Don't turn your back to audience during your presentation. It is very rude and unpolite way.The presentation is going to be very bored if you keep turning back your back looking at the screen and just read what are written in the slides. To make a presentation become interesting ,we can play on our facial expressions, movements of hands, hair, body languages, and our tone of voice. The audience might fall asleep if they are bored with your presentation. If we really need to turn back ,just turn back for a few seconds and quickly face the audience again because the presentation is for the audience, not for our own.

The video is teaching us don't turn your back during presentation. We should always face the audience because we are presenting our concept and ideas to the audience, not to the screen at the back. The powerpoint presentation also prepared for the audience and not for ourselves. However, for my opinions, usually the people will done this mistake because they do not have enough confidence on their presentation.Maybe they did not do the homework well before the presentation started or they done the job in the last minute until they can't remember all the point they need to present during the presentation, so they should always to turn their back to read the powerpoint on the screen at back. For a good presenter, it is no need to turn their back to read their powerpoint because they already know what they want to present to the audience and they can present smoothly in their presentation.

That's right. It's really rude to turn your back when presenting something. Sometimes your voice cannot hear by the audience because you are facing the screen. Beside that, it show your nervousness obviously to the audience and automatically make them doesn't interested to hear your presentation. Remember, our presentation for audience not for the screen. Thank you.

TJ said it all. It's really rude when you turn your back during presentation. When we do that, we are not respecting our audiences. However I think don't turn your back is a basic manner and everyone should know about this and we all have no excuse to do it. Remember, respect our audiences. !!

If i'm one of the crowd of audience,i also will fell bored to look at the back part of the speaker. It is a rudely behaviour.Dont just read directly towards the screen, speaker should just look at the main points and elaborate to the audience. The screen is provided for the audience not for the speaker.I'm sure that all of the audience are more likely to look to the speaker face and body action than the screen.

It is so suprise he starts his presentation by showing his back.It is so unpredictable.I think many presenter always turn back and look at the powerpoint during presentation. They also read the text from the powerpoint. Then, they do not interact and have an eye contact with the audience at all.It makes the audience do not have interest to hear the presentation.

For me, starting presentation from turn back sometimes make a surprises to audience and make them too excited to listen the speech. But for me, is not suitable and for me assume rude to audience. The voice of presenter very clear and loud. The presenter have good eyes contact and body language with audience. The message delivered. The presenter give a good example. If the presenter want to turn back, can but just for a few minute.

What TJ Walker said is absolutely right, and I agree with his reason and sugesstion. The reason we are doing the presentation is to present it to the audience not to our self. Although we have to read the point in the slide show, we must doing it in a right way.Try to not turn back to the audience. It is a waste to prepared a good power point presentation if we not doing a good performance to the audience.

BISMILLAH.. THIS MOVIE IS ALSO ABOUT OUR BEHAVE DURING PRESENTING OUR SPEECH USING POWER POINT AND SLIDE SHOW. TO MAKE THE AUDIENCE UNDERSTAND AND INTERESTED WITH OUR PRESENTATION, THE BASIC RULE IS BY NOT TURNING OR SHOWING OUR BACK TO THE AUDIENCE. THE REASONS ARE, FIRST, FOR CERTAIN PEOPLE, THE BEHAVIOR SEEMS LIKE BETRAYING THEMSELVES. AND FOR OTHER REASON, IT SEEMS RUDE AND IMPOLITE. A GOOD PRESENTER SHOULD COME WITH A GOOD BODY LANGUAGE AS WELL AS FACIAL EXPRESSION AND GOOD AND SUITABLE VOICE INTONATION TO ATTRACT PEOPLE ATTENTION AND AVOIDING THEMSELVES FROM SLEEP. ITS OK FOR THE PRESENTER TO SOMETIMES TURNING BACK AT THE SLIDE BUT MAKE IT FASTER AND LOOK BACK AT HIS AUDIENCE. BY REMEMBERING THAT THE SLIDE SHOW IS FOR AUDIENCE NOT FOR THE PRESENTER AND PRACTICING THIS, IT WILL BE OK. IT SHOULDN'T BE A PROBLEM AT ALL FOR A WELL PREPARED PRESENTER.

this video teach us many things while giving speech..first we clearly know that we should not turn our back to audience when we are giving a speech.this act is a kind of rudeness..and when we should not just staring on the screen of slide show...from this video i learn that what should not do while giving a speech

This is a very common mistake presenters always make which is turning their back when they speak to the audiences. We must be trully prepared and know every detail of our presentation, so we will not turn our back to look at the slide show when we speak. At that time, the slide show are only for the audiences and not for the presenter. The presenter needs to have eye contact with the audiences. However, it is alright to stop for a while to look back for a few seconds when the slide show appears.

A video clip that give us a simple message-Do not turn your back on your audiences while talking. This is what we usually did in our presentation.
To avoid this, we have to make sure that we are well-prepared,or do some rehearsal. We should facing to the audiences when talking. This is the basic communication manner. As told, turning our back while talking is very rude.
Thank You.

