacrificed itself and was partly cut down. But again, the boy left the tree alone and never come back anymore.

well, what i'm trying to tell all of you was not actually about the story of the tree but how this story symbolizes about our parents sacrifice towards us.
In this story, the tree symbolizes our parents. The reality today is just as such. Children never appreciate their parents’ sacrifice but always asking for more. Parents, on the other hand, never abandon their children’s hope and sacrifice all they could. Some nowadays think that money could pay for what they have done, that is by giving their parents money. Actually, this concept is totally wrong.

Always remember, love doesnt have price, be it billions of dollars or ringgit, no value can match the price of love. One thing that we need to remember is that, even if you service your parent for whole of your life, you still cannot pay for what they have done for you. The parent’s sacrifices are invaluable.....

Candle Lantern vs Modern Electric Lantern~

A lantern is a portable lighting device used to illuminate broad areas. Lantern may be used for signaling, or as general light sources for camping. The simplest technology used is the candle lantern which can be lit with fire. Candles gives only a weak light, and must be protected from wind to prevent from flickering or complete extinguishment. Therefore, the invention of lantern came to be. Decorative lanterns exist in a wide range of design. Some hang from building, while others are placed on or just above the ground.
Nowadays, modern electric lantern use a battery powered and have a simple light bulb, but bright and efficient electric lantern will employ a specialized power supply to operate a fluorescent type. They are easy to use and comparatively durable, but less bright than liquid fuel lanterns. Depending on the design, these lantern may use disposable batteries, rechargeable replaceable batteries, or permanently-installed rechargeable batteries and either require battery replacement, or if rechargeable and not constantly plugged in must be brought to full charge every few month by plugging in.

Munich Air Disaster

I had read a article about the Munich air disaster which had took place on 6 February 1958, when British European Airways Flight 609 crashed on its third attempt to take off from a slush-covered runway at Munich-Riem Airport in Munich, Germany. On board the plane was the Manchester United football team along with a number of supporters and journalists. 23 of the 44 people on board the aircraft died as a result of the crash.

The team was returning from a European Cup match in Belgrade, Yugoslavia, but had to make a stop in Munich for refuelling. After refuelling, the pilots, Captains James Thain and Kenneth Rayment, attempted to take off twice, but had to abandon both attempts due to boost surging in the port engine. Fearing that they would get too far behind schedule, Captain Thain rejected an overnight stay in Munich in favour of a third take-off attempt.
By the time of the third attempt, it had begun to snow, causing a layer of slush to build up at the end of the runway. When the aircraft hit the slush, it lost velocity, making take-off impossible. It ploughed through a fence past the end of the runway, before the port wing hit a nearby house and was torn off.
An investigation by authorities originally blamed Captain Thain for the crash, claiming that he had failed to de-ice the wings of the aircraft, despite statements to the contrary from eyewitnesses. It was later established that the crash had, in fact, been caused by the build-up of slush on the runway, which had resulted in the aircraft being unable to achieve take-off velocity.

salam....
well, as a muslim, have you ever thaought of the reasons why you read al-quran?
almost all the time, when i read it,i realize that though i have the copy of translation of it, i do not remember much of what i read.
then i happen to read this article, which then answered my question.....

An old American Muslim lived on a farm in the mountains of eastern Kentucky with his young grandson. Each morning Grandpa was up early sitting at the kitchen table reading his Quraan. His grandson wanted to be just like him and tried to imitate him in every way he could. One day the grandson asked,

"Grandpa! I try to read the Qur'an just like you but I don't understand it, and what I do understand I forget as soon as I close the book. What good does reading the Qur'an do?"

The Grandfather quietly turned from putting coal in the stove and replied,

"Take this coal basket down to the river and bring me back a basket of water."

The boy did as he was told, but all the water leaked out before he got back to the house. The grandfather laughed and said,

"You'll have to move a little faster next time," and sent him back to the river with the basket to try again.

This time the boy ran faster, but again the basket was empty before he returned home. Out of breath, he told his grandfather that it was impossible to carry water in a basket, and he went to get a bucket instead.

The old man said, "I don't want a bucket of water, I want a basket of water. You're just not trying hard enough," and he went out the door to watch the boy try again. At this point, the boy knew it was impossible, but he wanted to show his grandfather that even if he ran as fast as he could, the water would leak out before he got back to the house.

The boy again dipped the basket into river and ran hard, but when he reached his grandfather the basket was again empty. Out of breathe, he said, "See Grandpa, it's useless!"

So you think it is useless?" The old man said, "Look at the basket." The boy looked at the basket and for the first time he realized that the basket was different. It had been transformed from a dirty old coal basket and was now clean, inside and out.

"Son, that's what happens when you read the Qur'an. You might not understand or remember everything, but when you read it, you will be changed, inside and out. That is the work of Allah in our lives."

yesterday...
on 23th of march 2009 news in THE STAR newspaper i read that there will be lights out in KL.Putrajaya and LAbuan as a symbolic gesture to cut energy consumption.
Earth Hour is an annual event that World Wide Fund for Nature/World Wildlife Fund (WWF) started in Sydney, Australia, in 2007 to get households and businesses to turn off their lights for an hour to raise awareness on climate change.

i really surprise about it because i thought Malaysia is no more concern about the thing that happen around..
i am so sad to see a lot of trees were cutting down. they just concern about the development. then many forest would be destroyed to built many palaces for people. i know that people need places to live but the thing that i'm not really agreed is the development that they have done are imbalance.mean they just focused on some places...
let say in KL are just a few trees would be left because there are a lot of development there.that is why the temperature in KL are higher than the other place..
just for an example..
i'm from kedah. i feel better when i stay in Kedah because the view in kedah with lots of forest there gave me some peace.so back to the point, as a conclusion or a suggestion government should take action about this.if they want to built building make sure there are not so crowded because in fact the plant around us help the earth to maintain the temperature...reducing the plant around us will increase the temperature and cause the global warming.
in the future i think no more plant in malaysia or world and human also going to die because the trees that cutting down more than the trees that we replant it.

GETTING OUT OF NEGATIVITY!!!!!
hi...
i'm back..hihi..
nowadays we can see that people got depressed and always be negative thinking about a simple thing happened around us..
On a daily basis we are normally faced with a number of negative circumstances, people or situations. Sometimes the traffic jam can get to you, a difficult colleague or boss, friends, work etc. It’s within one’s attitude to look beyond the situation and have a positive attitude no matter what the circumstances are.

Although temporary or small offences and negativity can be overcome, how does one deal with a prolonged depression as a result of rejection, broken relationship or loneliness? If we don’t deal with it immediately, we are going to spend most of our days in depression and pain. It can even take years. Sometimes have adverse effect on your health.
seriously i'm also a negative thinker before but i have read a book about this situation.
it told me that being a positive thinker will make us happier. i just practice it in my daily life. so as a result i feel the meaning of life. i always feel better than before and happy in my life.
it doesn't mean that we have no problem but just try to deal with it. i know all of you out there can do better then me..
so try it out..
LIFE IS HARD AND PAINFUL BUT BE POSITIVE AND LIFE WILL BECOME MORE EASIER.WAKE UP AND SURVIVE IT.FACE WHATEVER COMING UP AND SMILE AS YOU CAN..BELIEVE IT...

i have read about an article..
the title is CRYING IS THE BEST CURE??
maybe you don't know about this or maybe some of you have been discovered this cure..
let me tell you..
why crying is the best cure..
for example when you got some problem or having circumstance that you cannot deal with..
some of you will cry to put their sadness off..and some like to show their depression off..
but in my opinion better cry than we hurt the others..
for example my friends show their depression by talking rude to me but i'm not the person that causing her sadness or give her problem. i'm human too..
so for what reason she hurt my feeling. she are not stop the problem but she cause another problem by make me sad.
so the best way is you cry.
because when you cry you put off your depression out as the tears drop down...you are not hurting or burden the others..don't think that you are a loser when you cry..
never mind if people looking that you are a loser when you cry..because they are not in your shoes...
so just cry...
you are the winner when you finished crying and deal with your problem without causing problem to the others..just try it out!!!

We Should Try It!!

PEOPLE who walk for exercise should aim for a pace of 100 steps per minute to ensure their workout is intense enough.

Researchers from San Diego State University said as health benefits can be achieved with bouts of exercise lasting at least 10 minutes, a useful starting point is to try and accumulate 1,000 steps in 10 minutes, before building up to 3,000 steps in 30 minutes.

Experts recommend that adults get at least 30 minutes of moderate activity, five times per week. If those 30 minutes are achieved in one session, that means taking a minimum of 3,000 steps per session.

The findings, published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine, are based on exercise tests given to 97 healthy adults with an average age of 32.

In general, men needed to walk at a pace of 92 to 102 steps per minute to achieve a moderately intense workout for their hearts. The range for women was between 91 and 115 steps per minute.
However, the researchers point out that walkers can also break those steps down into several shorter exercise sessions throughout the day.

It's a good facts for women...

CHINESE women who eat mushrooms and drink green tea significantly cut their risk of breast cancer and its severity in those who develop it.

Researchers from University of Western Australia looked at the diets of 2,018 women from the southeastern Chinese city of Hangzhou — half of whom had breast cancer — between July 2004 and September 2005.

The researchers noted that the rate of breast cancer cases in China was four to five times lower than that typically found in developed countries.

Eating as little as 10 grams, or less than one button mushroom daily, has a beneficial effect. Women who consumed the most fresh mushrooms are two-thirds less likely to develop breast cancer compared with those who did not eat them. Fresh and dried mushrooms were equally effective.

The fact that the combination of green tea and mushrooms was more effective than just mushrooms alone could partially explain the lower incidence of breast cancer amongst Chinese women. The study was published in the International Journal of Cancer.

After watching the movie Twilight, I was eager to find more on vampires. Do they really exist or is it just a myth? Does this vampire has got to do with the Malaysian legend of 'Raja Bersiong'?? These are several outcomes I've obtained..

1.Many theories for the origins of vampire beliefs have been offered as an explanation for the superstition, and sometimes mass hysteria, caused by vampires. Everything ranging from premature burial to the early ignorance of the body's decomposition cycle after death has been cited as the cause for the belief in vampires.
In modern times, however, the vampire is generally held to be a fictitious entity. However, there is still a small amount of underground dark groups where the members claimed to be 'vampires' called the group, 'Vampire Among Us (VAU),'live and feed themselves like a real vampire.

2.According to the ancient Malay book of Hikayat Merong Mahawangsa, there was a king named Raja Ong Maha Perita Doria in Langkasuka, today's Kedah, who was a cruel and bad tempered king. One day, when a cook hastily prepared the royal meal, he accidentally cut his finger and blood trickled into the food.He was too scared to waste time to wash the food, so when he served the food, the king who found the delicious and tastier meal demanded all his meals must have blood in it after found out bout the incident. He started to kill the villagers because of his greed for blood.
Many tried to kill him but failed, but eventually a shaman(pawang) managed to turn the king into a wild boar, where the fangs in their mouth is said to be caused by the growth of the king's incisors, just like the wild boars. That's why people called him Raja Bersiong, or Fanged King.

In my opinion, it is our desire to believe in such myth or legend, but as an Islam, we should have our limits in believing something as it all comes from Allah, it does not mean we have no right to know,of course we can broaden our knowledge ,but we have to control ourselves so that we don't imitate these dark rituals that is against our religion.

What is friendship??

Friendship is an in-depth relationship. Friendship is comfortable and relaxed. Friendship requires meeting the needs of both friends.

