This video clip tells us about all the most common mistakes that we did during the presentation and indeed it is!While watching this video,i recalled back the moment i did the mistakes during my presentation at secondary school and Form 6.I simply did the slide shows just want to complete my homeworks.I never thought about the effectiveness of the slides.Slide show should be as simple as possible and can be easily understood.I will make sure that my next presentation using Power Point can be interesting and convey my messages effectively!

The presenter in the video is talking about the mistake we always done when we use the powerpoint to do our presentation. I think that among all these mistakes,the mistake that I always taking during presentation is the first mistake, it is put all the words in the powerpoint and just read it out during my presentation. I will done this mistake because I think that my language is not good and I will forget what I want to present as well as the audience will not understand what I am talking about if I don't do like this. However, after watch this video, I will try to change my mistake and try my best to have a good presentation with a best powerpoint.

First opinion about the speaker is that he is able to attract the audience and make them enjoy his presentation. Actually I think it's the way of how we should speak during presentation. And about the PowerPoint mistakes, it's really common for us to do that, but it's avoidable. Most important element in our presentation is the way of our speech flows.

This video is really funny. Don McMillan is a very good presenter. He also has sence of humour that always makes his audience laughing. Actually, the massage from this video is the mistakes that presenter always done when using power point. Too much words and just read it, spelling mistakes, too any bullet and others. After watching this video clip,i understand that why my every english presentation marks is lower than i target.Before this,i just tell all the words on the screen of the power point,only memories all the point.Uncorrectly spelling and language also will affect the presentation.Make sure that our power point are not 'bad colour' schemes.It will make audience feel confuse,headache and boring.

Firstly,Don Mcmillan use the powerpoint to present his speech which is good but he always turn his back towards the audience.However,he is very funny and everyone likes to hear from him.I think most of the people listen to his speech without feeling bored or sleepy.His powerpoint is too long and he included many points in it with many spelling errors.Thank you

Powerpoint is not the head in presentation.The video actually let we know about the lack of powerpoint wich have long words,bored type of font and many more that can reduce audiences impress.Furthermore,powerpoint make we talk just what displayed on da screen and not using our own words.So,just make the simple and the more attractive powerpoint or just go on your speech with your ability.

To see Don Mcmillan doing his presentation is more interesting than to know the content of the presentation. One example for a good performer because he can attract people to focus and catch up things that he want to inform. Some of the common mistakes that he said are also the same mistake that I have done in my past presentations. Watching it also can make me learn to become a better presenter.

In my opinion, this is an instructional presentation. He is telling us the do’s and don’ts in our presentation. It is important that our power point slides must not be too packed with information. Sometimes the less is more. If I’m the audience, I will have hard time to read the graphs like what he had preseted in the clip.
And one thing is that humourous talk captures our attention more.

I really enjoy watching this video clip,as if i were attending his presnentation! This is because he delivered his speech in a relaxed way while using a variety of intonations and body languages to catch the audiences attraction. That's the thing that i want to learn and use it in my presentation.
I get the messages from Don Mc millan's speech.
1.We shouldn't put lots of notes in our PowerPoint slides. 2.Check the spelling. 3.Use bullet points where necessary. 4.Use proper colour scheme and font. 5.Minimise the number of slides. 6. Simplify the data.
The most important thing is to make sure that our speech flows smoothly,avoid unnecessary pauses, and talk humorously in order to capture audiences' attention.

I have learnt a lot on how to arrange my slide show through this video. We must not put too many texts, insert too many bullet points, insert bad colours on the background, put too many images and too much data. I feel that it is important for us to know how to arrange our data, text or images properly in our slide show. We audiences want to see something simple, meaningful and interesting. I am sure nobody would want to crack their head to figure out what is shown on the screen while he or she is busy listening to the presenter at the same time. It would be confusing.

In this video, the presented tell about the common mistake made by the others presented in the slide shows. The slide shows must only have a minimum word to shows to the audience and not pull all the word and this will make the presented like reading a text and not presented anything. The second, the presented should recheck their spelling because if there are a spelling mistake it’s makes the presented look very stupid in front of people. The third, the presented stress on that the slide must not have too much bullet point and all the bullet point make audience annoying and the message that the presented want to deliver will not digest by audience. Then, then color of the background also plays and important rule in the presentation because a too bright color will make the audience become dizzy and make them don’t want to heard our presentation anymore. And last, the power point should not have too much information because it does will make people annoying and make us as presented not present anything because all the information already in the slide shows.

For this video, the presenter used the power point as the main apparatus to present. However he used the power point, he always contact the audience, used the suitable body language and sometimes do the jokes to make the audience funny and laughing. The voice of presenter very clear, loud and have a tones. This video always teach me how to be a good presenter when used the power point and at the same times want to speech. Its 2 different skills, and not all can do the 2 @ 3 skills at the same times expecially when presentation. This video helped me a lot!!! Thanks.

