I have comment on Jane Pitfield. She should not pointed her finger to the audience,For me,that is very rude!To become a leader, the one should be passionate and let the subordinates trusted in his or her.I also agree with the Mark Bowden who is the gestures specialist, said that Miller should be the leader. From this video clip,i learnt that different people have their own styles during presentation and some of the actions should be avoided. The presenattion is for audience and not for ourselves!

This video is about showing three persons in a competition . They are competing who will win the best way of delivering a speech. I find the man who put his hand in his pocket annoying because it makes me feel that he is not really paying 100% attention or interest in giving his speech as he was busy puting his hand in his pocket. It have me a sense of discomfort and lack of confidence. Whereas the lady who was pointing all the way towards the audience when she spoke was too aggressive. So,I would agree with the final decision that the man who posed the best when he put his both arms out and naturally wave it lightly when he spoke.

As a speaker, our behaviour is very important.Because all of the audience will only give focus towards the speaker which is stands in front.Information given by the speaker must have correct theory.Audience will trust trully to the speaker'statements.Body language and speaking skill can make the presentation more interested.Dont copy straightly to the speaker style. Each of the speaker have their different style.

The element in the video that impressed me the most is the quote that appear in the last bit of the video. "Great speakers are not born...they take training" In my opinion, practice do make perfect. In order to be successful in anythings, there is only one formula which is to be hardworking and never give up. !! Success=99%hard work+1%talent. Without hard work, talent is nothing.

Among the Mayor candidates, they have their own behavior including bad and good behaviour.Everybody have their own style and tactics in attracting their suppoters to vote them. But,in my opinion,it is very rude to pointed fingers towards audience and putting hand inside pocket...For me, a good leader should have good manners.

Candidates should shows their good behaviour and do not show their bad.The candidates have their own behaviour and styles. The must remember that everyone is watching them and they are the role model for them. So,they must control their behaviour and anger.Do not point their finger when they are angry and when he puts his hand in the pocket,it shows that he is lack of confidence.

Actually I don't fully understand about this video. What I get from it is, there are three candidates in this competition. They have to make a speech in front of the audience. As they were strugling to be the best, some of them cannot perform very good. Like the women, she has her pasionate in speech but the movement of her hand makes she look rude. Besides that, the way of the specky man put his hand in his pocket is not suitable. I think, the best way to give a speech is like the man with white hair. His movement is smooth and make the audience comfortable. Thank you.

What I realise from this clip is that every movement of body is being watched by the audience. It is important that we have to be careful with our body language. I also agree with the statement “ not what they said, but how they said it”. The ideas or the topic that they are saying are almost the same but the way they say it are different. Each of them has got their own style.
and they speak with confidence to win the hearts of the public.

In the presentation, not only the point and the contents are judged but also the skills of presentation. Those skills are including the body language, eye contact and the tone used by the presented. These also mean that the presented should be confident to take the audience will trust the presented. In this video, every each presented delivers their idea or their point in different which like move their hand dramatically or point to audience and move only one hand while the others hand in the pocket.

For this presentation, sorry to says i dont understand 100% about this video. It's just a comment back about the candidates from 3 person and more too debates. Besides the point taht we want to present, the candidate should know the audience. Pointed her finger to audience is very bad attitude, and is too rude!!! And it can show you is not a good leaders. The candidates always to talk about the current issue and not gives the audience the changes. Sometimes, the speech is too fast. But, the voice are loud and clearly..That's all for my comment..

"The great speaker are not born.. they take training." I like this last words that were shown at the end of these video. I was agreed with this words. All of the mayorial candidates have their own styles and their own body language. It were clearly shown that people see their movements and their body language. And people will be judge the presenter based on their body language and movements. Although i don't like nthis video very much but i was i like one of the candidates. That is a man who walk around. He was brave to do that without thinking what anyone will said.

BISMILLAH.. I THINK THIS VIDEO IS ALL ABOUT OBSERVATION OR ANALYSIS ON PEOPLE BODY LANGUAGE AND HIS OR HER CHARACTER AND LEADERSHIP SKILL. 3 CANDIDATES DELIVERED A SPEECH WITH EACH OTHER STYLE TO GET A PLACE FOR A TOP JOB. IT FOCUSING MORE ON PITFIELD AND MILLER. PITFIELD SEEMS AGGRESSIVE WHEN DELIVER HER SPEECH BY POINTING HER HANDS TO HER AUDIENCE. ITS LIKE BLAMING PEOPLE FOR ME. FOR ME SHE IS NOT A GOOD LEADER AS WHEN SHE IS BEING INTERVIEW, SHE BLAMING MILLER ALL TIME SAID HE IS THAT AND HE IS THAT WITHOUT KNOWING HER MISTAKES. MILLER SEEMS GREAT AS HIS IS NOT ONLY SEEMS CONFIDENT WITH HIS SPEECH, HE ALSO USE OPEN DOUBLE HAND WHILE GIVE SPEECH. HE WALK AROUND THE FLOOR AND SHAKING HAND WITH THE AUDIENCE WHICH FOR ME AN EXAMPLE OF A GOOD LEADER. THE OTHER MAN CANDIDATE SEEMS NOT CONFIDENT WITH HIS SPEECH WITH HIS HAND IN HIS BACK POCKET, TOO LAY BACK AND TOO CASUAL. SO TODAY I REALLY REALIST THAT BODY LANGUAGE IS SO MUCH IMPORTANT AS IT SHOWS WHO WE ARE. ITS ALL ABOUT WHAT WE SAID AND HOW WE SET IT.