I'm sure that after almost 2 semesters in UMP, we have found ourselves friends..But do we really know what is the meaning of friendship?I should agree that friendship happens naturally, but to find a REAL FRIEND is quite hard as not all people can be loyal and not everyone could think the same way as you did.
Well, let us forget bout bff. First we need to really know what qualities do you have in you just to know are you a friend or a toxic friend??

1. Cultivating social skills which includes the art of helping people to feel comfortable.
2. Be yourself; where you act, talk, dress, walk, joke, sit and everything as you really are.In a friendship, we see the other person clearly, not posturing to present an inflated image of ourselves. I'm sure everyone hate imitators.Well, I do.
3. Sharing activities. Friends become connected to people simply by spending time together, and talking, and doing the same activities.
4. Learning our friends. We explore our friend's thoughts, tastes, dreams and most of all feelings.
5. Do favors. When we show our effort to help someone, we are giving evidence of friendship. One of the delights of friendship is the opportunity to express our compassionate and helpful nature to a person who is appreciative.
6. Be trustworthy. We have a need to keep our friend's secrets, and to know that the private aspects that we have to respect and keep the secret safe under any circumstances.
7. Accept the changes and difficult times together. Friendships change, and so do the individuals within them.We have to accept our friends for what they are as it is the main basic knowledge of friendship, which is to give and to accept, to forgive and to forget.

So, do you fit all the criteria above??Are you a true friend or a toxic friend??
Some friendships survive the turbulence. Conflicts can even strengthen a friendship,an argument proves that our bond is based upon the honest expression of feelings. As for me, I have found both true and toxic friends. For the ruined relations, it shows that you can see that whose you're real friends are.But cheer up, because there's more to come in the future, as friends are like melons; shall I tell you why? To find one good you must one hundred try. Collect yourselves with true friends,as often said, friendship is the golden thread that ties the heart of all the world.

Toxic friends...

As I mentioned above, certain people must want to know what is a toxic friend, or they don't realize that they are in this group of friendship.
There are nine main types of toxic friends those people who hurts you eventually. Knowing the categories of toxic friends helps you avoid them. Unfortunately, though, becoming friends is risky and there is never a guarantee you will not be hurt by a toxic friend.

1. The User
This person only has friends as long as he/she can use them for some purpose or goal of his/her own.
2. The Betrayer
Nothing hurts more than a friend who betrays you
3. The Gossip
The ones who talks behind you, and talks bad about others friends at you. This person could be the most harmful of toxic friends.
4. The Competitor
The competitor is always looking to be "one up," where none of the friend members could be or have more than his/her.
5. The Leaner
The leaner is a very needy friend who clings and may be at your doorstep every day. He/she usually wants all of your time and jealousy often enters the picture in this friendship.
6. The Self-Centered
Self-centered people can't think of you as they are too busy thinking of themselves.
7. The Promise Breaker
This person whose generally lack of dependability rarely does what he/she says he/she will do.
8. The Judge
The judge is a fault finder, where he/she always think that he/she is right in anything.Ever judgmental, ever critical, this friend can erode your self-esteem.
9. The Control Freak
This person seem to control the friendship, where to go, what to do or anything until other friends are not allowed to speak out.

I believe everyone does not want to be or have a toxic friend, hence, be true to yourself, to your friends there is nothing worth the wear of winning, but laughter and the love of friends=)

Avoid Examination Stress...

Since the final exam is just around the corner,
Here are 10 useful tips by educational psychologists:

1. Get help: ask a lecturer or tutor about how to revise, and exam skills - how to work when you are in an exam.
2. Take short rests during your time of work and revision. If your mind is tired, it will not remember well.
3. Plan your work: revise at times when you know you will work at your best.
4. Stay healthy: get enough sleep, eat sensibly.
5. Exercise: you need exercise to work well. Walk, run, play sport - whatever you enjoy.
6. Be positive: stop thinking about the future and failing.
7. Do your best: no-one can do more than this.
8. Be alert: if you feel ill, talk to someone about your worries.
9. But don't be too relaxed! Some stress over exams makes you work hard for them.
10. Be sensible: if it upsets you to talk to your friends about an exam when it is finished, don't do it! In fact, don't even think about the exam you have finished. What is done is done. You cannot change what you have written!

If you are studying in the evening, don't go straight to bed afterward.Your mind will still be 'going round and round' - thinking too much. Do something else, maybe walk or get exercise. Choose something that will relax you, and make you think of other things. Good luck everyone!!

New Spiders Discovered in Papua New Guinea

Jumping spiders are found in every part of the world except Antarctica. well,it is capable of jumping 30 times their body length, some of the 5,000 documented species are common in households. They come in many shapes and sizes, some resembling ants or beetles.

Two of the jumping spiders' eight eyes have evolved to be large with high-resolution vision to spot prey. Female jumping spiders also use this heightened visual sense to watch males, who show off their colorful bodies during courtship dances.
a biologist, said that the smaller animals — like insects and spiders — and plants may hold the secret to many of the world's unknown chemicals.

"Spider venom has evolved for millions of years to affect the neurological systems of the spider's insect prey, and each species of spider gives scientist another opportunity to find medically useful chemicals," jumping spiders with their remarkably miniaturized yet acute eyes could help us understand how to push the limits of vision. In addition to filling in the gaps in our planet's natural history, exploring spider biodiversity and evolution could potentially inform fields as diverse as medicine and robotics."

this spider is distinctive evolutionary lineages that ad been unknown before, which also known as jumping spiders...

There's No Place Like Home

When you're homesick, you're not sick in the usual way — like with a cold or chickenpox. Homesick means you're upset, sad, and maybe scared. A kid might cry when he or she is homesick. You might also have a headache or stomachache because being upset can sometimes make your body feel bad, too.

It's hard to be homesick because you're caught between two things you want — to have fun with your friends and to be back home where you feel safe. It's also hard because you might feel funny leaving a party or having to call your mom or dad from camp. But don't feel weird. A lot of people get homesick, even grown-ups.

When you're used to having certain people and things around you, it can be scary when they're gone. How will you fall asleep at your friend's house without your night-light and the sound of your mom watching TV in the next room? Won't it be weird at camp without your dad to give you a kiss goodnight?

Feeling homesick can be even rougher if you're dealing with other problems, too. Some kids may feel more homesick than usual if their parents are getting divorced or if someone they loved has recently died. These kinds of scary and sad experiences may make you even more attached to everyone and everything around you, including the little things you don't even think about until they're not there.

Animals Get Homesick

Did you know even animals get homesick? If a dog's owner goes on vacation and the dog goes to the kennel, the dog might cry, act sad, and refuse to eat. Animals in zoos also might feel homesick, especially if they were once in the wild. That's one reason zoos are trying harder te recreate animal's natural habitats, so they feel more at home and less homesick!

Insomnia

Insomnia is the most common sleeping disorder; most of us would have faced this problem at some point of our lives.

Some people only suffer from it for a short term and will be back to normal in no time, while others require professional help.

Symptoms include difficulty in falling asleep, waking up often during the night and having trouble going back to sleep, waking up too early in the morning and feeling tired upon waking.
Research has found that insomnia is a persistent condition for many people. About 75 per cent of those with insomnia experience the condition for at least a year, and almost half experience it for three years.

Darul Ehsan Medical Centre consultant physician and cardiologist Col (R) Dr Abd Rahman Mohd Ali said when insomnia leads to problems such as lethargy, fatigue, inability to concentrate and low quality of life, one has to seek treatment.

“For some people, worrying about their health, financial situation and work can result in them not being able to sleep for days, weeks or even months. Once they are deprived of sleep, they may face other problems.

“In Adam’s case, a family member had died of cancer. He began to worry that he too had cancer. Even a slight pain had him rushing to the doctor as he was convinced that he will die of cancer. The worry, stress and fear kept him awake.”

Dr Abd Rahman said disturbed sleeping patterns can also lead to insomnia.

“If the time you go to sleep is constantly changed, the body will find it difficult to adjust after a while and you will start having sleepless nights".

How to treat insomnia...

The treatment for insomnia usually begins with changing one’s lifestyle and behaviour. In many cases, doctors would not prescribe medication for treating it as it can lead to addiction, said Dr Abd Rahman.

“People who suffer from insomnia must maintain good hygiene and good sleeping habits including maintaining a conducive environment in their bedroom.

“Make sure your bedroom is purely for sleeping. For some people, their bedrooms also double up as their office with laptops, TV sets and such.”

There are also those who are not opposed to eating in bed. They make the bedrooms not conducive to a good night’s sleep.

Another no-no is taking long naps during the day.

“If you feel sleepy, take a short nap between 10 and 15 minutes after lunch. Do light exercises at least four hours before you go to bed and try not to have a heavy meal close to your bedtime.”

Caffeine, nicotine and alcohol should be avoided late in the day. Caffeine and nicotine are stimulants which will keep us from falling asleep while alcohol can cause waking in the night and interferes with sleep quality.

If you are not sleepy, have a warm bath or drink that will help you relax or read a book that you know will help you fall asleep.

for this post, i would like to share with you all the simple solutions for ANNOYING PROBLEMS..

1. If you are choking on an ice cube, don't panic!
Simply pour a cup of boiling water down your throat, the blockage will be almost instantly removed.

2. tired of cutting your fingers while slicing food? Avoid cutting yourself while slicing vegetables by getting someone else to hold them while you chop away.

3. You can avoid arguments with the wife about lifting the toilet seat just by using the sink.

4. For high blood pressure sufferers, simply cut yourself and bleed for a few minutes, thus reducing the pressure in your veins. Remember to use an egg timer.

5. A mouse trap placed on top of your alarm clock will prevent you from rolling over and going back to sleep after you hit the snooze button.

6. If you have a bad cough, take a large dose of laxatives. Then you will be too afraid to cough.

a funny joke each day to keep you laughing..

this is a story told by my dear old friend.

a herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the heard is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. this natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members. in much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Now, as we know, excessive intake of alcohol kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. in this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. And that is why you always feel smarter after a few beers.

haha..
this is only a joke. do not take it seriously. have fun.

Participants can bring their own cockroaches or purchase one from the hotel.

other strange australian races are:

HAVE YOU EVER SNORING IN THE NIGHT WHEN YOU ARE SLEEPING???
Many of you did not noticed that but have you ever heard any complained from your roommate or your family that you are snoring when you are sleep...
here i want you to know that what cause you snoring during your sleep.. i have read it from the article in READERS DIGEST on January 2008.
from the article i noticed that studies have shown that the louder you snore, the more likely you have a medical problem. One condition associated with snoring is obstructive sleep apnoea, which has potential complications like hypertension, heart attack, stroke and early dementia.
Obesity is the leading cause of snoring. Other culprits include advancing age, anatomical problems such as having a small jaw, drinking alcohol and taking sedatives. Sleeping on the back is also a frequent aggravating factor.
so how to cope with snoring is you must reduce your weight, avoid alcohol before bed, quit smoking, don't take sleeping pills and treat allergies at bedtime.
so check it up...but those who are not face with obesity maybe you have the others problem with your breathing organs..so please refer to your doctor....so have a nice sleep without snoring.)=

A GOOD NEWS TO ALL SMOKERS??
i have a reading on 30 march 2009 READERS DIGEST ARTICLE...
it said that no cigar is a safe smoke...
nowadays cigar-smoking has gained in popularity.according to the what stated on the article In the US use rose more than 50 per cent between 1993 and 2000, helped by a fad among celebrities.
why it said that cigars is more danger than cigarettes??
let me tell you...