HE ALSO MENTION ABOUT THE EFFECTIVENESS VS DATA. HE MENTION TOO ABOUT THE FONT ANALYSIS. FONT THAT WE USED IS WHO WE ARE. ITS INFORMATIVE AND HIS PRESENTATION IS NICE AS HE IS SO ENERGETIC, ABLE TO MAKE JOKES AND GOOD VOICE INTONATION. NICE VIDEO.
No wonder Malaysia don’t have many good presenter/ speaker. This is because of them were doing the same thing like Don Macmillan said. Presentation that only based on the power point is very boring. I don’t like people who read or talk in the same intonation. IT IS BORING!.. what Don macmillan said is true. I like relax presentation and sporting speaker or not scheme. It is funny seeing Don talk. “Hey Don, you said the right thing!.”

I do not agree about Don Mac Millan ‘s opinion about disadvantages the PowerPoint. First, I would say about the word that you said is put on slide. It is brings good to us especially the person that lost ability to speak and hear. Moreover, it can prevent from talking many words which make everyone feel boring and unhappy. Second, the words is put in the forms bullet points on the PowerPoint Slide and the sound effect during presentation can help you attract many people to see it especially kids. In addition, the present sound effect in PowerPoint can make everyone cannot sleep and they must watch your presentation until end. About Don Macmillan’s opinion about the colour of slide, you all can change the colour your slide according your favourite. The data that put in form pie chart or graph in slide can make everyone understand easily because the information on slide is nice and interesting to seen. The use animation in PowerPoint slide will attract many people to see especially kids because they is a group that like interesting and new things such cartoon, image and sound. Based my opinion, I hope it help you clear what Don Macmillan is right or wrong said about the disadvantage PowerPoint.

He talking about the points that should underlined when we present a slideshow presentation. From my point of view, as a presentator we should not bore our audience. Besides, we should find the way to make our audience to understand the ideas. our slide show should be simple and more informative

In preparing power point,do not state all the words in the slides.Just mention the main point.Then,make sure that there is no mistake like spelling mistake in your slides and recheck your slide before present.If you are present a data like a graph,make sure that your data in the simplest form and easy for audience to read it.Decorate your slides with an attractive color screen.If there is a lot of animation in your slide,the audience is more difficult to understand.Lastly,choose the best font to your slides.

salam..after i see this video,this video always shows the mistakes on how we use the power point.don macmillan has list down the point that have we to do in presenting a power point there is don't put many key point or bullet point in one slide, don't put a lot of visual in one slides, its makes audience have sight ache.don't put a bad colour skin,recheck the spelling if there is a red line on the word and last but not least, choose the correct font because the font that you choose its picture yourself who you are.i think that's all.thank you.

the speaker was a really good person in detecting the normal mistake for a standard speaker.....
what the speaker said in this video is really precise to me, this is because we are concious from our own mistakes while preparing the slides.... we can explain the data by put in the graph form but we are not have to put as many information that we have, this will leads to a crowded data and the audience have spent their time in understanding the data that we present.... i like to this speaker in how his deliver the speech by make an action and also a joke related to his slides....

DonMcmillan is a funny person.He is not only make the audience laughing but he able make me smile broadly.In his presentation,he give a lots of tips how to used Power Point with right way.In the slide we should mention only the main point not the elaboration.If in one slide full with elaboration,the audience will get bored.Besides,we must check our spelling before start the presentation.If we do the mistakes,it shows that we are not alert with something.Put the graph or pictures in slide is very interesting but don't over.We do not need put information with it because it will look crowded.Futhermore,the audience will more understand when look the slide.

In this video,the presenter, Don Mcmilan told us the common mistake that we usually do in the power point presentation.After watching the video, i have learnt how to avoid making mistake and how to make the presentation well.First, we should not put too many word in a slide.We should only put important point in the slide so that the audience won't feel when reading our slide.Second,we should check our spelling mistake.If the got redline then we should check properly to see whether it is correct or not.Third,we should not choose the bad colour scheme. Clashing background colour with front word can lead to distrating , annoying,confusing, headache and lost of boarder control.Therefore,in order to make a good presentation,this are the things that we should remember in our mind.
From my opinion, this video show about the wrong way of using power point. One of the wrong way is using many words in a long paragraph. The other mistake is using a wrong spelling and also using too many bullet of point to show a point. There is also the wrong way of using color, make a pack data that make it hard to read and understand. Sometimes the figure also confusing, boring, and many more. I think this also funny video and very interesting..hehehe
After watching this video,i learn few common mistakes made by the presenter while using power point.Some of the criteria which they thought are good becomes cons for their presentation.There are few things we should aviod during Power Point presentation. Firstly, do not turn every words going to say in their Power Point. Then, please care of your spelling mistakes. Avoid using so many bullet pointing when doing presentation.