The big mistake that Jane Pitfield did is pointing her fingers to the audiences. It looks like she was instructing the audiences to follow her policies in an unyielding attitude.Big big mistakes. She acted aggressively.
While Miller did a good job.He talked in a relaxed and casual way,and this will make the audiences comfortable and hence vote for him.He was passionated.
In conclusion, our body gestures are important in our personal presentation. Body gestures make a difference and help a lot.Use body gestures where necessary.
Thank You.

When I watch the NVC Mayorial Candidates Debate Programs that shown by British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC). I feel interesting when I see how the body language expert is analysis their body language of three candidates during debate. After finish his analysis, he tells us about how the body language of candidate is react. In first candidates, his body language shown he is has leadership characteristic and brave to face a new challenge. For second candidate, her body language do not any leadership characteristic and scared to accept new improvement. Moreover, her action is stuck with words or opinion of old idea. In third candidate, his body language is show he is intelligent and has many great idea but his boy language is late giving respond based with speech. Based on statement that given above, I agree that the body language expert decided that first candidate win the battle of body language.

It's about the body language when we give a talk. In this video I see that the important of good body language to attract people to vote for them. Candidate that can give a good speech with good body language have high chance to win. I also get that pointing to audience is a bad habit for a speaker to practice.

I have no ideas on what to comment about this video. But the thing that I got is, as a person who gives speech to other, we should beware about our gesture that we show to audience. But as a mayor who want to attract people around them, they should show an effectives performance. So people will believe on what they said.

this video is all about a competition of three candidates in order to become a mayor.so,as a future leader they need to present in front of the audience and make the audience chose them as a mayor.actually, what we said is not important but how we said is the best part. the three of the candidates show different stails of communication skills.they have their own commmunication skills and their own confident in front of the audience...

Body language plays an important role while delivered a speech. This is because the body language will make the presentation more attractive and confidence. So that,it is easy for audience to understand the message that have delivered. From the body language, the speaker looks more patient, confidence, casual and aggressive.

sparthiban89 (KA09151) said...

I support Mark Bowden suggestion because Miller having a excellent body language and behave like a educated person by respecting others. I really againts the Jane Pitfield attitude because she does not respect the people sit in front of her. She point her's hand towards the people. This attitude shows like she is a stubborn aggresive person.

What I understand about this video is,it tells about 3 candidates which are they compete each other and do the best to get a place for a top job. Each candidates has their own style or body languages during give the speech. This is important because they need attract audience's attention to vote them. From my observation,I did not agree the way Jane deliver her speech because she pointing her finger towards audience.Maybe she wants attract attention but it seem like a rudeness.I think Miller is the best leader because he fullfill all the criteria to be a leader. He walk around on the floor shaking hands with the audience. This shows he is very friendly. The last candidates is he looks like not really confident with himself during give talk because he put his hand in his pocket. He should use both hands while give the speech. So the audience should think twice before vote them.Remember, great speaker are not born but they take trainning.Thank you...

this video shows that there are 3 candidates that compete each other to get the places of the jobs....
i dont really like the pinpointing finger by jane, her actions will leads to the audience unhappy or dissapointed towards her while she prsent a speech..
there are 2 mens, the mens that have an interaction with the audience are the good speaker, tjis is because his are look very polite to all the audience there...
and the other mens are looks rude to me because he put his other hands in his pocket... thats shows a bad attitude among the speaker...

This video shows that there are 3 persons having the competition in order to selected to be the best leader in the city top job. Mark Bowden is invited to judge the 3 candidates base on their body language and movement. In this video, we clearly see that Miller is best leader among others because he walking around on the floor and shake hand with people,it's show that he is friendly and a nice person. Moreover,he is passionate and move his hands dramatically during the speech. It's show that he is confident and having a well presentation.I do like Jane Pitfield the way she pointing at people when she delivered the speech. She looks angry, rude and aggressive. The last candidate give the impression intelligent, having a great idea and entertaining. However,he did not show to be a good presenter because he put his hand in his pocket and give a sense of discomfort. In order to be a good speaker or presenter, training is very important, just like what the last stament said" Great Speaker Are Not Born... They Take Training".

When watching this video, I agree with the expert that choose Jane Pitfield as the winner because she is so confident while giving a speech. This is because the way of her body language that use her hand like pointing someone with confidently. Miller also a good speaker but sometimes his word is stuck and he repeat the same sentence for two times and he feel nervous.

Body language is one of the most important part in a best presentation. The audience will focus on all our language, sentence, pronounciation as well as every pronounciation in our presentation. As a conclusion, we should take our body language carefully during the presentation. We cannot have any movement which will make the audience feel unconfidence and unpolite. For example, we cannot point the people directly with the finger. It is an unpolite action.

This video is all about analyzing the mayor candidates speaking skills. From my point of view, Jane Pitfield is really. As a speaker we are bounded by rules and regulations. to be a best speaker we should learn to control our emotions. As we know, emotion a silent killer. The last speaker looking very tensed and loses his confidence. The way he putting his hand in the pocket makes his speech become boring. As a conclusion, Miller is the best speaker. He knows how to perform well and attract the audience.