Cigar smoke, like pipe smoke, is not traditionally inhaled.

Cigars actually produce more tar and carbon monoxide than cigarettes, and cigar tar is more carcinogenic. The smoke dissolves more easily in saliva, delivering a nicotine dose without inhalation. The mouth and tongue are just as exposed as with cigarettes. On the other hand, cigar smokers tend to smoke less. A 2003 UK study concluded pipe and cigar smokers had a risk of heart disease, stroke and death halfway between non-smokers and light cigarette smokers and the same lung cancer risk as light cigarette smokers
that is why the smoker are suggested to choose cigarettes than the cigars...
but watch out..both can cause harm to your body...
so the best way is avoiding yourself from any of them...
live with healthy life..it's not too little late ok...

i just read an health and science articles in Science Daily,Feb 3 on Mental Illness By Itself Does Not Predict Future Violent Behavior, Study Finds.
the article state that people with mental illness alone are no more likely than anyone else to commit acts of violence, a new study by UNC researchers concludes. But mental illness combined with substance abuse or dependence elevates the risk for future violence.
professor in the forensic psychiatry program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine also said that several other factors – such as a history of past violence or substance abuse or a recent divorce or loss of one's job – are much more predictive of future violence than mental illness alone.
several mental illness which they studied was including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and major depression and all this kind of mental illness can lead to violent behavior to others.
and they also state that people who has mental illness combined with substances abuse like alcohol will becomes more violent and dangerous.
other that that, this illness are very hard to be cure and it spread to person who also feel depress easily. we could be one of that person if we do not manage our tress properly.

i have read an articles on how reduce snoring while sleeping.
if it happen when you sleep with mouth closed, your tongue is probably in the way of your breathing passage. if your mouth are open, it's likely related to slack tissue in the throat. if you snoring only when you lying on your back, try to lie on your side. if the snoring subsides, chances are it's case of your having weak throat tissue or a narrow throat ir your nasal passageway is blocked especially if you has an history of sinusitis.
however, nowadays there is variety of non-invasive products available in the market for the relief of snoring such as the adhesive breathing strip that you might also want to try.
good luck..hope no more snoring when you are sleeping.

Rebak Island is a private island which host to a first-class marina facility and was the only fully equipped marina in Malaysia, which accommodate vessels up to "30m in 189 wet and 70 dry berths". Rebak Island Resort also offer several outdoors activities for the non-lazy holiday goers like nature adventures (jungle tracking, mangrove boat tour, and bird watching ), excursion ( to the cable car ride, underwater world, wildlife park, eagle square and other tourist spots on the Langkawi main island ), sea adventures (go island hopping, scuba diving or night fishing by making reservation with the guest services centre ) and also water sports ( adrenalin-pumping jet-skiing, parasailing and banana boat rides )
but i dont think this destination suit my budget. but for those who want to have an exciting holiday and this island suit your budget, i hope you will have a sweetest holiday there. have fun!

when we go into a shop to buy a thing, only 1 item but it usually end up with 10 items. why this happen? i have go throw some observation and i have notes 5 point of strategies that retailers play on us.
what i s it :
1) strategic product placement- stores place pricey goods at eye level and mid-aisle so you will look and buy.
to avoid this, before go to the shop, do a detailed shopping list so you will stick on it
2) mirror on the wall- shoppers who look in mall mirrors are likely to buy beauty products
to avoid it, if you didn't think you needed improvement earlier, just give yourself a due compliment
3) perfect pairing- shoes are place next to the bags because we are likely to buy a complimentary item
to avoid it, tell yourself that you can get better elsewhere
4) distracting isles- the more you see, the longer you linger, and the more you will spend
to avoid it, dont browse, go straight to what you need!
5) super-sized carts-when you see extra space in the cart, you may wonder what more you may be forgetting and then you will buy more
to avoid this, grab a small basket or if possible use only your hands to hold all the thing you want to buy.

do your best guys!

i have read on the article which tittle payment for an 'episode of care'
this article is about the blurb on a new idea of how to pay for health care. for example, when you pay doctors for every procedure they do, there’s an incentive for unnecessary treatments. There’s a financial reward for fixing problems that better care might have prevented. And there’s no incentive for doctors to prevent complications. On the other hand, few people want to go back to capitation — paying a single, annual fee for all of a patient’s care. That’s been criticized for leading to under treatment.
but the situation only can be apply to basic sickness like fever and some other diseases. for those who had cancer or tumor, it was so hard to maintain their episode of health care because they need to search for the donor, do they monthly medical checkout, and some have to do implant. it was hard and cause a lot of money.
the chronic disease are not easily can be threat. so, Medicare’s piloting a program that pays a lump-sum to be split by the hospital and physicians for acute-care procedures like coronary bypass. Of course, the prospect of the hospital handling a lump-sum payment makes a lot of docs nervous. And poorly designed bundles could encourage cherry-picking healthy patients or denying needed care.
with that, more people can survives. but everyone have their right to choose their own episode of health care.

so, why not we take 5 minutes to remember all the mistake that we have done and promise to ourselves that we will change and become a better person.
take a chance to change your own future..

HOW TO CONTROL ANGER

We have all experianced anger whether its frustration in traffic, direct attact from invidual and etc.Anger can be mild irritation or it can be extreme rage that is uncontrollable.here some steps how to control anger so it won't harm us or others.

-we live in a society where we can't attack people just because we're angry. We must learn to manage our anger
-Redirect the anger. Do something physical like exercising or cleaning. Sometimes physical work will release the tension.
-Realize not every problem has a solution. We tend to think we can fix it. Maybe we can't. Make a plan on how to deal with the situation if it can't be fixed.
-Use logic. Be reasonable and stop demanding. Instead of "I need" think "I wish".
-Give yourself a break. Sometimes we just need time alone to work things out.

U like chicken wing?
Do u know eat too much chicken wing is dangerous for our health?
Thus, avoid eating chicken wings frequently - ladies, especially.
Here i would like to share with all of u about a story which related to this case. Its taken from an-mail.

"A friend of mine recently had a growth in her womb and she underwent an operation to remove it.
The cyst removed was filled with a dark colored blood. She thought that she would be recovered after the surgery but she was terribly wrong !

A relapse occurred just a few months later. Distressed , she rushed down to her gynecologist for a consultation.

During her consultation, her doctor asked her a question that puzzled her.
He ask if she was a frequent consumer of chicken wings and she replied yes wondering as to how, he knew of her eating habits."

The truth is in this modern day and age; chickens are injected with steroids to accelerate their growth so that the needs of this society can be met.
This need is none other than the need for food.

Chickens that are injected with steroids are usually given the shot at the neck or the wings.
Therefore, it is in these places that the highest concentration of steroids exists.
These steroids have terrifying effects on the body as it accelerates growth..
It has an even more dangerous effect in the presence of female hormones, this leads to women being more prone to the growth of a cyst in the womb.

Therefore, I advise the people out there to watch their diets and to lower their frequency of consuming chicken wings!

JUST DO IT!!!

You only brush your teeth the right way when you spend about two minutes to do so in the correct strokes.
While you're brushing your teeth, be careful with the gumline, back teeth and sensitive areas surrounding filings and crowns. Usually, we're guilty of brushing our teeth in a random manner and rather hastily. Stop that bad habit and start sticking to a particular sequence and make it as routine as possible. A possible sequence could be:
1. Clean the inner surfaces of your upper teeth.
2. Clean the inner surfaces of your lower teeth.
3. Clean the outer surfaces of your upper teeth.
4. Clean the outer surfaces of your lower teeth.
5. Clean the chewing surfaces.
6. Brush the tongue too.
Once you're used to the sequence, it's time to master the strokes of brushing. Always tilt your toothbrush at a 45-degree angle. Brush away from the gumline in gentle sweeping movement. Similarly, when brushing the chewing, inner and outer surfaces, do it in short back-and-forth strokes. You may want to brush your tongue also to clean off the lingering bacteria.

Button leads new team to 1-2 finish, Hamilton promoted to third

hello everyone..
here i just want to share the result about my favourite race car which is Formula one(F1). Britain's Jenson button led home a sensational one-two finish for Brawn GP in its debut F1 team start at the twilight Australian Grand Prix yesterday.Italian Jarno Trulli in a Toyota crossed the line in third, but was stripped of the position by race stewards, leaving world champion Lewis Hamilton in McLaren-Mercedes another 1.3 seconds away in third.
Timo Glock was fourth, Fernando Alonso finished in fifth, Nico Rosberg was sixth and Sebastian Beumi finished seventh in his F1 debut. Actually this is the first GP in the calendar F1 for this seasons. Second race in the season will take place in Malaysia next weekend.

unfortunately, my favourite Ferrari fail to win points and that was another miserable start just like last season which they fail to win the race at Autralian GP.A driver error by Kimi Raikkonen sents his Ferrari into a wall on lap 42. Felippe Massa retired three laps later due to a steering failure.I hope my favourite team will do something about their cars and gives the best perfomance during Malaysian GP next weekend.
so good luck for Ferrari...

A New Way to Keep Bones Strong?? How?

I just found out this article and would like share this knowledge with others. I get this information from Digest Reader Web.

Here i summarized what i have read from the article.

In order to keep your bones even stronger, try the substitutions below:

a) Eat more alkali booster:
i) potatoes
ii)fruit juices
iii)tofu
iv)wine
v)raisins
b)Eat less acid producer:
i)pasta
ii)soda
iii)meat and poultry
iv)beer
v)peanuts

When you digest carbohydrates, the process turns your innards slightly acidic. That's a problem because a high-acid environment leaches calcium from bone. Particularly hard on older people, whose kidneys can't clear acid compounds as quickly In contrast, fruits and vegetables create a skeleton-friendly alkaline environment. In new study, an alkaline supplement lowered the amount of calcium that volunteers excreted by 20 percent. The researcher recommands, at least take two vegetable or fruit servings at every meal, and eat no more than two daily servings of carbs like bread, cereal, and pasta.

Attention to whose wearing glasses now!!! Got foods that can help protect your eyesight.

a)Glaucoma.
Just one serving a month of kale or collard greens or more than two servings of carrots a week reduced the risk of glaucoma by more than 60 percent in a UCLA study of 1,000women. Scientists believe that high levels of vitamin A and other antioxidants in these veggies help protect crucial cells in the optic nerve.

b)Cataracts.
Adults who regularly drink orange juice and also include C-rich foods such as red and green bell peppers, tomatoes, and broccoli in their daily diet are 45 percent less likely to develop cataracts, according to new research from Australia. Vitamin C may help counteract the lens-clouding effects of light and heat.

c)Macular degeneration.
Eating oatmeal, high-fiber cereals, and whole-grain breads cuts the risk of macular degeneration by about 39 percent, shows a recent study. Complex carbs prevent blood sugar swings that can damage delicate cells in the center of the retina.

For your eyes good, please take the foods recommanded above.

I want to share a special novel and movie that i have read and watched called 'The sisterhood of The Traveling Pants.' The novel was written by Ann Brashares and the movie was directed by Ken Kwapis, staring 4 beautiful best friends in Maryland; Carmen, Tibby, Lena and Bridget where they once surprisingly found a pair of magical jeans that suited all four of them perfectly although they were all in different measurements. The girls decided to share the pants equally among them over the summer vacation as a way of keeping together when they were apart.First, the pants went with Lena, who was spending the summer in Greece with her grandparents. Lena then sent the pants to Tibby, who was stuck at home. Next, Tibby sent them to Carmen, who had gone to visit her divorced father in South Carolina. Carmen sent them to Bridget, who was at a soccer camp in Baja California, Mexico. Then, the pants went back in reverse order - Bridget to Carmen to Tibby to Lena. When each girl wore the Traveling Pants, she gained insights into her life and is emboldened to change it, and wrote to next person about her life during the summer..