I like the way he started this clip. I find it very catchy. Like what he said, DON’T ever turn our back facing the audience when we are talking. Its rude and the audience can’t stay connected with the speaker. Another thing that I learn is that, we got to do one thing at a time. For example, if we want the audience to read the slides, we take a step back for a few seconds, and then only we continue talking.

To be are polite and good presented don’t shows your back to audience. Those actions make us as a rude person. But it is okay if we are turn back for a while in cases to stress on something that important on the slide that you want shows or tell audience. The Power Point is made for audience to get clear picture what are the presented what to say and you as presented don’t have to look at the slide too like the audience unless you are not the person that made the slide. And the presented that turn their back make the audience easily become boring with the presentation.

Watching TJ Walker video once again. Hmm.. I guess he have so much information to be a good speaker. And once again I agree with him. Turn your back when you are speaking is like betray your friends. Your audience will feel they were betrayed and how rude doing that. For me, i hate people who turn back from me while speaking to me. When that happen, i’ll get out from that place. Because to me, when people rude to me, i will rude to them too. When i am being nice to that person, i want tht person to be nice to me too.

What do you feel when your friend turn back on from you ? This feel that you get is similar with the audience when you turn your back on from them during give speech. If you want your turn back on without make everyone feel unhappy, follow a few of step. First, you must introduce your concept. Then, you talk about your idea and set up the slide of PowerPoint for the audience see it. Lastly, visual your idea that make your idea is alive. After that, you can turn back on to screen and shut your mouth to see the points of words on slide while the audience can focus to the slide.

Dont turn your back to audiences!! This so rude to audiences. the audiences will think that u not respect to them.It also will make the audiences feel regret to watching your presentation. You can turn your back but only for a few minutes and also can show the point that you want to elaborate. So, the audiences will see the points and understand the points. The important thing for presantation is try to not turn your to audiences.

Attention!!.I learnt something from this video clip,it is very useful for me as a presenter.Guess what?.Don't ever turn back to the audience when read the Power Point. It is very rude action and it likes we as a presenter acts as betrayed to our audience.Besides, if we do like that, the audience can't hear the messages clearly. It is not wrong turn our back to look the slide but just only a few seconds.Remember it!.After that,we turn our back facing the audience and explain the point using good body language.

Dineshkumar (ka09120) said...

I agree with TJ Walker. I have an experience in attending such a bad speech. I very tensed. Of course the audience dont like to see your back. Just turning back and reading the slides doesnt makes sense. Its makes the audience to feel sleep and bored. To make our ideas to spread effectively, we should make our speech to be intresting. Facial expressions and body language is the important element that should be considered before giving a speech.

"Rude..". That what I can say when I is the listener to the presenter that always turn his or her back. When the presenter always turn his or her back that mean no eye contact with the audience. When no eye contact that mean that was useless talk because audience will sleep to death. Nobody will care on what are you talking about.

Based on the video, the good speaker cannot turn back during the presentation because the presentation are for the audiences. Our voices cannot hear by the audiences clearly if we turn back.In my opinion, turn back during the pesentation is not a good attitude for a good speaker...thank you

I quite surprised with the starting of the video when i saw the presenter turn his back. After watching the video,i agree that someone should not turn back during the presentation because it is rude and not respecting the audience. It's look like talking to himself/herself.Besides that,it may oso show your nervous in front of the audience. In order to make a well presentation, facing the audience and talk to them confidently is very important. However, turn your back for a few second to look the slide show is acceptable but don't do it too frequently otherwise will spoil your presentation.

"It is so rude!"..maybe this sentence will come out from the mouth of the audience when the presenter turning his back.the audience maybe fall asleep because they cannot hear the presenter's voice clearly and loudly.actually, the audience want to see our expression especially when delivering the presentation.so, please do not speak when facing the screen and look back to the audience as fast as possible...

While delivered your speech,do not turn your back to the audience. This is because it acts as you are betray to your audience. You need to show your expression while delivered your speech.Remember that the power point presentation is for your audience, not for you.During presentation, you should looking to your audience and try to make members with them.If you turn your back to the audience,it will make your audience sleepy and boring.

what i can comments about this video is tj are trying to deliver his information on how about that a good speaker should not turn back during his presentation.
if this thing happened, the audience would feel bored and they might went out from the speech.
we should not let the mistake in speech that we do going for a few minutes, we should ignore all that by make a something that can cover our mistake before. that a characteristic of a good speaker don't ever ever show our mistakes by looking up or make a worst face actions or something fooled...

hi....first of all my comment is dont turn the back to your audience.if u turn the back to your audience that is some kind of rudeness you are showing to the audience. we can lose a lots of points by doing that.the presentation is for the audience so there is no point turning the back to the audience. we can turn for the moment for looking the at the slide but we must talk looking at the audience

At the beginning of this video, I am curiously thinking why the speaker turn back on the audience and it look like weird to someone give a speech by that way. It is rude to the speaker when back on the audience because it don’t make a sense. Body language is very important to the audience. The speaker should not talk while facing the screen because it not suitable.
