The best way to make our audience to feel sleepy is by turning your back to them.In my opinion, this is the most important thing that we can learn from this video. When we become a presenter someday,we will definitely want to avoid doing the thing i mentioned above. We can see when the guy in the video stress that there are even research that is being conducted to prove this statement and from this research it is found that people gives attention when they see us from the front view in which they can clearly see our face. So,we should avoid from turning our back to anyone.........

From this video clip, it say that when do the presentation dont back our audience because we will lose the concentration from the audience. Also, speak louder and clear to make the audience understand what we present to them.

Hello again..based on this video clip,we can clearly conclude that when we deliver our speechs, please,do not turn your back from the audiences. When we always look at the point that we write on,automatically we will forget about the aundiences that are presence. Therefore,in order to get back their attentions,we need to look directly into their eyes and of course,we need to face the audiences. As we turn our back, the audiences could not understands clearly about the points that we deliver.

Some tips to overcome this problem...just remember no body in this world same face as you...you are the one. so, don't be shy or stingy to show your handsome/pretty face to your friend/audience. Haha..have a nice day~~

While doing presentation, do not turn your back to audience. This is because when you turn your back that is show your rudenss to the audience. Do not talk to the screen if you use slideshow. Your eye must contact to the audience while speak to them. Do not ever show your back.

It is true that when we read from the power point slide, there will be no any body language which will surely make our presentation to be dull and it is also rude thing to do. We must remember that we are presenting to our audience not for ours self.

Do you ever wonder why turning your back to the audience is not allowed? We cannot have eye contact with the audience, they cannot read our lips and see our face! This will be a terrible presentation! Don't ever turn your back to the audience!

dont turn you back to the audience. audience want to see your face expression to build the interest in hearing your speech

CHUA YEE LEONG (MA09070) said...

Well, it's truth that by facing ourselves to the screen and speaking while we are not facing the audience, it was not just rude but also making the audience sleepy. Since from the study that our body language take about fifty percent in our communication with outhers, fourty percent in voice quality and intonation , and the words we speak just take about eight percent in communication. Just imagine how important is it to face the audience when you are delivering the speech, and not facing the screen, the power point. Only then we can deliver a great and effective speech to the audience.

Thiwaan Rao (MA09136) said...

Why must a speaker turn behind when he or she is giving a speech? This clearly shows that the speaker is not willing share their knowledge with the audience. When a speaker turn back while delivering a speech, there will no eye contact. The speaker can't deliver his or her message to the audiece. The speech will become boring and dull. To give a perfect speech, the speaker should not look at the screen or the power point presentation.

For me, I think this is the mistake that the speaker always make without realize that they had ignoring their audience view. when the audience does not concentrate with what the speaker's talking about, the communication process that happens only just involve one way communication only. The eyes contact communication is the main factor in this situation for the both of the group. I suggest that when the speaker want to take something or doing something else when he or she was in the presentation session, he or she must view all the action to their audience.

Haha that was funny. it does not make sense anyway. if a speaker turned around and talk to his audience, what kind of expression is he giving to the audience? Maybe the auience taught that he is crying and at the same time giving speech? Expression is very important when giving speech to attract the audience concentration. Therefore it is no need to turn around when we are giving speech.

i think that turning back to the audience is not a proper manner..it will create a bad opinion on the speaker...

do you like someone talking to you while he is facing the other side and not focusing on you..?we will surely feel bored and angry with that person, aren't we..?so,in this video Tj walker try to highlight that we must not turn our back towards audiences because it kind of rudeness..besides,we must maintain eye contact with our audiences all the time especially when we are giving speech or presenting something..we must remember not to talk while our mouth facing the screen because we must bear in mind that the power point is for the audiences so all the things that we are doing are for our audiences..so how are they going to listen to us if we turn our back..?so,what we must do is to face our audiences with confident and then only we deliver our presentation..
that's all..
tahnks...

DO NOT TURN YOUR butt to the audience. not your butt explain your prsentation but your face and your mouth. so,face your aoudience, and give a beautiful smile to them. so, they would not sleep.

blogger said...

As tj walker said turning back has the equal meaning as betrayal. The same thing goes to those who give a speech to their audience by turning their back.It would also turn the concentration of the audience to other place.so it very important to talk to the audience by facing them so that audience could understand our impression.

Hi madam..good topic..don't turn your back.I totally agree with this topic because this action will make audience feel unhappy. It is not proper manner. If you do that, you can't deliver your message and make audience feel bored at the end.So try smile and used different way to tackle your audience.