This warmth story shows me the bond between friendship and sisterhood which is very strong, no matter how far they were apart from each other and proved by the traveling pants..It's a nice story though, you should read and watch it too, especially when some of the actress are from the famous top tv series, such as 'The Ugly Betty,' 'Gilmore Girls,' and 'Gossip Girl.'

Avocado can help stabilize your blood sugar levels.

Simply add some avocado to a sandwich or anything else with bread or carbs, and the fat will slow digestion of the meal, thus making it easier on your blood sugar.

In fact, the good fat in avocados (as well as olive oil and nuts) may actually reverse insulin resistance, helping your body steady its blood sugar levels. Avocados also contain more soluble fiber (which stabilizes blood sugar and lowers cholesterol) and protein than any other fruit

Avocados are rich in sterols, compounds shown to lower cholesterol. They're also packed with vitamins and minerals, including vitamin E, magnesium, vitamin C, folate, and zinc. Ounce for ounce, they provide more potassium than bananas!

The avocado has fewer calories and offers a lot more nutrition.

Instead of cheese in your sandwich, add a slice of avocado. You'll swap good fats for bad ones.

Instead of cheese as a snack, have a slice of ripe avocado drizzled with lemon juice.

DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME

Here are three first-aid standbys you shouldn’t use and the better options.
Sprains and Strains
DON’T > Heat Pack “This isn’t the most effective way to treat a muscle or joint injury,” says Joe Mulligan from the British Red Cross. When you are injured, you bleed internally. Adding heat may make you bleed more.
DO > Wrapped Icepack “The best way to treat these injuries is to remember RICE,” he says. R is for rest. Don’t try to walk it off. I is for ice. Apply ice wrapped in a tea towel. C is for compress. Support the injury with a bandage. E is for elevate. Raise the injury above the level of the heart.
Severe Bleeding
DON’T > Tourniquet Using these can do more harm than good as they can stop blood supply to the whole limb, increasing the risk of tissue damage or even the loss of the limb.
DO > Pressure “The best option is to apply direct pressure to the wound using a pad,” says Mulligan. Try to raise the affected area above the heart to help the bleeding slow down.
If blood continues to seep through, cover with a second bandage and continue to apply pressure.
Burns and Scalds
DON’T > Creams Mulligan says it is not advisable to apply any creams or ointments to burns straight away.
DO > Water “It’s best to place the affected area under cold running water for at least ten minutes,” he says. “The aim is to stop the burning and relieve pain.”

Hello, I want to share about 10 LED’s running light. This product just needs 10 LEDs that solder in a series place. These LED as a source of light which has a various wavelengths, size, colour and also shape. A 16 pin IC also called integrated circuit. IC is too sensitive. We must solder it carefully. If it solder with a high voltage, it will destroyed. IC applied also as oscillator, amplifier, computer memory chip and so on. Besides, this product also needs trimmer pot (trimmer potentiometer), 5 resistors with the different value. These resistors have function to limit a current. Two transistors also used in this circuit. Semiconductor device used to amplify or switch electronic signals. There two types of transistor which are PNP and NPN. But for this circuit, PNP transistor is used. In addition to that, three capacitors are used to limit the current. The unit of capacitor is in Farad. Last but not least 9volt of battery is used as a source of voltage

Salam, this is about a women safety

1)Walking on the street
~Walk on the opposite side of the road where you can see traffic coming towards you. Do not listen to your iPod/walkman while walking because you’ll be “shut out” from your surroundings and become an easy target.
2)Handphone
~Don’t use your handphone while walking on the street. This makes you an easy target.
3)Bling bling
~Avoid wearing valuable jewellery if you are taking public transportation or walking alone in the car park. You could be a prime target.
4)Moviegoer
~Try not to go to the cinemas alone to avoid being a target for sexual harassment or assault.
5)Cash in hand
~Avoid going to the ATM alone especially if you are withdrawing a substantial amount of cash. Try to go with a friend and always be aware of your surroundings.
6)Keep calm
~While driving, please do not show “the finger” when you are stressed out. This could lead to violence or road bullying because you do not know who you are dealing with.
7)Taking the lift
~If you are working late, avoid sharing the lift with a man. This may lead to sexual harassment or other criminal acts.
8)For smokers
~If you smoke inside the car, do not completely wind down your window and rest your arm on it.
9)Drive safe
~When driving, do not put your handbag / laptop on the passenger seats, whether in front or at the back.
10)Poorly lit areas
~Avoid dark or poorly lit streets and alleys even if it means taking a longer route to your destination.

With hope, we as a women could take a good care of our life.

SUNBURN...(HOW IT WORKS)

It's a little more complicated than a simple heat-and-char process. Immediately after sun exposure, you'll see some pink skin: That comes from dilation of the capillaries in reaction to ultraviolet B rays. ''The actual burn you see later comes from a series of chemical reactions,Mast cells in the skin release chemicals like histamine and serotonin, triggering more chemical production and inflammation. Within 12 hours, skin cells begin to die, and inflammation turns the skin a darker red.

UV radiation damages your DNA, setting you up for possible skin cancer and suppressing immunity. But your skin does try to fight back. As soon as you're exposed to UV radiation, cells called melanocytes release melanin pigment that blocks UV rays – in the form of a tan that can reflect UV light. You've heard it before, but it bears repeating: To prevent burns, use a sunscreen that blocks both UVA and UVB rays, and reapply often.

Salam, I think almost of you that like travel whether jungle trekking, mount climbing and others. I want to share the tips for travelling

1) Radiance Booster
~To give your skin a quick booster of radiance and hydration, bring disposable tissue masks with you on the flight. Dermo Expertise white Perfect Tissue Mask from L'oreal Paris is a great way to give you instant radiance and hydration after only 10 minutes’ application.
2) Swelling Feet
~The pressure in an airplane cabin often causes water retention and hence, swollen feet. Wear a pair of old, comfortable shoes or even socks and slippers on board. You can always change to your smart shoes once you get to the airport.
3) Re-hydrate your skin
~When you travel on long flghts, the air in the airplane cabin is really dry. That is why it is important to apply hydrating moisturizer to avoid dehydrated skin. Applying Dermo Expertise Hydra Fresh Aqua-Essence from L'oreal Paris will replenish the skin's natural moisture
4) Pack and Roll
~You can actually stuff more into your suitcase if you roll your clothes. Creases are less pronounced and it's easy to pick out which roll you need instead of lifting up the folds.
5) Lip liner magic
~Forget the bulky lipstick and bring a lip liner and lip-gloss instead. Line the lips, blend a little and top with gloss. It is perfect for a quick trip.
6) Snack right
~Keep a couple of yogurt bars or crackers in your purse or carry-on bag. They come in handy if your flight is delayed or if you have a late arrival after all the shops have closed.
6) Safe hotel rooms
~If you’re travelling alone, be sure to ask for secure hotel rooms. Ask for a room in a well-lit area near the elevator and away from emergency exits, stairwells and service doors. Ask not to be placed at the end of a long corridor.
7) Pre-loved clothes
~Need to buy winter wear but don’t want to shell out too much cash? Bring only one sweater and one jacket to your destination and visit the opportunity shop once you get there. A good pre-loved coat won’t set you back much and you can always donate it again at the end of the trip.
8) Colder climates
~A trip during winter can be a nightmare to pack for. Wear your oldest T-shirts under layers of winter clothes. You can ditch them at the end of the trip and make space for your shopping.
9) Minimise the makeup
~Wear as little makeup as possible on the plane. To ensure that you arrive at your destination looking fresh, moisturize before and during your flight and apply your makeup after you land at your destination

I think, these tips is more focusing on girls and women.

Singing Away Your Troubles.....

You might think warbling in the privacy of the shower is a great way to start the day - and kinder to others - but it seems that those who sing in a group get the most benefit. Choral singers in England, Germany and Australia reported that singing improved their mood and quality of life in a survey this year by Canterbury Christ Church University. Co-author Professor Stephen Clift says singing helped some participants’mental and physical health problems. The physiological benefits of singing have also been studied recently by Dr Maria Sandgren of the University of Stockholm in Sweden. Provisional results show that singing releases oxytocin, a hormone that indicates a sense of bonding and security. In an earlier study Dr Sandgren found that amateur singers were happier after a singing lesson.

Salam, want to stay healthy? Why? For sure it is because we want stay for a long time without any diseases right? How to stay healthy? So, lets me share the tips for that. The more important is, we must eat right to stay healthy.
1) Unsalted Taste
~Bear in mind that salt in great quantities exist in processed food and too much of it tends to raise blood pressure heights, which could lead to heart diseases and strokes. Less is more here, and none would be better!
2) Say No to Sweet
~This certainly applies to sugar and fat in our diets. Fat is necessary, as unsaturated fats helps keep cholesterol levels down. It isn't only the high calorie content you have to worry about but also tooth decay, diabetes etc.
3) Go Fish
~Whether your choice of poison is a hot and spicy fish curry or the healthier sushi, include fish in your diet as often as possible. It is low in fat, high in protein and an excellent source of omega 3 fatty acids - an all-round great-for-health ingredient.
4) Green is in
~You know what they say about fruit and vegetables keeping you regular. While you may not be a big fan of greens, remember that you need to consume at least five portions of a variety of fruits and vegetables daily, from fruit juice to vegetable soup.
5) Carbo Power
~ Make sure your diet has enough starch - bread, cereal, rice, potatoes, or pasta - daily, but keep the portions small and healthy with wholegrain bread or brown rice. These food items are a great source of energy and come packed with various nutrients.
6) Big Breakfast
~A quick cup of coffee and nothing else before heading out to work? No wonder you feel out-of-sorts and lethargic. This is the most important meal of the day and it’ll give you energy to face the day’s challenges. Do not overdose on carbs and sugar, though!
7) Don't Pig Out
~Moderation is the solution to end calorific cravings. Instead of a daily fix, opt to indulge in the most sinful cakes once a week. Also, eat small portions throughout the day, instead of persisting in pigging-out sessions at meal times.
8) Booze in Moderation
~Try to spread the boozing throughout the week instead of binge drinking throughout the weekend. Aside from causing liver damage, excessive alcohol is also bad for the figure as alcohol is high in calories!
9) Keep Fit
~While you may be a fan of every fad diet in town, bear in mind that there's no substitute for regular exercise. If you can't make time for it, opt for workout sessions in the course of daily life - take the stairs instead of the lift and walk to the corner shop instead of hopping into your car.
10) H20 A Must
~ Make sure you drink at least six to eight glasses of water a day. We lose so much of it in the business of living - through perspiration to breathing - so drink up. It’ll cleanse your body’s systems and clear out skin too.

Remember that prevention is always better than cure.

Perfect Memory..

Can you get a photographic memory?

People born with true eidetic (photographic) memory are rare. Some autistic people have skills that lead them to develop a photographic memory.

A study of London cab drivers found that their brains changed over time in order to retain their encyclopaedic knowledge of the city's streets. There are no exercises that will improve your memory overall, but if you put in the time, you can stimulate parts of it.

For example, get a friend to show you objects on a tray for three minutes, then cover them. Try to recall what they all were....

Do Malaysians shower before going to bed?
Less than half of Malaysians hit the showers before they turn in for the day.
According to a recent survey conducted by CloveTWO.com and Kosmo! newspaper, only 44% shower right before going to bed.
Still, while showering before bedtime is important, it's absolutely crucial that antibacterial soap/shower gel – such as Lifebuoy's antibacterial soap - is used.
When showering, extra attention should be given to areas of the body where most people neglect, such as the back, behind ones ears and ankles, and between the toes – all bacteria-prone spots.
And why is it important to shower just right before bedtime? Well, simply because everyone, whatever their age, are constantly exposed to bacteria; at school, in the garden, at the office etc.
Then of course there's the little forgotten fact that the bed itself makes for the perfect breeding ground for all sorts of microorganisms. Dead skin cells, perspiration, the body's natural oils etc all contribute to making your bed the ideal harbourage for bacteria, dust mites, and bed bugs. All these could lead to a wide range of health problems.
Showering in the morning, before the activities of the day, is also recommended. It freshens up the body, removing the build-up of bacteria during the night, and of course, perks you up to start the day.
For those with sensitive skin who are prone to skin irritation that leads to scratching, showering twice a day - in the morning and night - is absolutely vital

Why is the letter "W" called "double u" but not "double v".It looks more like two "v" put together."Hahahaha....are you had thinked about it???

OK..
According to the experts at AskOxford.com,English uses the Latin alphabet of the Romans but the latter had no letter suitable for representing the phoneme "w" used in Old English. The earliest form for "w" was probably the "uu" that was used by scribes in the seventh century. Some of the scribes later replaced the "uu" with the runic symbol known as "wynn".

European scribes continued to use the "uu" term and this usage was brought back to England along with the Norman Conquest in 1066. Early printers sometimes used "vv" for the lack of a "w" in their type but the pronunciation "double u" stuck around till now.....

Salam, here I want to share something that I had heard on 29th March 2009. On that day, I went to Jom Heboh at Kuantan. There I go to the booth for Jejak Rasul and Al-Kuliyyah. While waiting for my friend, my roommate and me stay there and heard the speech. But too sorry, I forget the name of the speaker. There, he gave a speech about how to teach child with good. There are a lot of perspectives that we need to think about our child. But, here I just list it four.
1) We need to think that our children as a ‘decoration of world’.
~ In Al-Quran also state that children is a estate and also decoration of world
2) Children as a ‘coolant of eyes’
~ As a parent, we need to think that way. Parent cannot think that when they look their child, they feel too anger and other bad feeling.
3) Children as a ‘descent continuous’
~ With children, our descent will continuous for a long time. Hence, to produce a good descent, a good teaching for them is too important. Remember that children always follow what their parent do.
4) Children as ‘heart’
~ I think that, all of parents in the world love their children. They will do anything for their children
Besides that, The Prophet Muhammad SAW said as a parent, they cannot give luxury obviously to their children. He also lives without luxury although his father is an excellent merchant. Allah had died his father before his born.
Besides that, we can look this from the TV3 with tittles ‘Deraka Neraka’. This movie is show about a rich family. His children always get what he wants. His mother never asks him what he wants to do. His mother also always trusts him. On that day, he says, ‘this all because of you, you give me want I want’. Here, who is wrong? A mother or children?
Hence, as a good child, we must do all the best in our life. We must success with a superb result. Do we want our parent cry because our failure, don’t we?

COLOUR VIBRATION THERAPY

Have you ever heard about CVT or colour vibration therapy?if you're not, lets read this becouse it quite interesting as far as less people know about it.Frankly,i have experianced use this treatment and the result was amazing.

CVT is the first treatment in the world pioneered by Prof. Dr. Sir Norhisham Wahab to combine light, colour and sound vibrations to treat patients from almost any illness or diseases. More importantly, CVT is not only based on science and scientific research, but it also does not infringe upon any religious teachings. It allows patients to heal naturally with no side effects.

CVT believe that the disease is a form of energy. The law of energy states that the energy can neither be created nor be destroyed; it can only be transformed from one form to another repeatedly. CVT treats not only a physical disease, but also a spiritual disease such as a black magic and wedges/ poisons. When the body falls sick, it means that the energy of the body is unbalance.

So if you're sick or have a problem about your health, you can find an altelnative treatment such as CVT instaed of taking a pill from the hospital.

If you are out of shape or have existing health problems, you should always seek your doctor's advice before embarking on an exercise regime. Bear in mind that you can have too much of a good thing: over-exercising, exercising with an incorrect technique or too much weight loss can harm bone development and cause injuries. To avoid strain, sprains and other injuries, follow these recommendations:
Warm up before exercise This helps to avoid muscle injuries by preparing your body for activity. Stretching is especially important in the morning, when muscles are less flexible and injuries more likely.

Cool down after exercise Rather than stopping abruptly, do a few gentle stretches to avoid aches and pains later.

Exercise with your limits Build up slowly, pace yourself and listen to your body; pain is a warning sign, so never ignore or try to work through it.

Avoid sudden twisting movements Movements that cause you to sharply bend or twist your back can place excessive strain on your spine, especially if you are out of shape.

Stay hydrated Water is important to maintain your core temperature during exercise and prevent fatigue and muscle cramps.

Wear supportive shoes Cushioned, flexible soles help to absorb shocks and prevent joint injury.

Before this everybody wrote about what they had read but this time I would like to share about my favorite song.I like this song because of the meaning of the lyric and also the song. The title of this song is 'Lucky' by Jason Mraz feat Colbie Caillat. Here the lyric of this song
Boy:
Do you hear me
I'm talking to you
Across the water
Across the deep blue ocean
Under the open sky
Oh my and baby I'm trying

Girl:
I hear you in my dreams
I feel your whisper across the sea
I keep you with me in my heart
You make it easier when life gets hard

Boy and girl:
Lucky I'm in love with my best friend
Lucky to have been where I have been
Lucky to be coming home again
Ohhhohhhohhhohhohhohhhohh

They don't know how long it takes
Waiting for a love like this
Every time we say goodbye
I wish we had one more kiss
I wait for you, I promise you I will

Lucky I'm in love with my best friend
Lucky to have been where I have been
Lucky to be coming home again
Lucky we're in love in every way
Lucky to have stayed where we have stayed
Lucky to be coming home someday

And so I'm sailing through the sea
To an island where we'll meet
You'll hear the music fill the air
I'll put a flower in your hair

Though the breezes through the trees
Move so pretty, you're all I see
As the world keeps spinning around
You hold me right here right now

Lucky I'm in love with my best friend
Lucky to have been where I have been
Lucky to be coming home again
Lucky we're in love in every way
Lucky to have stayed where we have stayed
Lucky to be coming home someday
Ohhhohhhohhhohhohhohhhohhohhohhohh

hope everybody hear this song and enjoy.

I believe every people have always encounter with stress. but sometimes we do not know how to confront with it properly. So today i want to share an article about stress.

Believe it or not, you can learn how to largely eliminate stress. I don't mean eliminate the pressures in your life - those will probably persist. The way I think of it, pressure is what is happening to you, but stress is how you react to those pressures. So, you can keep the pressure and get rid of the stress. In another words, you may enjoy your stress and benefit from them. But how?
A good example of this comes from the study of stress in executives. Several studies have shown that low and middle level executives show many stress symptoms, like ulcers, high blood pressure, tension, burnout and so on. Top executives, however, as a group show much fewer stress signs. There are exceptions in both directions, of course. Why do big wigs show fewer signs of stress? There may be many reasons, like more control over their lives, but it is hard to believe they don't have pressures. So why don't they get as stressed out? Probably the main reason is that they are either naturally stress resistant or have learned how to handle the pressure without letting it eat them up. It's like the old saying, "If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen".

How to save enough gas everyday

Using your car for only important issues can help you save gas, because you will get to use it less. You don't have to take your car to the shopping mall the next time you want to buy groceries if you want to save gas. Using your car less often can help you save gas.

A ten percent loss of gas can be registered by car drivers who drive at 65mph than car drivers who drive at 57mph. If you want to improve the fuel economy of your car, drive at the right speed. Driving too fast increases your car's tendency to jackrabbit and therefore increases the rate at which you lose gas.

Part of the gas saving techniques that you can employ to make gas last longer in your car is to dump all extra weights out of your car. Extra car weights only ends up causing your car to consume more gas than it necessarily should.

Gas prices now cost three to four dollars a gallon. In some parts of the United States, gas cost more than three dollars a gallon. On the whole, you could pay up to a hundred dollars for a brand of gas. Isn't that enough reason to do all you can to save gas?

Some people think that warming up a car after you put it on helps it. In reality, warming your car for over five minutes is idling; and idling with your car is a fast way of wasting gas.

Want to save gas? Loving and taking very good care of your car is the beginning of gas savings. If you take very good care of your car all the time and ensure it doesn't have problems, this will result in less consumption of gas and save you a lot of money you would have otherwise spent on extra gas.

Some department stores and grocery stores offer gas credit cards for interested car owners. A gas credit card can help you save tremendously on gas. At certain places you can surely get gas for far les than standard price with their membership cards. So, take the time to search before picking just any.

When you purchase goods and services online, you reduce the number of times that you buy gas. Online shopping is a great gas saver for many car owners. if you want to save gas, shopping online is one way to go.

Soul mates : What they mean, and when you Can find yours

A soul mate is someone we feel a deep and profound connection to. Someone with whom we feel completely ourselves with. Someone that we love unconditionally and they love us unconditionally. And without trying to sound too sentimental, someone who completes us.

I believe everyone has a soul mate, and with a little focused time and energy everyone can find theirs. While most people think of a soul mate in romantic terms, I also believe that there are other kinds of soul mate relationships. For instance, look at the friendship and connection that Oprah and Gayle King share. I would definitely call that a soul mates relationship. I also believe you can have pets that connect with you on such a deep level that they deserve to be called soul mates.

In the movie “Shall We Dance?” with Richard Gere & Susan Sarandon there is a terrific scene where Sarandon’s character is talking about why we would want a her soul mate relationship and says:

“We need a witness to our lives. There's a billion people on the planet... I mean, what does any one life really mean? But in a marriage, you're promising to care about everything. The good things, the bad things, the terrible things, the mundane things... all of it, all of the time, every day. You're saying 'Your life will not go unnoticed because I will notice it. Your life will not go un-witnessed because I will be your witness'."

That's what a soul mate is.

'Catwoman' nabbed by police after high speed car chase.

A woman believed to be involved in several burglary and car theft cases was arrested after a high-speed car chase here on Monday.
Pahang CID deputy chief Supt Nordin Mustapha said prior to the 5am incident, a patrol car had stopped the Proton Wira car driven by her boyfriend near the Kampung Lamir junction in Pekan.

"When the policemen asked them to show their identity cards, the boyfriend sped off towards Kuantan. After being chased for about 50km by the police, the man finally stopped his car in Kampung Pandan here and fled on foot, leaving the girlfriend in the car," he told reporters yesterday.

Following a search, he said police found several sharp objects, car plate numbers, burglary tools and master keys, believed to have been used in burglaries and car theft.

The 31-year-old woman, who is from Terengganu, was being held for further investigation, while a manhunt has been launched to track down the man, Nordin added.

Robbed, raped after stopping to help

KAJANG: A trip to a friend's house in Bandar Mahkota Cheras turned into a nightmare for a couple after they were robbed at knife point and the woman raped.
The couple was driving to visit their friend when they noticed two men by the roadside waving for assistance about 10pm on Thursday.

The 26-year-old man stopped the car to ask how he could help. One of the two men, believed to be Indonesians, threatened him with a knife.

They got into the car and ordered him to drive to a deserted area 300 metres away.

Six other men were waiting there. The man and his girlfriend were ordered to get down from the car and hand over their personal belongings.
As they did so, the man ran and escaped the robbers. Upon reaching the nearest house, he borrowed a phone and called the police. During this time, the girlfriend, a 24-year-old China national, was dragged into a forest by two men who took turns to rape her.

A police patrol car responded to the man's call and took him back to the scene of the incident. There, they arrested a man and rescued the traumatised girlfriend.

my comment:
we shouldn't trust anyone nowadays.so, if you met somebody in night don't stop.our safety more important.

'HOTEL FOR DOGS'

This movie actually I want to watch.I think this movie very interesting because we never have a hotel to dogs or others animal. So, why don't we build a hotel or just a house for animal so people can leave their pets when they go to a vacation. Here the synopsis about this movie.

"Hotel For Dogs" is an all round sentimental film on the strong bond between two siblings and a bunch of stray dogs that they so passionately take care of in an abandoned hotel. Interestingly enough, this so-called 'abandoned' hotel is fully furnished and comes with expensive furniture! All that we need is some cleaning up by our four young stars and voila - a cosy hotel is open, complete with unique and wacky inventions, for the benefit of both man and dog. One must admit, these inventions certainly are useful if you are a dog owner!

The story is very simple; Andi (Emma Roberts) and her younger brother Bruce (Jake T. Austin) have a secret - an adorable and intelligent Jack Russell Terrier called Friday with an appetite the size of the world. When they could no longer keep their beloved pet in their apartment, they do whatever they can to find a good home for him. Pretty soon, they stumble across an old abandoned hotel inhabited by two strays - Lenny, a Giant Bull Mastiff and Georgia, the small Bull Terrier with the knack of fetching almost anything. The idea to rescue homeless animals is born. Surprisingly enough, most of the dogs brought in are pedigrees, something that is hard to come by if you're walking on the streets really.

In this typical children's flick, almost all the adults are portrayed as evil, from Andi and Bruce's foster parents to the animal control officers. The only attraction here are of course the dogs and the charismatic Emma Roberts ("Nancy Drew") as she so convincingly plays her part as the protective older sister. The camera absolutely loves her. Seeing Lisa Kudrow once again on screen was also exciting as she plays a foster mother who doesn't really know the true meaning of parenting.

However, not everything is sweet in this film as the dog pound scene is tough - imagine death row dogs and a sign bearing "Dogs will be executed after 72 hours". It touched on the issue of mercy killing for animals and introduces the option of a no-kill animal shelter.

The pets in "Hotel For Dogs" performed extremely well and come off really adorable with their cute antics. However, there's not enough humour to make it a truly memorable comedy.

What?!!The male seahorse can give birth?

The answer is yes! The male seahorse can give birth. Seahorse is a type of fish. It was a kind of carnivore and its groupname was herd. Its size were relatively small as a cup of coffee. Back on the title above, the male seahorse can give birth to as few as 1 and as many as 2,000 "fry" at a time and pregnancies last everywhere from two to four weeks, depending on the species. When the fry are ready to born, the male undergoes muscular contractions to expel them from his pouch. He typically gives birth at a night and is ready for the next batch of eggs by morning when his mate returns.

However, the female seahorse was the producer of the eggs then it took the eggs in the male's pouch for the production.

INNER GROWTH: Our Earth, our responsibility

INCREASING awareness of how we may work together and encourage others to understand the responsibility we have for our beautiful world will be a positive step towards a better future.

Within all religious beliefs, there is an inherent understanding of man’s responsibility to care for the environment.

A truly ecological lifestyle is one that reflects respect for ourselves and life around us.

When we take responsibility for our actions, it will become much easier to care for the environment. The natural world is our home. When we live together with love and co-operation, we form a natural balance with nature.

When Earth’s inhabitants realise their responsibility to look after it, then our planet becomes whole and healthy again.
Nature offers us everything in balance. By manipulating nature, people endeavour to conquer time and space not knowing that they are paying a heavy price in terms of physical and mental well-being as a result.

We are partly responsible for the ill-effects of today’s climate change. Thus, we have to put

it right.

Last Saturday, members of the Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University participated in Earth Hour 2009 by switching off all lights and sitting in candle-lit meditation in their respective centres, between 8.30pm and 9.30pm.

By supporting the international effort against global warming, we not only allowed the earth to rest and heal but also allowed our mind to be at peace and to reflect on what we need to do.

By being peaceful, we are also contributing towards an environment at peace with itself.

If you're like many people, the start of the day isn't your favourite time. So here are some tips you can sneak into your routine without much effort. Try at least one of these tomorrow . . .
Stretch every extremity for 15 seconds. Try this before you open your eyes. Lift your arm and begin by stretching each finger, then your hand, then your wrist, then your arm. Repeat with the other arm. Then your toes, feet, ankles and legs. End with a neck and back stretch that propels you out of bed. You've just limbered up your muscles and joints, and enhanced the flow of blood through your body, providing an extra shot of oxygen to all your tissues.
Brush your tongue for one minute. There's no better way to rid yourself of morning breath and begin the day minty fresh. Hundreds of bacteria take up residence in your mouth every night, so just brushing your teeth alone isn't going to vanquish them all.
Drink a glass of water. Remember, you've been fasting all night long, so you wake each morning dehydrated.
Check your morning calendar. Have a large calendar or whiteboard in a prominent position in the kitchen. On it, write everything you need to know for that day. Check it each morning as you sip your coffee - it will help you avoid the stress of forgetting something important.
Kiss all the people you love in your house (including the dog and cat) before you leave. Connecting with the ones you love soothes stress and gives a positive start to your day.

SING...
As u know, singing is the best way to reduce our stress during study. U may sing in the toilet, in class, in your own shower bath, or ever in front of public. A survey has been done by Canterbury Christ Church University states that choral singers in England, Germany and Australia had improved their mood and quality of life just by singing. Co-author Professor Stephen Clift says singing helped some participants’mental and physical health problems. Dr Maria Sandgren from University of Stockholm in Sweden also had studied about the benefit of singing. Provisional results show that singing releases oxytocin, a hormone that indicates a sense of bonding and security. In an earlier study Dr Sandgren found that amateur singers were happier after a singing lesson.

What do you know about PPSMI??
As we all know, this PPSMI is suggested by our government to improve our English on teaching of Science and Mathematics in English because both of this subjects are the important in schools nowadays. This PPSMI is suggested to be continued. Here, I want to give some opinion about this matter. For me, this action has it advantages and disadvantages. I agree if government want to continue this because it can help student to be fluent in English and to build our self-confidence. Besides that, people wouldn’t underestimate our country when we have students who have high self-confidence with good communication skills. It also can make us proud to be Malaysian when Malaysia be a well known country in the world. So, we as students have to support our government effort to make our country developed.

After u having some activities under sun light, u will see that your skin slowly turn to pink colour and then getting dark. U know why? This is because u have surn burn. Do u know how sun burn process happen???
-after sun exposure, you’ll see some pink skin. That comes from dilation of capillaries in reaction to ultraviolet B rays.
-most skin release chemicals like histamine and serotonin, triggering more chemical production and inflammation.

Global Warming..
Global warming is the increase in the average temperature of the Earth's near-surface air and the oceans since the mid-twentieth century and its projected continuation. There are many reasons why this phenomenon occurs. Increasing global temperature will cause sea levels to rise and will change the amount and pattern of precipitation, likely including expansion of subtropical deserts. The greenhouse effect is that the increase in atmospheric greenhouse gases due to human activity has caused most of the warming observed since the start of the industrial era and that the observed warming cannot be satisfactorily explained by natural causes alone. When a warming trend results in effects that induce further warming, the process is referred to as a positive feedback; when the warming results in effects that act to reduce the original warming, the process is referred to as a negative feedback. The main positive feedback involves the tendency of warming to increase the amount of water vapor in the atmosphere. The main negative feedback is the effect of temperature on emission of infrared radiation: as the temperature of a body increases, the emitted radiation increases with the fourth power of its absolute temperature.

why study mathematics...

Did all of you think that what the use for us to study mathematics? What teacher has not heard a student complain, “When am I ever going to have to use this?” Did not most of us ask it ourselves, once upon a time? And unless we choose a math-intensive career like engineering, the truth is that after we leave school, most of us will never again use most of the math we learned. But if math beyond arithmetic is not all that useful, then what is the point?
Actually maths got a lot of usage for us although we did not notice it. We study mathematics for:
To understand creation – Maths is beautiful, suprising, enjoyable, and interesting. In fact, maths is the closest that we humans get to true magic. Maths connect ideas that otherwise seem totally unrelated, revealing deep similarities that subsequently show up in nature.
To train our minds - The investigation of mathematical truths accustoms the mind to method and correctness in reasoning, and is an employment peculiarly worthy of rational beings.
To understand history - In most sciences, one generation tears down what another has built, and what one has established another undoes. In mathematics alone, each generation adds a new story to the old structure. Biographical history, as taught in our public schools, is still largely a history of boneheads: ridiculous kings and queens, paranoid political leaders, compulsive voyagers, ignorant generals — the flotsam and jetsam of historical currents.
To appreciate the beauty - The mathematician’s patterns, like the painter’s or the poet’s, must be beautiful. The ideas, like the colors or the words, must fit together in a harmonious way. Beauty is the first test: there is no permanent place in this world for ugly mathematics.
To enjoy the mental challenge

Here, I want to tell all of you that maths really can let us enjoy the mental challenge. When we are doing a complicated maths question, we will use all of our brain to think of it so that we can get the answer. This can let our mental to experience a huge difference so we will feel very enjoy when we are doing it. I hope all of you also will like to study mathematics because it is actually a subject that make us happy.

As i was wondering to what should I read on so that I can do my reading review, I came across a heading that entitled " Rare Mummy found with strange artifacts" i immediately clicked on that topic. For your information I've always liked anything that's got to do with mummies. There is just a mystery surrounding them that makes me intrigued. From what I've read, it is said that the mummy was found in an ancient town of Rontoy. The mummy was nicknamed 'Kiko Rontoy' by the archaeologist who found it. The mummy was found disemboweled and placed in layers of cotton and wooden textiles to aid his preservation. With the mummy also the archaeologist found offerings of abundant corn, a necklace of silver metal beads, wooden figurine that are thought to be signs of the individual's high rank. So what can i learn from this article, well I think with the disovery of this mummy, The archaeologist could examine and study this mummy thoroughly and from the examinations of this mummy maybe we could gain some knowledge on how does the ancient Peru people live back in those days. Besides that, the new generation of the Peruvian people can be proud of their unique heritage....

Wondering what am i talking about? Well, visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Butterfly#In_culture to discover an amazing insect, BUTTERFLY! You can find many interesting informations about this beautiful insect.

Butterflies have been used in artistic depictions in many cultures including Egyptian hieroglyphics 3500 years ago.

Butterflies also used as symbols in some culture. For example, one Japanese superstition says that if a butterfly enters your guest room and perches behind the bamboo screen, the person whom you most love is coming to see you. In Chinese culture two butterflies flying together are a symbol of love. Interesting, isn't it?

In some old cultures, butterflies also symbolize rebirth into a new life after being inside a cocoon for a period of time.
Some people say that when a butterfly lands on you it means good luck.

I guess all of us should visit a butterfly park especilly before our final exams to get good luck! Hehe=p

Visualize Your Way to Success

What do gold medalists Natalie Coughlin, Misty May-Treanor, Kerri Walsh and Michael Phelps have in common with the rest of us? No matter how hard these champions have trained, no matter how genetically well-endowed they are (and they are!), without mental strength, there’s no way any of them would have made it to the podium.

Controlling the way they think is their number one weapon—and it’s something the rest of us can do, too.
We need a bit of extra motivation and inspiration to get what we want..

i just done reading an article about the WHITE AMUR TIGER..
this kind of tiger can be list as a mythical creature on earth as the existence of pure white amur tiger has not been scientifically proven despite occasional reports of sightings of white tigers in th regions where wild siberian tigers live. From what i read,it is quite possible that the gene for white coating does not exist in the siberian tigers population..
the wild siberian tigers population was nearly extincnt during the middle of 20th century.
the famous white siberian tiger in captivity are actually not the pure one.
It is actuallty a result of siberian tigers breeding with bengal tigers from india.
a white tiger is considered a mutant variant of the tiger subspecies.
the estimation of wild tigers births resulting in a white tiger is 1 to 10,000.
well..
beside the loch ness monster,
the extra terrestrials, the yetis of tibetan...there were other mythical animal that not yet been discover but the possibility is there.

well thats all for now..
i'll come back with another story of the mythical BLACK TIGER..

CPR...

The letters in CPR stand for cardiopulmonary resuscitation, a combination of rescue breathing (mouth-to-mouth resuscitation) and chest compressions. If a child isn't breathing or circulating blood adequately, CPR can restore circulation of oxygen-rich blood to the brain. Without oxygen, permanent brain damage or death can occur in less than 8 minutes.
CPR may be necessary for children during many different emergencies, including accidents, near-drowning, suffocation, poisoning, smoke inhalation, electrocution injuries, and suspected sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS).
There are three part of CPR :-

A is for airway
B is for breathing
C is for circulation

Tackle Your Food Issues

The reason we use food as a source of comfort has been examined from every angle by individuals a lot smarter than me. I'm not here to tell you what to do, but I want to give you a few suggestions on how to deal with tackling a food issue.

1. Do not skip breakfast.

People are 75% more likely to overeat the rest of the day if they skip breakfast. Now, if you have a hard time wanting food in the morning, make a nutritional smoothie: Throw in some frozen fruit, greens, protein powder, a little almond butter for satisfying fat and your liquid of choice. Oatmeal is an easy one in the morning. I have said this a lot, but remember that sugary cereal (aka cardboard with sugar) and bagels are not breakfast. Boil eggs and eat with a slice of toast or some avocado. Get your day started right.

2. Bored at work or home? Find a distraction other than food.

If you're at work and have a break, go for a walk or bring a healthy snack to eat. If you're doing "the kitchen roam" and find yourself with the fridge open, call a friend or give yourself an indulgent 10 minutes online. This will be one of the only times I say this, but go look up something silly or even informative online to distract yourself from food.

3. Eat only when you are hungry.

Don't just mindlessly shove food in your face because it's something to do. If you can not stop eating when you are bored, then try substituting it with a new habit.

4. Eat until you are full.

Put it in front of me and I will eat it. Hey, I was always taught to clean my plate, so of course I will eat until all my food is gone, even if it's long after I'm full. Either control your portions, or buy smaller dinner plates. If you are out to eat, (even if it feels
tacky) have them put half your food to go as soon as you get it.

Eat smarter..

Solar eclipse..
Do you know how solar eclipse occurred??
This phenomenon occurred when moon is beside earth that facing the sun. Astronomists can be assumed about the places where the solar eclipses will happen and how long it could occur specifically. They also can explain whether it is fully occurred or half-eclipses. If the moon fully encircles the sun, the eclipse that will be occurred is fully eclipsed. And when it occurs, the moon will look dark and only one weather is bright around it. At least twice a year solar eclipse will occur and mostly five times in year.

How to Make Brownies

We all enjoy good food, its like having a good companion. I believe most of us buys cakes from the pastries outlet. How about if we try to bake our own cakes? Here is one of my favourite, the superbly delicious yummy brownies...

Things You’ll Need:
•1/2 c. butter
•2 oz. unsweetened chocolate
•2 eggs
•1 c. sugar
•1 tsp. vanilla
•3/4 c. all-purpose flour
•1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
•Groceries
•Baking Pans
•Double Boilers
•Rubber Spatula
•Saucepans
•Wire Cooling Rack
•Saucepans

Step1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Step2 Grease an 8-by-8-by-2-inch baking pan. Set aside.
Step3 Melt butter and chocolate together in a medium-sized saucepan over low heat. Or place them in a microwave-safe container and heat - 2 minutes at a time at 50 percent power - until melted (check after every 2 minutes). Remove from heat.
Step4 Stir in eggs, sugar and vanilla with a wooden spoon. Beat lightly until just combined.
Step5 Stir in flour and nuts.
Step6 Spread batter in baking pan. Bake 30 minutes.
Step7 Cool brownies on a wire rack. Cut into bars.

TIPS & WARNING:
•Don't overbake the brownies. You don't want them to be dry and crumbly when they cool.
•Vary the kind of nuts you use. Try almonds or pecans as well as the more-expected walnuts.
•Try adding chocolate chips or white chocolate chips to the batter.
Good luck!!

Is the national language still under threat?

After decades of promoting Bahasa Malaysia as a cardinal unifier of all Malaysians, is the national language now still under threat?
The “Gerakan Mansuh PPSMI” certainly thinks so, going by its abortive march to Istana Negara on Saturday to deliver a protest against the continued teaching of Science and Mathematics in English in schools.

It should be remembered that the policy was initiated six years ago out of alarm at the deterioration of intellectual acuity among Malaysian schoolchildren in all languages, not just Malay or English or, for that matter, their mother tongues. The teaching of Science and Maths in English is about education, not merely language. And the minister of education, having allowed this programme to run six years without apparently coming any closer to proper realisation, should seal this matter once and for all.

National astronaut cleared of wrongdoing

National Astronaut Datuk Dr Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor Sheikh may continue being under the Science, Technology and Innovation Ministry's payroll but he will have to subscribe to a more stringent contract.
Minister Datuk Dr Maximus Ongkili said probes into allegations that Dr Sheikh Muszaphar had been charging exorbitantly for motivational talks had been completed and that the orthopedic surgeon-turned-astronaut was given a show-cause letter, which he replied to.

The Ministry's legal unit will meet after the Chinese New Year to cover all loopholes and gray areas in Dr Sheikh Muszaphar's previous contract.Dr Sheikh Muszaphar had argued that he conducted talks, at night, outside of office hours. The probe also concluded that the astronaut had been conducting talks abroad and some of his commitment with the government contradicted with his engagements with the private sector.
The astronaut had become a millionaire by charging over RM8,000 an hour for each talk. Reports also claimed the fees did not include his hotel stays and flight tickets for appearances in Sabah and Sarawak.

I always admire to travel to all the places around the world. If i were given a chance, i would like to go to Paris and visit the most wonderful tower, which is Eiffel Tower. I know about this place when i watch a korean love story. The film was set at Paris and make me interested to know more about this place. According to history, The Eiffel Tower was built for the International Exhibition of Paris of 1889 commemorating the centenary of the French Revolution. The Prince of Wales, later King Edward VII of England, opened the tower. Of the 700 proposals submitted in a design competition, Gustave Eiffel's was unanimously chosen. Some special facts about Eiffel towel that I get from the internet are:
~At 300 metres (320.75m including antenna), and 7000 tons, it was the world's tallest building until 1930. ~
Other statistics include:
* 2.5 million rivets.
* 300 steel workers, and 2 years (1887-1889) to construct it.
* Sway of at most 12 cm in high winds.
* Height varies up to 15 cm depending on temperature.
* 15,000 iron pieces
* 1652 steps to the top.

How did the phrase ''spelling bee'' originate?

The word ''bee'' has three meanings, according to the Collins English Dictionary. Besides it being the name of the insect family called Apoidea and a marine equipment used for reeving outhauls, it's also defined as a social gathering for a specific purpose. The origin of the term ''spelling bee'' has never been satisfactorily accounted for, says the Scripps National Spelling Bee, also known as the Bee.

''Spelling bee'' is apparently an American term that first appeared in print in 1875. However, they are certain the term was used orally years before that. The Bee also points out some scholars have rejected the social gathering explanation and have suggested this ''bee'' is a different word. One possibility is that it either comes from the Middle English word ''bene,'' which means prayer or favour, or a dialect form – ''been'' or ''bean,'' which refers to voluntary help given by neighbours towards the accomplishment of a particular task. No-one is entirely certain, the Bee concludes..........":^)

Got red, stinging eyes? You may have dry eyes syndrome. It’s caused by everything from contacts to rosacea, and can lead to impaired vision and eye infection, says Dr Robert Latkany, author of The Dry Eye Remedy. Ease the pain:
1)Eat fish In a study, women who ate tuna two or more times a week had decreased symptoms. Fish oil
supplements also help.
2)Rest your eyes at TV commercials Blinking produces tears, but when you stare at the screen, you blink less.
3)Give up contacts until your doc says it’s OK.
4)Get enough sleep As you snooze, the film coating your eyes is replenished. Skimping cheats your eyes of the process.

Calcium:A nutrient needed for muscle and bone development and more

It is wrong to think that as we grow up, we don’t need calcium anymore. It is true that developing bones need calcium, but it doesn’t stop there because maintaining a strong skeleton for life also requires calcium. Calcium also has a very important role in normalizing heart rhythms, blood clotting and muscular functions. Successful weight control and lower blood pressure can both be linked to adequate calcium intake.

Here are your daily calcium needs according to age:

-1,000 milligrams - 19-50 year olds
-1,200 milligrams - 51 years and up

Most people need only to include three servings of dairy food items a day in their balanced diet to meet their calcium requirements. Since calcium is best absorbed in the presence of lactose and natural milk sugar, then it is wise to try to get calcium from dairy foods.

Here are foods that provide 300 milligrams of calcium per serving:

-Milk/Yogurt (8 ounces)
-Calcium enriched orange juice (8 ounces)
-Hard cheese (1.5 ounces)
-Fortified soy beverage (8 ounces)

Other than just calcium, dairy foods and soy also contain magnesium while orange juice supplies you with potassium.

GEORGE TOWN: Police have uncovered a syndicate offering part-time jobs at the Immigration Department.

The scam was exposed after police received 30 reports from victims of the syndicate. It is believed that a total of 59 people had fallen prey to the syndicate. Commercial Crimes Department chief Assistant Commissioner Roslee Chik said police had already detained an immigration officer to assist in investigations. The immigration officer, in his 50s, who works at the Bayan Lepas International Airport, was arrested on Thursday. Roslee said the man was detained after police interrogated three other syndicate members -- two women in their 20s and 30s respectively, as well as a 73-year-old senior citizen -- who were arrested at a hotel in the city on the same day. Police also found an automated teller machine card and a savings account book belonging to the senior citizen, two handphones and RM2,250 from the suspects. Roslee said investigations showed the two women, from Kedah and Perak, would approach individuals to offer part-time jobs. "The senior citizen allowed his savings account to be used to deposit the money from the victims. "The immigration officer and the two women have been remanded until tomorrow, while the senior citizen has been freed on police bail." He urged those who had fallen prey to the scam to come forward and lodge police reports.

Comment:
People must be aware and don’t do bad things to get something easily. If we want something, we need to work hard to get it. Besides that, our hard work also can give us higher satisfaction when we success to get what we want to.

Petronas Twin Tower
Hey guys and girls, hope you all had a nice day... Now wanted to share about skyscrappers with you all. My 1st choice will be certainly the Petronas Twin Towers.
The Petronas Twin Towers were the tallest buildings in the world until Taipei 101, as measured to the top of their structural components (spires, but not antennas), took over the record.
The Sears Tower and the World Trade Center towers were each constructed with 110 occupied floors – 22 more than the Petronas Twin Towers’ 88 floors. The Sears Tower and the World Trade Center’s roofs and highest occupied floors substantially exceeded the height of the roof and highest floors of the Petronas Twin Towers. Therefore, the Petronas Twin Towers exceed the official height of the Sears Tower by 10m, but the Sears Tower has more floors with occupied office space at a higher level.
Designed by Argentine-American architect César Pelli, the Petronas Towers were completed in 1998 and became the tallest buildings in the world on the date of completion. They were built on the site of Kuala Lumpur's race track. Because of the depth of the bedrock, the buildings were built on the world's deepest foundations. The 120-meter foundations were built by Bachy Soletanche, and required massive amounts of concrete.
The 88-floor towers are constructed largely of reinforced concrete, with a steel and glass facade designed to resemble motifs found in Islamic art, a reflection of Malaysia's Muslim religion.
Below the twin towers is Suria KLCC, a shopping mall, and Dewan Filharmonik Petronas, the home of the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra.
Tower One is fully occupied by the Petronas Company and a number of its subsidiaries and associate companies. The office spaces in Tower Two are mostly available for lease to other companies. A number of companies have offices in Tower Two, including Accenture, Al Jazeera English, Carigali Hess Bloomberg, Boeing, IBM, Khazanah Nasional Berhad, McKinsey & Co, TCS, Krawler Networks, Microsoft, The Agency(A modeling company) and Reuters.
The towers feature a skybridge between the two towers on 41st and 42nd floors, which is the highest 2-story bridge in the world. The bridge is 170m above the ground and 58 m long, weighing 750 tons. The same floor is also known as the podium, since visitors desiring to go to higher levels have to change elevators here. The skybridge is open to all visitors, but free passes (limited to 1700 people per day) must be obtained on a first-come, first-served basis. Visitors are only allowed on the 41st floor as the 42nd floor can only be used by the tenants of the building.
Ok guys, that's all from me now... BUBYE...

Slumdog Millionaire
Hi guys, a month ago I watched a movie,'Slumdog Millionaire'. It was really nice to see a different kind of story revolving slums of Mumbai. A salute to the directors, Danny Boyle and Loveleen Tandan.
Another salute to the writters, Simon Beaufoy (screenplay) and
Vikas Swarup (novel). This movie won 8 Oscars. Another 75 wins & 26 nominations.
The story started when an eighteen year old Jamal Malik is having an amazing answering streak on the Indian version of the television game show, "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire". He's only one correct question away from the big prize. However, some, including those associated with the game show, question how someone like Jamal, a self confessed non-genius who grew up in the slums of Mumbai, can be doing so well on the show when others who are brighter, more educated and wealthier than him have failed. Is Jamal cheating? Is it purely luck that they have asked him the questions to which he knows the answers? Seeing Jamal's life journey to this point ultimately answers these questions. His life journey includes being orphaned at an early age; growing up with an older brother, Salim, who was both his guardian/protector and antagonist; and having a relationship since childhood with another orphaned child, a girl named Latika. His motivation for being on the show also may provide some answers to his success. Perhaps it was all just meant to be.
Hmmmm.... Perhaps you all should see the movie also which won 8 oscar awards.

RAJNIKANTH....
No Indians in this world will say that they don't know Super Star Rajnikanth, an actor of kollywood field in southern India.

Rajinikanth (born Shivaji Rao Gaekwad on December 12, 1950 in Bangalore, Karnataka, India) is an Indian film actor and one of the most influential and bankable movie stars in Indian cinema. Rajinikanth's mass popularity and appeal is largely drawn from his mannerisms and stylized delivery of dialogue. He received India's third highest honour, the Padma Bhushan, for his contribution to Indian cinema. Apart from his film career, he is a well known philanthropist and also serves as a notable influence in the politics of Tamil Nadu. Other than acting, Rajinikanth worked as a screenwriter, film producer, and also a playback singer.
Popularily referred to and credited in films as "Superstar" and often called as thalaivar (meaning leader in Tamil), Rajinikanth debuted as an actor in 1975 under the direction of K. Balachander in supporting roles. He was later favored in portraying antagonistic characters and gradually rose to acting in lead roles. Being a well known film artist to several regional film industries of India, he also appeared in the cinemas of other nations, including American cinema. He was reportedly paid Rs. 26 crore (about $5.3 million USD as of January 2009) for his latest blockbuster Sivaji: The Boss, making him the highest paid actor in Asia after Jackie Chan.
That's all from me today after I talk about my Super Star.

Jenny Tomlin and Kim Challinor had a brutal childhood, growing up in a house where no one was safe and violent beatings and sexual abuse were part of daily life. these are the two silent sisters who i admire when i read the 'silent sister' novel written by themselves.
This is a true story where two sisters who shared a nightmare and survived. bothe girls escaped the family home as soon as possible but in a sickening pattern of violence. jenny went on to suffer unimaginable degradations at the hands of her violent partner and kim had cope with the agony of watching history repeat itself. through all the horror, what kept the sister going was the extraordinarilly powerful bond between the two of them, which has survived terrifying pain and given them the strength to thriumph over the past.
This is a profoundly courageous tale of the strength of the human spirit and the redemptive power of love. everyone if got chance must read this superb novel to gain some experience of a tough life gone through by the two sisters.

BUYER BEWARE..

Six questions you should ask an offset company before handing over your cash:

1) do yur offers result from specific projects and what are they?

2) how long will it take for the project to offset my emissions?

3) can I follow the progress of the offsets I invest in?

4) do your projects meet the Gold Standard?

5) can you prove that the projects in your portfolio would not have happened without you?

6) can you show that you are not selling offsets more than once?

as a conclusion, BEWARE!!!

I love to eat chocolate very much..
now,I want share about
"BURN FAT BY EATING CHOCOLATE.."

Chocolate-loving(and eating) men are in better health than those who don't like it, say researches at Imperial College London and Nestle. Over 5 days, a group of healthy young men(half liked chocolate, half didn't) ate the same foods, plus a choice of bread or chocolate.Blood and urine tests showed the chocolate lovers proceseed fatty foods better and had lower LDL ("bad") cholesterol. So, indulging on occasion may have long-term benefits-but, researches say, only when paired with an otherwise healthy diet and lifestyle...

I think,it is good news for the chocolate-lovers...
especially me...
hehe...

What is life?

Does this sound like a strange question to you? Of course we all know what is meant by the word "life", but how would you define it?

Do all living things move? Do they all eat and breathe? Even though we all seem to know what is meant by saying something is "alive", it's not very easy to describe what "life" is. It's almost as hard as describing where life came from.

Even the biologists (people who study life) have a tough time describing what life is! But after many years of studying living things, from the mold on your old tuna sandwich to monkeys in the rain forest, biologists have determined that all living things do share some things in common:

1) Living things need to take in energy
2) Living things get rid of waste
3) Living things grow and develop
4) Living things respond to their environment
5) Living things reproduce and pass their traits onto their offspring
6) Over time, living things evolve (change slowly) in response to their environment

Therefore, in order for something to be considered to "have life" as we know it, it must possess these characteristics.

We all know people who complain endlessly about what they’ll do someday, how they’ll live someday, and so on.

They Always speak of "someday", but never have a plan how to get there. They don’t take that crucial step toward making someday be TODAY.

As we like to say, yesterday is just a memory, and tomorrow is a dream… Only The Now is real.

So how CAN you live the life of your dreams?
The best way to live the life of your dreams is to start living the life of your dreams Today, in every little way that you possibly can.

I have read an article about killer cells. Scientists at Ontario’s University Health Network (UHN) have discovered that colon cancer originates from rare, colon cancer stem cells within the tumors. Dr John Dick, the study’s principal investigator, and senior scientist at the Ontario Cancer Institute says that they found that not every tumor cell is equally capable of sustaining tumors in the colon. Only about 57000 cells in a colon cancer stem cells, but it is these rare cells that initiate the growth of the tumor, and then later differentiate into cancer cells.

MECCA..

Mecca (Makkah) in Saudi Arabia is Islam's holiest city and the birthplace of the prophet Muhammad, the founder of the Islamic faith. Over a billion Muslims around the globe face Mecca in devout prayer five times daily.

Holy pilgrimage to Mecca
The Holy Koran dictates that all Muslims in good health with adequate finances must make a pilgrimage (called the Hajj) to Mecca at least once in their lifetimes. About two million Muslims (from some 100 countries) make this religious journey each year. The visits are concentrated in the last month of the Islamic calendar. Mecca bursts at the seams during this peak period.

The sacred Ka’ba of Mecca
Mecca's focal point is the sacred black Ka'ba. This outdoor, near-cubic structure is draped in black and houses the holy Black Stone that Muslims believe was given by heaven to the prophet Abraham.

Circling the Ka'ba
As they pray, hundreds of thousands of shoulder-to-shoulder pilgrims circle the Ka'Ba in moving concentric rings. Each pilgrim must complete seven circuits.

Mosque and city
The Ka'ba is surrounded by the Great Mosque, which in turn is encircled by the city of Mecca.

Muslims only
Only Muslims may visit Mecca. Non-Muslims who sneak into this holy city risk dire consequences, sometimes execution.

Lets go to Mecca..huhu..

Good day everyone. I read an article about ways to sleep in Reader’s Digest edition January 2008. I would like to share information about ways to sleep. First of all we should let go of all our worries. There are few ways on how we can let go our worries. Firstly is by writing down our worries, deadlines or to-dos before hitting the pillow. Next we can do something that makes us relax. For instance, we can ask our partner to give us a massage or even do simple exercises that stretches our body and relaxes our muscles. Other way is by re-doing our bedroom. If we feel that the noise from the front room is noisy then we can move the bed to the other part of the room. We also can change the sagging mattress and deflated pillows to give us the mood of getting on bed. Finally we should cut the light at night because study shows that within two to three hours of sleep we get up due to bright light then our brains gets alerted and it is harder to sleep again after that. Therefore you can try these methods if you have sleeping disorder. Thank you for reading my comment.

Good day everyone. I would like to share my opinion about alternative medicine that are being used widely nowadays. In my opinion the government should legalize these alternative medicines after doing researches on that. This is because alternative medicines such as acupuncture, ayurveda, and herbal medication. Alternative medicine prove to work more than the conventional medicine because it treats the person as a whole and not the symptoms. In fact it is cheaper. People in coma state have regain consciousness after going through acupuncture. Nowadays the Western countries have started doing researches on alternative medicines therefore we too should start taking our steps towards there. Thank you for reading my comment.

Good day everyone. I would like to share my knowledge about two common causes of breast cancer. Firstly, we do not realize that by consuming a lot of red meat we are prone to getting breast cancer. This is because high consumption of red meat can increase the risk for hormone-receptor-positive breast cancer in premenopausal women. Other than that, we should not drink water from the plastic bottles that has been exposed to direct sunlight. This is because the chemical composition in the bottle can be produce compounds that causes breast cancer. Thus these are the most basic things that we can avoid in our daily life to prevent the cancer from attacking us. Thank you for reading my comment.
